12 Deer / MANIK – Wisdom of Forgiveness

12 Deer / MANIK

12 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

Galactic Tone 12 offers the intention to collect our thoughts to draw Truth from a new understanding. We are given a gift for retrospection that helps us connect  disassociated parts into a new whole. Our experiences are capable to offer something more as we look at them collectively. Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of Spirit Tools that can share the understanding of how to best apply what we have learned.

Our journey through the Wisdom/CIB trecena has led us to seek Higher Consciousness through a direct correspondence with God and from the wisdom of the Ascended Masters. Both are capable to see to the Heart of our Challenges. God offers the Grace of Unconditional Love. These Ancient Ones realized the Way to rise above their own Human nature and share the Highest Wisdom drawn from Human Experience. We are prepared to rise to the next Higher Level of Consciousness by seeking guidance from the Source of our Divine Authority.

Deer brings the energy of a powerful gentleness. Gentleness means that we are “free from harshness, sternness, or violence.” Though at first we may not equate gentleness with strength, our world shows clear evidence that gentleness can accomplish far more than the power of brute force. When we seek Divine Guidance we are led by the Hand of True Understanding. Deer reveals this as the Spirit Tool that empowers us to move through life’s obstacles with the Silent Power of Grace.

Gentleness is not the same as weakness, but the silent authority of standing in our own Truth. We are each given our own True North, no less meaningful than the next. We can accept and consider the Truth of others without being in defense of our own. By acknowledging our Shared Divinity, we can maintain harmony and balance through the Power of Forgiveness and Unconditional Love. No one experience is greater or lessor than the other, and all work together for the Greater Wisdom of All.

As Galactic Tone 12 calls us to reflection, Deer brings the sensitivity and intuition to draw meaning and purpose from the new Truths unfolding. Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan Priest who, as God’s own hand in the world, extends the blessing of Divine Grace and Unconditional Love.

To all my relations, may we experience the silent power of the Deer to receive the Gift of God’s Pure Love. May we find the strength to stand silently in our own Truth through our direct connection to Divine Guidance. And, may we extend our own Hand to offer the Grace of Forgiveness to others so we may manifest a Higher Consciousness of God’s Unconditional Love.

in lak’ech, i am another you

12 Deer (Hand)/MANIK, (Cherokee Deer Ahwu’sdi)

Galactic Tone 12: Twelve is a gift of great capacity of retrospection. It is this ability that allows Twelve to connect disassociated parts into a (new) functioning whole. The energy of Twelve is that which presents a new piece of understood information or accumulated experience to be applied.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.

NEW DAY KEEPERS: My sacred intention for the new Tzolk’in round is to offer more personal support to those who may want to learn more about ways to draw personal meaning from the calendar. I will be offering an Introductory Guided Course for Day Keepers in the near future. Contact me if this is something you would be interested in! Also, if you’d just like help identifying your Day Sign, I’m more than happy to help. Blessings, in lak’ech Debra (debra.malmos@gmail.com)

  1. Thank you for this post. I was not sure whether or not to post my poem on forgiveness. I saw your title, and knew I must :). And I am discovering my totem voice is deer – so thank you so much for your meditation on qualities of gentleness and strength 🙂

  2. Manik/Kej always means for me an eternal pilgrimage of life itself. Never arriving anywhere, just staying on the road constantly. On the 12th day of the trecena it ties in nicely with the Cib/Ajmaj idea of sacredness and introvertness. To understand (12) the divine (Cib) is a constant pilgrimage to your own personal temple…
I didn’t know about the Cherokee connection between Manik and the constellation Torus. It makes so much sense. How didn’t I see it before?

    Thanks Debra,
