MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

Greetings Kin,

The Earth/CABAN trecena is leading us to the Global Burner, 4 Sun/AHAU. There is a Global Burner for each Season. This one is special, marking the Day that Human Consciousness was born on Earth. Number 4 holds the Intention of Stability. All the Global Burners fall on Tone 4. Through the release, we stabilize the TRUTH that was intended by the Season.

Days leading up to a Global Burner compare to the contractions of Birth. Occurring at the Center kin of each Season, like every other cycle we climb, the half-way point is always a new Birth of Consciousness to the Purpose of the Season. We Release newfound Consciousness into the world around us. We are balanced by the EXPRESSION of Love that is being born.

We can expect to feel like we’re in the contractions of labor as we lead up to this 4 Sun/AHAU. LIKE the contractions of birth, the movements are out of our hands. Allow things to be out-of-hand. The Maya prepared for these days by Counting their Blessings, so they could Remember the Blessing that was on the way. On Global Burners, the Mayan priest builds the Sacred Fires that would draw the whole together. We are intended to be drawn together – as we Really Are. We will see How Important Humans were intended to be and the Light we were intended to bring – our Own.

On Tone 2, the Earth/CABAN trecena delivers the Truth we need to Know Now. Tone 2 holds the Intention of Duality and the Discernment of a Divine Choice for Being. Through a Gift of Duality, Human is capable to comprehend through a provision of comparison. We can always know one thing by looking at another. Mother Earth gave us everything to See and Explore – to see what is Beautiful, and what is not.

Flint/ETZNAB symbolizes the Flint Knife that cuts to the Heart. ETZNAB is also known as the Mirror, like the Obsidian Mirror that ALWAYS returns a reflection of the Truth. Both Flint and Obsidian are symbols of Fire and Transmutation. Flint strikes a spark of Fire. Obsidian is stone that is forged by Fire.

Flint is a Sword of Divine Truth… the Creator’s Truth. Flint reveals Truth that has been hidden or covered up. Our first impression may be that we’ll finally know the Truth of the secrets that others have withheld from us. In a cycle that intends to Bring Life to our New Identity of Spirit, this time the most important Truth lies hidden in our own Heart.

The Flint Knife will remove the Flesh from our bone. The purpose is to “sweep away” the illusions of the Ego, so we can Be the Hollow Bone – the open channel through which the Light of the Altar will fall on Us. The channel for birth will be opened for a Divine Delivery.

Flint lies in the North, the place of the Collective Wisdom of the Whole. Holding the Element of Air, the Truth we learn will be spoken as the Breath of Life and Spirit. Leading up to a birth is an important time TO BREATH. Through our very first Breath we claimed the Right to Be. Breath offered Human the very Life for Movement under the Authority of the One who Spoke the first words of Creation. Flint/ETZNAB intends to Raise our Thoughts and Change our Minds.

ETZNAB is said to deliver its Truth along the path of a Lightning Strike. The glyph illustrates the pyramid. The pyramid is a Symbol of the Calendars and the steps to Consciousness. The Light that follows our Path is an Offering from the Above to the Below. Through Consciousness, Human would choose to Be the Deliverer and a New Mother to Humanity.

ETZNAB is a day said to present us with a Temptation to act “out of character.” It’s hard to predict. This “out-of-character” behavior is our Own Truth that we’ve covered up. ETZNAB is a day when our darkness and fear can be drawn to Light through an opening of the Heart. “Out of Character”  is actually the truth we believe and were afraid for anyone else to see it. It’s what we REALLY THINK. It will feel like something we REALLY THINK, that we may not have even seen our Self. This is an important day for the Deer’s Vigilant Consciousness. ETZNAB offers a Gift of Telepathy. We can Know our own Truth. We can know we know others’ Truth too.

ETZNAB’s Power of Telepathy is the Mirror. If you know someone born ETZNAB, chances are you Know they always Know the Truth. When you speak face-to-face with an ETZNAB, the REAL Truth will be written on their face. Words won’t be necessary. You know ETZNAB in yourself. We ALL have the Telepathy of Truth. Telepathy is one of the first gifts we may notice. When people come to you. Do you read more into the conversation than what’s being said? Have you ever noticed? When someone presents a false truth to you, isn’t your own mind working through the Signs and Symbols that don’t match what you are hearing? Aren’t you exploring WHY they say what they say? It’s natural for Human to look beyond the meaning of the words to the thought symbols they came from. Once you See and Acknowledge it, you will carry this tool with you and Believe in it. It will grow if it’s used to fulfill its Divine Meaning and Purpose – to help Us Know our Own Truth.

When someone doesn’t see us as we think we are, they’ve taken journeys about us, without us. Once we see the Truth that they have gone on this journey, we will realize the only reason it hurt was because we started drifting along with them too. There is Power in Knowing your Own Journey. That is your Truth. We have the Sacred Right of Choice.

Flint’s greatest purpose is for us to KNOW our own Truth and exactly what it feels like. Truth hits us in the Heart. When we Hear TRUTH, we know it without any questions. We don’t need any further evidence when we realize it was the Truth we KNEW all along. Something Opened the Way for us to SEE what was hidden behind all our own words and movement – the Truth that was operating in us. The Purpose of this cycle is to BEAR our Truth to Light. You can always know one thing from another. In fact, sometimes it’s easier to see in the Mirror reflection. If something is a confusion, it’s not the Whole Truth.

