2 Seed / KAN – Vision Quest: Day 2 of 13

The invitation and introduction is offered on the journal post for 1 Night/AKBAL. Suggestions for daily practice are offered on the Vision Quest Ceremony page.

2 Seed / KAN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 2 is the day of Duality. Human’s way of understanding is by comparison by degree of polarity. Hot and cold are the same thing to differing degrees. (At what degree does hot become cold?) Human lives in the two worlds of physicality and Spirit. As we are called to a Vision Quest, our Intention on Tone 2 is to choose the degree to which we will live in the realm of Spirit.

Tone 2 takes the Divine Inspiration of the Creator, and apply it to our Human experience. We are Creating an Altar to Spirit within. Seed/KAN is the symbol of the People – who we Are by design. Seed holds the Power of Creation.

KAN also represents the Force within the Seed, symbolized by “dragon energy” or Force of Life… like the geomagnetic forces of the ley lines across the Earth. The “dragon” is also a symbol of “seeing clearly.” We will find our inspiration for an altar deep within ourselves. We choose our way to create Our Expression of Beauty. Seed/KAN calls attention to ourselves. Tone 2 helps us discern the Seed of our Dream.

PORTAL DAY: ELEMENT OF ETHER (Kin 181, Green Kin on the Tzolk’in Calendar)

A portal is open that thins the veil to the dimension of Spirit. The Divine Justice that is the Highest Intention of the Creator, exchanges the Love of Correspondence. What is created in one realm of existence, is balanced in all the others. A Portal helps us see that the altar we build on Earth, also exists in the realm of Spirit. As our own Expression, unique to who we are, the altar that we are building is an illustration of who we are in Spirit. We are the Living Altar.

SEED/KAN: Seed of Creation, spark within the seed, seeing clearly, self identity

SOUTH: Relationships with others and the natural world; the direction of the South Pole that balances the North Pole as sources of Earth Wisdom and Spirit Wisdom.

ELEMENT OF EARTH: Grounding, symbol of Movement, Source of all Knowledge; Forces of Nature and elements of Earth in the Human; represented in the soil, rocks, and crystalline structures of matter.

YELLOW: The color of Completion. In the perpetual rotation of the 4 Directions, Yellow is the last of the 4 Colors… completing the rotation. Sun/AHAU (Yellow) Completes every uinal. What was conceived in Spirit transforms our relationships.

Tone 2 is a day for reflection on what our Dream will be, how it might look, what we might place there, what our personal plans may be for our own Vision Quest.

Seed/KAN asks us to look to our Divine Design for inspiration, to imagine our Highest Aspirations, and to look for the clarity of our own Spiritual Vision that guides what we want to do. As we form our own Intention of Movement, we are in the process of Co-Creation with the Divine. We are interacting in a Dance with the Creator.

Draw inspiration from the descriptions of the Tone and Day Sign below, as they were offered from Ian Lungold. We can remember and honor him for sharing the being among those who shared the Wisdom of the Maya with the world.

In the Dance Ceremony we are instructed to divert our eyes away from other Dancers. There is never any chatting or personal interaction during Sacred Ceremony. This is the Honorable way to approach any ceremony as taught by the Elders. In the dance, we were allowed only to speak to the support person assigned to the task of watching over us, if something was needed. (Allow others be of service, when you can.) It’s meant to be a personal experience, though one we share together. Even leaving after ceremony, the Elders counseled us from direct eye contact with others, and to wear a scarf or clothing that protected the heart. Others may be unknowingly drawn to the Light of your Spirit. This is a time to hold personal power for the Vision in every way we can. You might choose a head covering or a shawl, or a Spiritual Vision of one. Cover your body to hold your Spirit in. Exist in your own circle, the Egg/Seed of Creation.

Keep a journal. This is a Ceremony worthy of its own journal. Note small details of thought or experience that seem meaningful in the moment. You might go back months from now and find something made crystal clear from this detail.

Spirit Horse Ranch, New Year’s Eve Dawn [DawnWoman Blog]

We are dancing together with the women of the Medicine Circle that meets at Spirit Horse Ranch in Mounds, Oklahoma who have been gathering and met on 1 AKBAL to begin their own ritual time of Sacred Ceremony. We are connected to their circle in the Long House on the land where I danced. The Long House is a sound chamber that echos of drums, chants, and prayers. Here is the fire in the darkness, the candles, and the smells of sweetgrass and sage. We have a Fire of Akbal burning here on Earth that we are connected to and can turn to – we are all together with the Elders. You will find many meaningful shares by Minisa Crumbo Halsey’s, Dawn Woman Blog.

To all my relations, may we greet the Dawn with Love and Expectation. May we imagine all the Creator would have wanted us to be. May we partake of the SWEETNESS of Life and the Beauty we were born to Create. May we not forget the body, taking in what we have called Sacred to meet the needs of the vessel and the mind. May we call on the Spirits who reside in Harmony with the Highest Intentions of the Creator, and for the Highest Good of ALL, to watch over us. May we give them thanks for keeping the Sacred Fires burning through the Night. May we draw from the childlike innocence of Pure Spirit to Dream our Own Dream.   AHO!

in lak’ech, I am another you

I’m sharing a the “21-Days of Gratitude” as a perpetual Personal Ceremony through the next journey to 8 Monkey/CHUEN Maya New Year.  Today is the 21st day started on 11 Jaguar/IX. Today on 5 Jaguar/IX gifts us with an Empowerment of Gratitude.

Since Jaguar/IX is the Day Sign of Gratitude, it seems right and good to begin and end every 21 days on Jaguar/IX. So, today will be both Day 21 of one ceremony, and also Day 1 of the next.  (Our next 21-Days of Gratitude begins 5 Jaguar/IX (Kin 174) and ends on 12 Jaguar/IX (Kin 194), a day of Understanding the Magic of Gratitude.

21-Days of Gratitude: Day 11

I’m grateful for the Spiritual Wisdom of the Elders and the Beauty they Created and Preserved as our Inheritance.

2 Seed/KAN (Cherokee, Dragon/UKTE’NA)

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.

Seed/KAN: Family, sexual activity and the magic of germination are the characteristics of this sun sign. Natural net workers, Seed people strive to free themselves and others from debt or oppressive patterns of the past. Abundance is gathered by Seeds as if with a cast net. Seed persons are public defenders by discovering hidden traps and secret influences of others. To generate true abundance, Seed must learn to appreciate all gifts and lessons received and conduct profound investigations into its self. In the absence of gratefulness and the courage to face oneself, Seed finds itself in less and less fertile environments.

Cherokee, Dragon/UKTE’NA   O’STO: Dragon’s symbol is Draco winding beween the Little Dipper and Big Dipper. Dragon is the Corn Spirit, symbol of dual personality of Corn Mother and Maiden. Fertility and pro-creation from generation to generation. The word dragon means ” eye, to look at, to see clearly”. Spirit brings energy of Lawgiver, Justice, vigilance and protective, loyal unto death. Ley lines in China are “dragon lines”, energy is sometimes called “orgone energy”, pyramid power or magnetic force. Pyramids and kivas are collector portals for this energy, known as vortexes. Dragon energy beats a path everywhere, stirring things up with a big stick in tune with the beat of the drum, heartbeat of the Earth. Totem-Lizard. You enter carrying a heavy net of karmic debts, this energy helps you make amends to your self and others, dissolve debts, power of growth. The Lizard symbolizes wild sexual passions that you must balance.
