5 Wind / IK – Healing by Truth: Day 5

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

5 Wind/IK

5 Wind/IK

Greetings Kin,

Our recovery from Flint’s “surgery” is now underway. What stood in the way of our Spiritual Growth was brought to Light to be cut away. We found stability under the care of a Divine Mother. Now Tone 5 brings the gift of New Power through the Breath of Life and Spirit, Wind/IK.

At our birth, the Element of Air is Human’s first source of Power. The world stands still waiting for the first breath that evidences the Life of a new Human Being. The Latin origin of the word “animate” literally means “to give breath to.”

5 Wind/IK reminds us that our First Gift of Life was the Breath of Spirit that would empower a Divine Communication. The Voice of the Creator is carried on the Wind, and so does the Wind carry the Voice of our Prayers. A Sacred Exchange was the first priority in the Creator’s Dream to manifest our Being for a purpose of Relationship. At the moment we take breath our Spirit takes the form of a Human Be-ing.

THE HAAB/CHOL’AB’ NEW YEAR:* 5 Wind/IK will serve as the Tzolk’in’s new Year Bearer. Falling in the Galactic Week (trecena) of Flint/ETZNAB, our New Year is guided by the Intention of this Day Sign. We could discern that the next 365 days hold the potential for ongoing Refinement, Pruning, and Clearing Away that will restore our Spiritual Integrity. 5 Wind/IK is the Day Sign that will Carry the Power to Manifest the Sacred Intention of this New Year. *The Inspiration Page is updated with a video that shares the New Year traditions of the Maya.

While the Tzolk’in New Year is a time of community celebration and festivals, the Haab/Chol’ab’ New Year is observed more as a time of personal and family celebration. The Family of Human is acknowledged through the celebration of Corn, the symbol of the people. As prayers are offered for growth of the next harvest, the diversity in the colors of corn (red, yellow, black and white) illustrates the differences among Human, and the differences within our Self.

As we enter the process of our own Re-Creation we are reminded to Celebrate our Differences. No two of us were created to be exactly the same. Each is Worthy and Sacred in its own Right as a Creation that is capable to share something new with the Whole. Through the Gift of Free Will, we were each given the Sacred Right of Choice To Be who We Say We Are… the Gift of “I Am.”

5 Wind/IK would teach us of our Own Power to manifest a Spiritual Transformation by speaking the words, “I Am.”  We become who We Say we are. We hold the Sole Power to choose what we would be. Though others may influence our opinion, no one else holds the power to define who we will be.

A re-defining of our Self is what the Core Days of the Tzolk’in are all about. We exist as the Center of our own Universe, and as our own Tree of Life, we are positioned to draw Inspiration from Above to be Manifest Below. Our first use for Sacred Breath is to draw the Life and Light of our Creator. We are guided to cast aside the worldly limits we might impose on ourselves, to see the Real Truth of Possibility through a Vision of Divine Guidance.

Today we are engaged in the Work of Spirit. Serpent/CHICCHAN showed us the way to walk between worlds. We can find our way back through the Power of our Imagination. As we were separated from our  Spiritual rituals and ceremonies (imaginary events), we lost our fundamental understanding of this power. We lost faith in what was real and began to question whether the Power, too, was only imaginary. Yet, in our collective imagination we set the very parameters of the world around us. We collectively Imagine the New Year as a beginning. Though a Mind of Reason would see no difference from one day to another, collectively we manifested a whole world in agreement with this “imaginary” concept.

The Highest Spiritual Intention of Human is to Love the World back to Light. We can not see the Light in the World until we see the Light in Our Self. Would we make ourselves that last “hold out” as we are called to Imagine a Perfect World? We MUST see the Perfection in our Own Design to Manifest our Spiritual Destiny. How much different would our “I Am” be if we believed in the perfection of our Being?

“I Am” are the keywords for these Core Days. This is a time to employ our Spiritual Gift of Vigilance. No time could be more important to Listen to our own Voice. Through the Breath of Spirit we weld a mighty Sword. If we say, “I Can’t,” we can’t. If we say “I Can,” we Can. Wind/IK brings the Power to Manifest the Highest Version of Ourselves by directing our Sacred Breath to “I Am, I Can, and I Will.”