Today we are led by ETZNAB to discern a new Intention to Know and Walk our Truth. On Tone 2 we consider how we could do it. We will look at one thing and another to learn the Truth about our Self. Knowing the Truth in us will be the most important Light our children will see. The only reason we ever hold a resentment for our parents is when they say one thing, then did another. We really did expect our parents to be Divine. They were just as Divine as we are. Look in the Mirror. We’re not perfect either. We’ll find that Human didn’t have to be perfect to be Divine. We Create our Divinity, when we Forgive.

The Aztec description of this trecena as “eating darkness away.” I have been remembering old experiences, darkness I’ve overcome as a symptom of Happiness and Love. Once, I was ashamed to receive a Christmas card, because I didn’t send one first. I think the Monkey/CHUEN and the Cherokee Raccoon are playing a few tricks to help us keep a sense of Humor. The Badger Mother would tell us to take our time. The important things will come to us when we’re ready. Loose threads of darkness WILL be Drawn to Light.

When we finally discover enough of this Truth, we’ll HAVE a sense of humor. We’ll realize we were Hopeless WITHOUT Unconditional Love. It’s the Air we Breathe. A Divine Salvation was the ONLY way.

Whatever ETZNAB brings will be unexpected. It could be “hard truth” if we’re not open to see it. It will cut like a knife. It will also be a Very Divine Truth. Flint delivers a “stroke of genius.” On Flint we can see the Reflection of what we were “meant to be.” We’ll see it by what is, and what is not.

My best understanding of Flint/ETZNAB was a journey by my cat, Shadow. She was a rescue. I’d just lost two cats within a few months of each other. They were both 17 and had grown up together. They taught me to be a better Mother to Shadow. I thought when they neared the end of their life expectancy that the withering away was inevitable. I did everything I could to make them comfortable, but through Shadow I see how far I fell short. Love always teaches us something.

When I went to the shelter she was in the first cage, and had been there 3 times longer than any of the other 20-30 cats. NO ONE wanted her. Her profile said she had “litter box issues” – the reason she was let go. She also had a heart murmur and was 12 years old. She’d been passed off before, brought back, and now given away. I expected another cat had taken her place. I had to take her, though she was ALL THINGS that were NOT on my list. I was Divinely drawn to take her.

She is perfect. I never saw a cat so happy to receive a gift. “Shadow” was chosen as a name without any foresight. With her mottled fur, it’s hard to see her face I knew she was happy to be here, but the first months she sat across the room and just stared at me. I knew what she was thinking. “How long will I be here?”

On Flint/ETZNAB she had a problem with her fur on the hind end. She did her business on the floor right in front of me. Then she took off like lightning to hide under the bed. I saw the symbol she had associated with going outside the litter box. Abandonment. Maybe worse. Shadows Truth was “this is it.” Everything changed when I went to her with Love.

It was the Beginning of Trust and Love between us. Her greatest fear was swept away. Now she would finally come close enough to receive my Love. In the morning she performs her stretch rolling around on her back, I see her Joy to Be HERE. I KNOW that MY LOVE is a Provision for Shadow’s Divine Justice.

We’ve ALL waited a long time. I believe in the Love that God has waiting for us to See and Acknowledge. If there is a Provision for Shadow, there is a Provision for all of us. Flint/ETZNAB intends to open our eyes to it, so we will know the REAL Truth that we would never be abandoned.

Finding the darkness that lies within, we’ll find all the reasons we thought we didn’t deserve Love. A Sword of Truth will Open us for Giving AND Receiving.

To all my relations, may we give thanks that there was a Time and Place created for such a Divine Purpose. May we Allow our Self a Provision for our limitations. If God can see beyond them in us, so should we. Our Spirit’s Nature is as Divine as Mother Nature.

May we have the Courage to face our Self. We must see some darkness to See the Light we are becoming.  May we claim God as our Rock and the Fortress of Love. Rocks forged in Fire and Rocks that Strike the Spark symbolize the Strength of our Deliverer. Our NEW Expression of Love will be honed by the Truth. Tomorrow at the Full Moon we will Express our Love in a Symbolic and Divine Way, offering Human love into the Living Waters of Love, and Offering Flowers to Express our Love for the New Consciousness that WILL BE.in lak’ech, i am another you

2 Flint/ETZNAB (Cherokee: Flint Dawi’sgala)

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.

Flint/ETZNAB: Mirror of reality. As a struck flint, these persons are the divine sparks of intelligence. Flint’s innate abilities are utilized to discriminate emotions from fact. Flint persons stand tireless to protect, defend, or cure others by personal sacrifice. By courageously wielding the sword of truth, falsehoods are cut away. Flints, it was said, can receive information on inter-personal troubles or evil plots of others by reflecting in an obsidian mirror. Their valiant service as warriors of the truth must be impeccable or they will experience sufferings of accidents, misunderstandings and gossip.

Cherokee, Flint/DAWI’SGALA: Opener of the Way, a creator, innovator, stretches the mind to outside limits of capabilities. Changes the static to the dynamic.  Brings about change, often through separation and destruction.  Beams the Stellar Ray of Truth to Earth as a crystal sword cast down along the path of a lightning flash. The transformer brings things to a head and wipes the slate clean.
