2 Deer / MANIK – The Birth of a Savior: Day 2 of 13

2 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

Tone 2 of Duality presents us with choices for the consideration of a new Intention. On Tone 2 we see ourselves separate from the whole. We consider our own way of navigating CIMI’s trecena of change.

As a Sprout, we rooted our Faith in Spirit. Now, we’re rooting our Light in the world.

Deer/MANIK is a Day Sign of the West. We are entering the direction of an Unknown experience. Holding the Element of Water, MANIK can touch our emotions and our fears of the Dark.

MANIK is the giver of Spiritual Tools. As the priest and shaman, MANIK leads the people in the ways of Ritual and Sacred Ceremony. The Deer is a symbol of our Spiritual Authority. Taking on the role of the Deer requires an Intention of Integrity.

The Spirituality of the Maya was a self-directed path. The role of the priest was to observe the rituals and ceremonies for the people. They provided healing, and maintained peace and harmony by leading a shared experience. The priest sacrificed itself in service to the Whole.

The glyph illustrates a Hand (another name for MANIK), grasping a current of Ether that completes the circuit to a Divine Source of Power. The circle on the hand illustrates an eye, emphasizing MANIK’s most-used Spiritual Tool of Vigilant Observation.

MANIK is said to uphold the pillars of the 4 directions in the realm of Spirit. Through Sacred Ceremony, Deer upholds the Channel of Communion between the Above and the Below.

Deer/MANIK extends the Power of Harmonic Resonance. Deer doesn’t defend a position, but silently stands in its own Truth. Deer Acknowledges the Sole Authority of a Divine Consciousness. MANIK communicates its Truth through vibration and movement. To uphold its Truth, Deer employs the Spiritual Tool of Vigilant Consciousness.

Both Tone 2 and MANIK can raise our feelings of limitation to the surface. MANIK can heal our fears by offering the Spiritual Gift needed to overcome every limitation. We will maintain our foundation through the courage to look within. Our limits are the places where Miracles are Seen.

Deer/MANIK calls us to rely on Divine Guidance. Through the humility of a surrender, we allow the Creator to guide us toward an Intention of Divine Priority, versus a plan conceived by the fear of our ego.

To all my relations, may we vigilantly uphold the pillars of our altar. May we stand silently as we wait for Divine Guidance, so that all our movements would be made with Intention. May we live our lives as a Sacred Ceremony, Conscious of the Gift of our Lives. May we stand in the Truth of what we believe as a personal demonstration. May we stand in the Integrity of our Highest Love. May we be the healing hand and the one who sacrifices our own interest on behalf of the Whole. May we have Faith that we will know when and where to Move, by holding Vigilant Consciousness of our Communion with the Creator.

in lak’ech, i am another you

2 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
