MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Crocodile/IMIX is the symbol of a New Dawning and the Beginning of New Life. IMIX is the primordial Mother who holds us in deep and abiding love. As our primary care-giver, IMIX holds the responsibility to teach us the mysteries of Universal Knowledge. IMIX offers us Compassionate Love for the Intention we would bring to Life.
Tone 3 invests us in the action of movement and communication. Movement is the Sign of Life and the creation of a new vibration. A new intention will follow its own natural course of manifestation. What will be manifested depends on the care, feeding, and Love of our own Dream.
IMIX is the Day Sign of Innovation, bringing new thoughts and ideas. We may first experience IMIX’s messages as unrelated thoughts delivered from out of the blue. Their purpose is inspire our Intuition and Imagination. It is said that when IMIX follows its heart it is seen as “Genius.”
3 Crocodile/IMIX begins the 5th Uinal of Empowerment. Through the next 20 days, we will receive the Power that will produce a new Harvest of Personal Transformation. Through the completion of the CAUAC trecena, this Power will be directed toward the Regeneration of our Spiritual Strength.
IMIX encourages us to think like a genius. Einstein engaged wild ideas as “thought experiments” and broke new grounds of science chasing a beam of light. Where did his ideas come from? He was inspired by everything he saw around him and found purpose in life by imagining the unknown.
IMIX guides us to think of the things we Love. She knows that our Passion is all that’s needed to find new and innovative ways to invest ourselves in a Dream of Happiness.
Sun/AHAU encouraged us to reach for something beyond the limits of the known. IMIX would engage our passion to move toward our Heart’s Desire. Our Spiritual Revival is limited only by what we can imagine. The Heart’s Desire of our Creator is that we would become Spiritual Warriors of Love. This Divine Intention is embedded in our design.
ENERGY NOTE FROM SUN/AHAU: Sun/AHAU sometimes appears as GLARING Light. AHAU seemed to magnify with intensity ALL my unknowns, making for some challenging energies. If you are experiencing the same, energy may shift on 5 Night/AKBAL or 7 Serpent/CHICCHAN. (AKBAL is known for a breakdown that leads to a breakthrough.) If that doesn’t translate into “easier” energies, 7 CHICCHAN should smooth things out on the day of Balance. Sun/AHAU would encourage us to take it all in stride and keep our focus on the goal. These are days when I fall back to the proven and worthy Spiritual Tools… burning some sage and sweetgrass, or burning a Bay Leaf (laurel leaf) can also add comfort to a room. Shadow is spending an over-night at the vet so they can get the samples they need. I can hardly bear it. We must remember how other sisters and brothers are suffering SO MUCH MORE in the darkness and be strong in our Faith For Them. We can hold Gratitude and Appreciation for the our blessings… for the most basic things, and the things that really matter. The turning of the season is also an important time of self-care, while our body is also bearing change. Broths, steamed rice, and herbal teas help to ease tension. (At least I’m going to give it a try.) Remember that the intended Ascension of the Storm/CAUAC trecena is Renewal and Regeneration, and there was bound to be a storm.
IMIX is a symbol of the Divine Feminine. Sun/AHAU was the masculine energy that inspires and application of Will and Power. IMIX inspires us Compassionate Love and the Discernment of the Voice of the Creator.
Today I am feeling this overwhelming Compassionate Love for my dear cat Shadow. It became clear that her recent change in behavior is more than just an allergic reaction to her new food. She has been one of the most loving cats. We started a relationship at arms length when I brought her home from the shelter. She had been passed around before she landed there, and it took some time for her to know she found a permanent home. She’s taken a dramatic turn and it hurts deeply to see her in distress.
I can’t help but think of so many who must be carrying the pain of this Love… so many who don’t know where the next food and water will come from, those for whom safety, shelter a warm bed are an unknown commodity that lies only in the past and in the hope for a future. Those that have children who don’t understand why suddenly life took a turn.
We must share the burdens of our Common Suffering to find our way through. Compassionate Love is the Gift we give when we step into someone else’s shoes. IMIX brings the Love that Breaks our Heart to Inspire a new Commitment to Love.
Today is a day to accept the Love that a Mother has for her children – a love that looks beyond her own well-being, a love that isn’t satisfied by its own blessing, but is committed to a blessing for someone else. IMIX is a day sign of the East, the place where the Sun rises with life, light, and new inspiration.
To all my relations, may we except the duty of a Mother to Care and Raise up one another. May we hold in our prayers all those who are suffering. MAY WE EMANATE COMPASSIONATE LOVE TO MOTHER EARTH, that all those who walk upon her will receive the Blessing. May we pray for a Divine Intervention of Strength, Renewal, and Regeneration for all caretakers and emergency responders with so many to serve. May we pray that needed supplies arrive in time. May we pray for Peace beyond understanding. May we remember that what is really important in life isn’t trending on social media. May we establish a channel of Love that doesn’t rely on electricity, but is engaged through the Power of our Intention. May we accept both the Joy and Pain of Compassionate Love as a Blessing from the Creator. May we hold a Vigil for others, Imagining Peace and Salvation being shared by the Whole.
in lak’ech, I am another you

3 Crocodile/IMIX (Cherokee Turtle/ DAK’SI I’SB)
Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Crocodile/IMIX: Crocodile receives messages of primal creative force; simply the beginning of all things. Crocodiles who follow their hearts are seen as genius. There is no order to the primal messages, so Crocodile persons should direct their energies toward practical and cooperative efforts to bring productive results. Crocodiles have a strong nurturing energy and will work hard to provide security to family and friends. Being extremely territorial, Crocodiles must watch not to be over protective or too dominating. While in these states, Crocodiles are insecure, indecisive and emotionally volatile.
Cherokee Turtle/ DAK’SI I’SB: Turtle Island; direction East. The Turtle Constellation Orion, one of three stars in the Cosmic Egg. In Mayan is the Cosmic Hearth. Turtle is the Energy of Creative force at the one-on-one, personal level; dawn, awakening, birth. The beginning of each new era, this star in Orion appears with the rising Sun, heralding the creation of a new World cycle. Cherokee, IMIX- Totem-Dragon. The energy to understand all things sacred; creation energy, connection for visions, to learn the mysteries of the Universal Knowledge. The dragon carries the source energy of life, revered in ancient cultures for power and wisdom.