Through Sacred Breath we are reconnected to the Awareness of Spirit that was with us in the womb. We are given something we can Re-Member to Empower our Will to Survive. As we draw the Breath we can Imagine the Element of Air that is our common connection. We can see in our Imagination the Life that is drawn into our body and the in-pouring of Love from our Creator. In the pause between Breaths, we can crystallize the Vision of our Place in Perfect Wholeness. This is the place where we would Define who we Are, not as we are seen in the world, but as we are seen by the Creator.

Given we are entering a New Year with the Intention of Living in alignment with our Highest Integrity, the words we speak to ourselves will be of utmost importance. It’s time to pay attention and to take a personal inventory of our own pattern of speech. I’m already imagining the sticky notes “I Am…” that I would place in prominent places as a reminder.

To all my relations, may we look within ourselves to find the Highest Expression of our own “I Am.” May these be the Spoken Words to the Creator that would Begin our New Year. May we engage the Sacred Use of our Imagination to share our Words of Truth with the Ancestors that will guide us, and to ask for their help in Raising us to our Highest Aspiration. May we see that the Transformation of Human to Higher Consciousness is about Manifesting the Power of our Minds. We were born with the Power to Dream. Our Imagination is our own Cauldron of Creation. By a choice of our own Free Will, may we Honor the New Year through Ritual and Ceremony, imagining the Truth we learned on our walk between worlds. May we imagine our Heavenly Guides, the Ascended Masters, and the Creator gathered with us at the altar.  On the out-breath of Air, may we offer our Gratitude and Humility as we as ask for a Divine Blessing upon a New Year. On the in-breath, may we Receive the Gift of Being made Whole, NOW. May we remember the Place Between Breaths as our Place Between Worlds. May this be the place we Crystallize the Dream of who we choose To Be.

in lak’ech, I am another you

5 Wind/IK (Cherokee Whirlwind/ DAK’SI   I’SB)

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.

Wind/IK: Breath of Spirit, breath of life. Winds embody the power of dissemination and planting of good seeds or ideas. Dreamers and planners with powerful imaginations, Wind persons make great orators and they spread the word of spiritual inspiration as it is carried by the wind. Wind is the power behind the movement of natural cycles such as weather, erosion, and cultural change. As the wind, these persons are extremely changeable and adaptable. They may appear inconsistent or fickle to others. Wind can be destructive to self and others by putting on airs. When Winds strut and boast, expanding on facts and accomplishments, they are building the dark clouds of trouble that may become hurricanes.

Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA: Whirlwind’s symbol is a double spiral helix in rising smoke. Wind brings energy for an Inquiring mind, learning and wisdom. In Cherokee, the constellations are represented by 12 birds (dancers), the 13th bird is the Whirlwind, the lead dancer. This reflects the whirling of life. Wind is the breath of the Universe (matching the Mayan symbol) channel of communication and carries the Sacred Smoke to the Great Spirit (Source- Hunab Ku in Mayan); matches the pulse of the breath of the Cosmos.

How is your Spiritual path today?

  1. Greetings from Brazil, thank you so much for the work done here. I’ve been tracking and living the Sacred Calendar for over 2 years now and would very much like to keep track of the Haab calendar as well, however I am confused as to what the actual count is for the Haab, You say today is the beginning of the year which to my understanding would translate to 0 POP but everywhere I look on the web I get 5 Kayab as today’s date. Can you please clarify ? Appreciate your time – -.

    • Greetings – thank you for your visit. I too have been learning about the Haab. My understanding, like yours, is that the first month of the Haab new year is POP. There is some confusion between sources – I was taught under Yucatec tradition and have provided links on the Daykeeper Resources page to teachings that were generated from the same school of thought. 4-Ahau.com is a good source and has some more in-depth info on the Haab at http://www.4-ahau.com/en/The_Haab.html I hope this will be helpful, in lak’ech, with love – Debra
