MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 5 offers the Empowerment for our Spiritual Climb. Number 5 represents the Intellect that serves as an organizing force to conceive an application of Spiritual Intention. The energy of 5 represents the center of the cube, that draws what is needed together looking to the core of every situation.
Monkey/CHUEN is gifted for the Intention of Tone 5. Monkey is a creation of Consciousness that loves to learn and explore from its deep sense of curiosity. Monkey’s affinity with Dog is a light-hearted approach. CHUEN loves life for the pleasure of having so many things to learn. Monkey shows us the power we hold when we replace expectations of the outcome with simple curiosity.
When we Believe in Love like the Dog, we know our final destination will be the Joy of Unconditional Love. When we Believe, we’ll use our Consciousness for more than survival. We’ll apply our Spiritual Gifts of Knowing to learn as much as we can. We’ll get “curiouser and curiouser,” as Lewis Carroll’s “Alice and Wonderland.” We will be amazed, seeing how one thing is transformed into another.
Monkey/CHUEN is the Creator known as the Weaver of Time. The glyph illustrates “time rolled up” on the head of the Monkey. As the Master of all Art, Monkey rearranges the threads of our experience into the tapestry of our life. Monkey sees the Beauty in the collection of our experiences. The Monkey is amazed by what it sees. Seeing the magic of transformation, the Monkey believes that anything is possible. Monkey is always excited to see what will happen, because it knows that whatever darkness appears will end in the Light.
CHUEN leads a journey through time. Human is a Time Traveler, the only creation that can recreate an experience from the past to change the future. This is a very Special Gift, indeed. Human is so amazed by the idea of Time Travel, we write stories and make movies about it, conceiving all the ways we could change our life, if we could just go back and do it over. Monkey shares the discovery that we CAN.
It’s our Human Nature to only believe in what we can see. We Time Travel unconsciously all the time. We don’t see it as anything special when we unconsciously use the Gift to go back and relive our sorrow. We travel into the Future, imagining the worst. I once decided the worst experiences of my life were events that never happened.
CHUEN connects our Intellect and Intuition. We can make sense of spiritual things. Monkey holds potential for mystical experiences. We are Empowered to use our Gifts for a Divine Purpose. When we are Conscious of our thoughts, we can transform our life into a thing of Beauty. Knowing the Truth, we can rearrange the threads of our experience. We can create Miracles when we use Time for a Divine Purpose.
The Raccoon is the Cherokee sign for CHUEN. The Raccoon is known as a friendly trickster that is capable to coax a smile with its mischief. The Raccoon loves shiny things and is known for its interest in collecting them. Raccoon makes its greatest discoveries digging through the trash. The Raccoon must wonder why we throw such beautiful things away. Washed up, they look as shiny as new.
The Raccoon would remind us, “What’s the point of these Miracles, if you don’t have any Darkness to start with?” In our own Trash lies the darkness that is waiting to be transformed by a Miracle of Love.
It seems like it has taken me a long time to Know in the Magic of Consciousness. From the beginning, I believed in the Magic the Elders knew. The question was, “What’s the meaning of all the stories? Why can’t they just give the answers and tell me what to do?
The Elders Know the magic lies in the discovery. Thinking Consciously for ourselves, we discover our own genius. We can uncover amazing things about our Self that no one else could ever tell us. Our minds are an archeological treasure, indexed by chronological experience. People and situations I once characterized by a bad experience have been transformed into something completely different. Where the darkness still remains, it’s not the end of the story.
To all my relations, may we Believe our Story will have a happy ending. May we use the Gifts we are Given, just to see what we can Know and Accomplish. May we be Time Travelers with a Divine Mission to Heal all wounds of the past so we will Create Love in our Future. May we believe in our own Magic of Unconditional Love. May we be a comfort to others by believing their story will end in Love. May we find the humor in our Human dilemma. We can’t see our Blessings when our eyes are closed. May our eyes be open for a Miracle.

5 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI)
Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.
Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.
Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy; magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart. Totem Monkey: The energy of humor, the artisan and craftsmen of the Universal energy. Helps us to lighten up in all situations, was the glyph of the 4th world creation in conjunction with OC so that we would have humor in all of our endeavors. The humor, when added to a serious situation will allow you to have a less destructive pattern of resolution. This is the “Cosmic joke” energy to help us transcend the duality. A life path of comedian, actor, artist, artisan writer, satirist, any path is enhanced with this humor in conjunction with the creative energies.
