MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
On the Peak Day of Tone 7 we complete a new climb of Spiritual Growth to reach the “top of the pyramid.” We are brought into Perfect Balance by Dog/OC, the Day Sign of Unconditional Love. Tone 7 holds the intention of Reflection to see “all that is, and all that is not.” Tone 7 creates the balance between Above and Below.
There are many ways to know the Truth by reflecting on the Principle of Correspondence… the balance of the Above and Below, from the micro to the macro, and from every plane of existence… the Physical Plane, Mental Plane, and Spiritual Plane. Tone 7 is the “balancing place.”
Dog/OC holds an Affinity with Monkey/CHUEN. Residing side-by-side at the Center of the Sacred Calendar of the Human, they reflect the Divine Characteristics of the Creator that were shared with Human. Dog/OC represents our capacity for Unconditional Love. Monkey/CHUEN reflects our Power to Create
10-DAY PORTAL: This is day 5 of our 10-day journey through a Spiritual Portal that thins the veil to other dimensions. The Portal raises our Consciousness to our Ethereal Nature. Our Spiritual Intentions will be balanced in all our other planes of existence. A portal on Tone 7 magnifies our ability to balance the Truth of who we are establishing Love as our primary Power.
We can’t hold Love in Spirit without creating Love in our material world. We can’t hold Love in the material world without manifesting Divine Love.
We’re on the home stretch to the K’iche Maya’s New Year that honors the calendar of the Human. Sometimes the last steps are the hardest.
I expect Dog/OC days to always be “Love and Light.” They are, though the experience can vary by extreme. I was all full of love when I was stabbed with an emotional daggar of shame and negativity.
I’m praying for a Miracle this Christmas. I knew the Wise thing to do was to present no defense at all. Though I felt the same emotions, I no longer felt the same lack of choice. Nothing of the world has to hold me back, when I’m good standing with the Creator. Love is always the Wise Decision. To do the Wise thing requires Forgiveness. We must Love our Self as well as others.
Tone 7 is a place of personal reckoning magnified by a portal. We might see what we have accomplished, and what we have not. By the Gift of Unconditional Love, every ending is a New Beginning.
Tomorrow is the anniversary of my first commitment of 260-days to this journal on 8 Monkey/CHUEN. It was a meaningful initiation. I’d always thought of myself as a Daykeeper, though it was the first time I made the commitment to every Kin. The first round was the hardest. There were days I woke at 3am in a panic that I would have nothing to share, spending hours to accomplish a few paragraphs. I remember 7 Dog/OC very well as the completion of my commitment. I was expecting it to be easy. It may have been my hardest day of all. With only one more day to go, I wondered if I could make it. It all changed on 8 Monkey/CHUEN, the Holy Day of Divine Justice.
We may be equally conscious of our lack of Love as well as our Abundance of Love. We will Balance the Spiritual Growth of a whole year by Choosing to focus on the Gratitude for our Abundance.
The Holidays can bring out the best and the worst in us. There are such high expectations placed on one another. This is a season to have Higher Expectations that rely on the Creator. Today, we can realize we are able to make a Choice to Love that wasn’t possible before.
To all my relations, may we be like the Dog who keeps looking for Love until it finds it. What we expect to receive is what we will find. Dog is said to be faithful even beyond death. May we be faithful to Love to the end. May we see that when our Spirit stands in the Truth of Love, the rest of the world will be drawn into balance. May we remember we are Unconditionally Loved, and keep believing in the Miracles.
in lak’ech, i am another you

21 DAYS of CEREMONY: Day 20
Observing 21 days of Personal Sacred Ceremony is a traditional preparation for the K’iche Maya New Year, 8 B’atz (8 Monkey/CHUEN). The New Year is a celebration of Time, and the day of Initiation for the new Mayan Daykeepers. We are preparing for an initiation into a new way of being. We can employ the Magic of the Jaguar by observing these 21 Days in Gratitude.
I’m grateful that our new climb is over. I’m grateful that I am Conscious of my own Power to Choose. I’m grateful that the Creator’s Heart is big enough to hold all the Love I need.
MAYA NEW YEAR PAGE: The New Year page offers a meditation for tomorrow’s New Year that Honors each of the Day Signs. In the tradition of the Maya, it includes the “Count of Days” that calls the names of each of the 260 Kins of the calendar. Included are chants used to Honor the 4 Directions of the Sacred Medicine Wheel path from the Native American tradition.

7 Dog/OC (Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI)
Galactic Tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of Divine Will. With a keen sense of ethics, Seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.
Dog/OC: Courageous, loyal and warm-hearted, very alert and valiant, people born of Dog are respected for their sense of justice and their protection. People born of the sun sign Dog are very sensual and know how to enjoy life. Playfulness and a good understanding of the basic human nature lead to prosperity for Dog. Dogs are good team players who love to travel and have a keen sense of their position in society. Dogs are ambitious and will take opportunities when they offer themselves, including infidelities. Dog persons share the nature of coyotes, spies, wolves and lawyers.
Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI: Wolf is symbolized by Sirius (Dog star) and Antares, one or the other always visible but never at the same time. Wolf is our brother, shares our very roots. Wolves are a connecting link between the worlds; ones who inspire loyalty, diplomacy and sense of humor with unlimited potential.
