MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 11 represents the Intention of Resolution that “assists every new thing to find its place.” 11 offers a Higher Vision of how our new understanding would actually fit into our lives. Tone 11 leads us to adjustments and simplicity.
Reed/BEN is the Day Sign of the Altar where we Humble ourselves in Communion with the Creator. Reed is also the “guiding light for family and home.”
When we spend time in Spirit, we can get “lost in the ether” in the Lofty Dreams of changing the World. When we return to the Monday of our day-to-day reality, we wonder how the two will fit together. 11 Reed/BEN guides us to find our Sanctuary in home and family, and new Wisdom in our everyday lives.
The weekends have extended my “vacation from the news,” and anything else that might interrupt the Good Dreams of this trecena. On Monday morning I was presented with a challenge that triggered an old fear of driving in Seattle traffic. Could I decline? Could I get there in one piece? I’ve written so many Akbal posts about Human’s Unlimited Possibility, it only took a few minutes to laugh at how contrary my thoughts were to my Truth. (I Manifested New Wisdom from an Old Behavior.)
This is Human’s hard road of life. We aren’t released from our emotions. We’re given the Spiritual Truth to choose them. Facing our Fear we discern what we are afraid of. Then we can Apply our Truth.
Reed/BEN invests itself in bringing peace, harmony, and order to all of their relations. Reed can be inflexible in its High Expectations of others and itself. Only our Ego has the need for perfection. We weren’t expected to live without mistakes, but to celebrate the potential of every experience. Reed is said to be a good day to repair our Home. This is a day to put our Truth to the test in our daily lives – to mend fences, fix what is broken, and help where help is needed, applying our Truth to the routine challenges of life.
As Reed calls our Heart and Minds to Home, we can reflect on the Truth that this is the place where we can do the Most Good, or Inflict the Greatest Harm. Even parents with the Highest Intentions will leave some scars. The wounds of losing our childlike innocence always leave a mark. Home is the place that calls for our greatest responsibility. We share our Greatest Wisdom in leading by example.
To all my relations, may we see how New Truth can be put into service. Through routine application we will establish a pattern of movement that would become second nature. May our Hearts be Opened to Family and Home, acknowledging it as the Sanctuary where Unconditional Love is Most Needed. May we uplift one another with Love in the routine of daily living. May we be most grateful for our Smallest Change, that could become our Greatest Influence. And, may we mark a milestone of a new beginning, so we can look back later to see when an Unseen Miracle began.

11 Reed/BEN (Cherokee, Reed I’hya)
Galactic Tone 11: Resolution; 11 assists every new thing to find its place in the universe in the process of ‘fitting in.’ some modifications must occur. Eleven is the energy of dynamic actions facilitating change, simplification and improvement.
Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeaver to bring peace, harmony, and order to all of their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a lot of appreciation, many have marriage or business problems because of inflexible views and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson of Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe.
Cherokee, Reed I’hya: Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini. Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind. A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.
