10 Monkey / CHUEN – A New Mission of Spirit: Day 10 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

10 Monkey / CHUEN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 10 holds the Intention of Manifestation. “What is focused on with attention and intention becomes Real with 10.” Manifestation is the Blessing that comes with a great responsibility. We have to Claim it is True.

The Wind/IK trecena intended to turn our Consciousness to the first Dream, the Creator’s Dream of Creation.  All the Dreams that ever were, are held in the Air. The Creator intended for Human to complete the Dream below by our own Power to Claim what we have discerned is Divinely True.

Monkey/CHUEN resides in affinity with Dog/OC at the Center of the Tzolk’in in positions 10 and 11. Dog/OC, position 10, reflects the symbol of Manifestation guided by the Wisdom of Love. The symbol 10 reflects a “One Above” that holds all the Power of Authority, when Consciousness Below is Wholly sacrificed as our Offering to the “One Above.”

Tone 10 is said to present a challenge for us to Claim the Truth. Our own contradictions of Truth will present the Reason to look beyond our first impressions.

Residing in the West, the Monkey lies in the direction of the Unknown. Residing near the Dog, Monkey Believes in the Power of Love to Create its own Beauty. Monkey faces the Unknown with eager curiosity. Human contradictions only make it more interesting to the Monkey.

Mystical experiences are possible with Monkey/CHUEN. CHUEN connects our Intellect and Imagination so we can Consciously Dream of all the Love that could be. CHUEN celebrates its own Power of Consciousness.

We manifest “A Dog’s Life” when we claim that Love was always meant to be. When we believe everything that is, “is” for a Divine Reason of Love, then Love will be the first thing we will expect to see. All the misery we project onto our life’s experience comes from failures in the past.

The past is never an accurate measure for the future. In fact, with Consciousness, just the opposite becomes True. We are changed by every Day of our Life. The Monkey is a demonstration of the Divine Creator within the Human mind. We are born Creators. We aren’t trying to learn to Create. WE ARE CREATING ALL THE TIME.

We created the perfect Mother, drawn together in our imagination. We manifested her in the darkness of injustice. Everything our Human mother did that we didn’t think was fair, added another Divine feature.  The Divine Mother we imagined would have done everything the perfect way. We are always creating our Perfect World, our Perfect relationships, and our own Perfect Identity. We also create a God of our own Creation. Every harvest cycle of the Tzolk’in raises our Consciousness to a Higher Discernment of what an Unconditionally Loving Creator could be – the Truth we hold in Faith and Hope can be raised to Believing.

Monkey/CHUEN is the Master Artist known as the Weaver of Time. The glyph illustrates all time rolled up on the monkey’s head. CHUEN weaves the threads of Time and Experience into the Masterpiece of our Life, using ALL the colors of dark and light. CHUEN reminds us of our “magical powers” to Time Travel to anyplace in Time. Consider how magical it is that we can go back months and years to experience life again. Human holds the Power to change the Past.

When you go back to memories of the past, do you look all around? Or do you just replay details you focused the first time? Before I held any wisdom of consciousness, I only went back to see the same details again and again. Monkey has the curiosity to look at all the other stuff while it’s there. When I followed Monkey’s guidance, I saw many things I’d never looked at before. I’d defined my whole childhood experience by isolated incidents and contradictions of Love. I could see that they were the exceptions and NOT the rule.

With the smallest light of illumination, I realized the TIME of injustice out of the Whole experience had to be less than 1% of ALL Time. Claiming ONE new variable of Truth about Time, changed my entire discernment of the Whole. It didn’t make the injustice hurt any less, but it gave me the perspective of the Big Picture. The suffering that seemed to never end, that went on and on was MY CHOICE to go back for no other reason than to feel the Truth of Pain that wasn’t fair.

I don’t know an elder, a counselor, or a spiritual intermediary who wouldn’t share the Truth that to manifest happiness in the future, we have to resolve our issues in the past.  I thought that meant I should go back to the same thing over and over until it didn’t hurt anymore. I would try to think my way through the memories as they returned. Maybe I was supposed to throw up a little at a time. Only every set-back was a return to “Go.” No one said to go back and look at anything else.(So, it’s their fault I had to wait 65 years to figure it out. LOL A Divine counselor would have known to mention that.)

OR, was it my own Divine Justice to KNOW I COULD figure things out as good as anyone else? It didn’t take long to learn. It only took a moment, once knew the right Reason to go back. I would Love to credit that to a Divine Creator.

CHUEN is a Master of all Art. An “artist’s eye” looks for the hidden Beauty in a work of art. A trained eye knows where all the light and shadows should be, proportions and placements. Most of us are inclined to decide what’s a masterpiece by what we think is pretty. Monkey has an Eye for Beauty that can change our Understanding and Perception about the Meaning of everything.

