MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Peak Tone 6 holds the Force of Flow and Momentum created by a Rhythm and Pattern of Movement. Compared to the performance of a great athlete. All the practiced steps become a Movement of Second Nature. Momentum will carry us to complete a climb of Intention.
Dynamic developments are possible as we enter the Peak Flow. The effort of Consciousness we apply to LET GO, will carry us farther, faster.
Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan priest, the symbol of Human’s Mission. MANIK holds all the Spiritual Tools, including a tool to overcome EVERY Human limitation.
The Deer upholds the Pillars of the realm of Spirit, standing in the Integrity of TRUTH. The Deer is Moved by the TRUTH of Divine Discernment. The glyph illustrates a Hand, another name for MANIK. A thread of Ether is grasped between the forefinger and thumb, symbols of Direction and Will.
Through the Intention of Divine Communion, MANIK completes a connection to a circuit of Divine Power. The circle on the Hand symbolizes the Deer’s Vigilant Consciousness. The Deer’s fundamental tool of survival is watchfulness.
Deer symbolizes our Divine Mission as a vigilant personal effort to Be Present IN the Light. In every herd, there will be One that leads, one that watches in all 4 directions. The others only need to be near the One to be Moved when the One Moves. MANIK holds the Power of Harmonic Resonance, a Power of Attraction that draws lower frequencies into harmony.
Deer’s has the strength to stand its Higher Ground without defense or opposition. Deer accepts the Truth of “what is” as a vigilant observer. The Deer offers strength to push away negative thoughts and feelings. In our Highest Integrity we can Love Every Experience, for the Light that is Promised to Overcome it. Miracles are always “human impossibilities.” There is no limit to the “impossibilities” that can be overcome by Miracles.
Deer stands in the West, to guide our journey into the Unknown. Deer stands on its Own Truth. It doesn’t have to force others to follow. The Deer engages all our Tools of Spirit. They were given for NOW.
The Consciousness of ALL the Day Signs is Alive in our Consciousness, when we turn to the thoughts that are shared by the Masters of Divine Wisdom and the Divine Spirit of the Heavenly Realm. With each variable of Divine Truth of Love, we are drawn higher and higher toward our Strength to Stand. On Tone 6, we are offered the Consciousness of Seeing the Power of our Gifts operating in the Peak Level of Performance. We can stand on MORE than words of Wisdom passed down. We can count on DIVINE WORDS that held Intentions of Love, to LIVE and OPERATE within us. TRUTH was planted in us at our beginning.
A Truth that will always be claimed as mine is a testimony – “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” My “miracle of Truth” is that its Light ALWAYS Prevails. Once we see it, we can’t unsee it. Truth of Divine Love can Live and Change our Unconscious thoughts. It can change what we see by changing what we look for and expect to see.
Spiritual Tools were given as our lifeline to Spirit. Days in the beginning when everything seemed “wrong” and I was filled with stress, something would always call me to the altar. I remember thinking I didn’t have the spare time, though I would surrender myself for 5 minutes to light a candle, burn some sage and sweetgrass, and offer a prayer. It was always the best 10 minutes, because once I was there, I felt the Love that was waiting. Just smelling the smoke of my prayers, allowed me to put down a burden and move on, letting things BE under the direction of a Divine Creator of Unconditional Love.
This trecena is about APPLYing our Spiritual Tools of Divine Wisdom, believing in the Creator’s Dream and the Power of the Creator’s Love. The WHOLE POINT is going with the Flow of Divine Will – watching to see how it happens in every moment. That’s what we will see if that is what we are looking for. We’re given the Strength of the Deer to stand our ground.
The Mayan priest, like the Deer, serves as a living demonstration. The priest observes all the sacred rituals and ceremonies as they are defined by the calendars. It doesn’t force anyone to attend. It builds the fire and kneels at an altar. Offered a demonstration, others Remember and Follow.
To operating in our Peak Performance, we are challenged to the effort of Vigilant Consciousness. We are called to employ every tool that works for us. We have the Sacred Breath, the Fire and Smoke from our candles and prayers. We have the Power of a Force of Divine Justice, guiding every step. We will know what to do if we only apply the Vigilant Consciousness to keep turning to the Light and keep turning to an altar on our knees. We will manifest whatever we CLAIM for the Whole, when the Intention is an Aspiration of Love and Forgiveness. We hold the Power to Love and Forgive. No human limitation of darkness can’t be overcome by the Divine Light of the Creator’s Will.
Deer can connect us to the Strength of our Heart. The Deer leads our thoughts on journeys of Love with the strength to turn away from the paths of darkness. The Elders taught us to bring an Offering to the altar that reflected the value of the Gift we expected to receive. Our Vigilant Consciousness to a Divine Communion of Love, can ONLY add Light to our Spirit.
One of the Spiritual Tools I’ve kept for a very long time is to put God in front of me in every challenge. When I had to ask for help, when my words were important, I asked for God to speak on my behalf. I asked that whatever words were spoken, God would stand in the middle and translate what was heard on the other side. More than one Miracle came from this during the desperate challenges of single-motherhood. Another, when I felt like I was only praying to the ceiling, I got down on my knees – believing, Knowing, a Divine Creator WOULD see me there. We ARE Seen at a Divine Altar. Both the Gratitude and the Heartache we share there, receives the Sacred Exchange of Love that far outshines the darkness of every worldly illusion.
We can focus on the Future and the Day of Justice (8 Offering/MULUC) when we will Know the Light of a Sacred Exchange of Zenith Light… the Divine Justice for offering our Consciousness as a living vessel for the Creator’s Dreams.
To all my relations, may we Divinely Let Go with an Intention of Faith and Believing. May we proclaim the JOY of letting go. May we see the Light in the future as we face the darkness. Believing in Light that overcomes darkness, may whatever darkness we see, remind us only of a Light Bright enough to overcome all of it.
May nothing that happens in the world below veer us away from a path WE CAN SEE SO CLEARLY. There’s no reason for us to bear the darkness, but only engage the Joy of the Miracle waiting in the future. The ones we didn’t even see coming, are always the best. God intends the very best for Divine Human Beings.
May we know that the short path that leads to an altar within, holds the Dynamic Power of a Human Leap of Faith. May we give thanks for the Gifts to Uphold Wisdom in our Consciousness. May we Grasp the Ether of Spirit that connects a circuit of Divine Power.
We are Light, Only Light, Eternal Light. When we see something “impossible” may our first thought be “Miracle.” May we go straight to the altar to give thanks for it. May our Leap of Faith hold the FULL POWER of Believing – as our Highest Offering to share.

A SPIRITUAL TOOL: This was an inspired tool recorded from the last round that wanted to be shared again. It is Good to ask others how THEY do things when you seek advice. We create expectations when we ask, “How should I?” We Honor Wisdom we can USE for our OWN discernment. Words are important. It’s easier to stand in the integrity of Truth when the Intention is just to listen. (Don’t ask the waiter for a recommendation, unless you really want to try it.)

6 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)
Galactic Tone 6: Six is responsiveness and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.
Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.
Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions. Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer: A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician. Ability to create harmonic resonance.