Broadway Boogie Woogie by Piet Mondrian (Wikipedia)

A French teacher in high school intended to teach us more than the language. She shared wisdom about French customs, songs, and the work of French artists. I still remember her teaching us about “Broadway Boogie Woogie” a painting by French artist Piet Mondrian. I had to look up the artist, but “boogie woogie” was easy to remember, attached to a vague memory of this checkerboard. Maybe I remember it so well because my class unanimously agreed it wasn’t a very good “masterpiece.”

Mrs. Butterworth expressed her offense at our assessment, though I wonder if she planned it that way. She went on to enlightened us. The painting illustrates the actual counts, the rhythms, and the syncopated beats of boogie woogie music. The placement of all the lines and squares are somehow a visual illustration of sounds. I still wouldn’t hang it in my living room, though we were given a Reason to look again for a different Meaning and Purpose. (Mrs. Butterworth wore her blonde hair swept up in the classic French roll into a curl. She gets extra credit for her heartfelt solo of “La Vie en Rose.”)

Everything we experience is painted over by truth from the past. We expect the same things to happen again. To change the future, we have to change what we remember by the details all around.

Raccoon is the one that finds the treasures we threw in the trash. The Raccoon knows they can shine like new when they’re washed up and we can see what lies under the surface. Raccoon and Monkey/CHUEN can trick us into seeing what we didn’t see before. They poke fun so we’ll remember.

Monkey can share Unconventional Wisdom. Monkey creates its own “rules of play.” The Monkey is known to hardly finish anything. Finishing isn’t as important to the Monkey as inspecting the most beautiful thing it sees. Nothing stops the Monkey from jumping over to something new. (It’s a worldly “rule” that says we have to finish everything we start.) Monkey LOVES what it can learn. Monkey claims  the REAL success of Every Creation is the education.

Monkey is the Alchemist and Creator of our Life Experience – one capable to turn the dross into Gold. It really is quite curious how much Love we can find buried all around us. The Elders taught us to bury crystals, rocks and shrines to plant our Intentions in Mother Earth. I remember when I was sent on such an assignment. Though it was planted “in the middle of nowhere” it was exactly 200 miles due West from a Sacred Site. 4 shines were buried that day, one in each direction, each the same distance as the crow flies from the Center of a Sacred Site. The Elders said we were marking the site on the Spiritual Grid.

Art is a Ceremony of Creation that engages the Communion of Spirit. Everything comes straight from our imagination. Art is manifested by one Divine thought after another. It’s finished when we run out of next ideas. If you have created anything, you know the best results depend on knowing when to stop. When we aren’t sure what to add next, but go ahead and add something anyway… that’s usually when we screw up. Our last “human addition” is the piece that doesn’t fit, the color that seems out of place, or the “too much” salt we added at the end for no good reason.

We are Born Creators, creating Beauty ALL THE TIME. We just aren’t conscious of what we are creating. We don’t realize the Dream in our Imagination is Real in the realm of Spirit. All the Love we Create is Beauty we imagined in the darkness. Our own Darkness holds the Light we were meant to Create.

The Elders say, that what we Heal in our Self, is a Divine Service for the Whole. Those who grew up without a Loving Family were born to Create Divine Families. Those who grew up with little, were born to Create the Divine Justice of Abundance. We were all given the same Mission to turn our darkness into Light. We are Sacred to the Creator for Bearing the Time. We are always creating in Spirit what we Believe was Divinely Meant To Be.

The 10th Tone in the 12th uinal is the final manifestation under a Divine Intention of Understanding. Monkey is the Creator of Life, Love, and Lifetime experiences of Beauty.  For all the darkness and sorrow we share with a Divine Creator, we illustrate a Human Dream for something better.  The Creator intends to complete the Beauty that was beyond our own imagination.

The Power of the Wind trecena Promises to change our Reasoning of Love. Just think how Magic our Lives really are, that One Thought can change the Truth of EVERYTHING from the beginning to the end.

To all my relations, may we See and Acknowledge the Magic of our Conscious thoughts to change everything we Believe is True.  May we apply our Common Sense to Claim that the journey that seems to have no end of suffering, could all be turned into Miracles by a single thought. Our Lives can be change in every moment of every Day. There’s proof we can claim, if we look for it.

May we see how every day we are also Creating our own Divine Creator. What we Choose to Believe about God is what we share as our Offering of Divine Truth. We think we’re experts at knowing what we humanly deserve. May we be humbled to ask for Forgiveness that we have to think so hard to see the Creator’s Light. In the Zenith Light of Wind/IK’s Truth may we claim a Truth of Light so far above human understanding that the only way to come close to a Divine Offering that is Fair is to ALWAYS Be Creating Love to Pay Back and Pay Forward.

May we claim our own Truth about the Divine Justice we deserve, then claim the Justice due to a Divine Creator. May we claim the Creator’s dreams are too beautiful for human to even imagine for our Self. May we remember there was a Divine Provision created for every human limitation. May we Claim the Truth that a Divine Creator already intended to Claim for Us, everything that was too High for us to Imagine.

10 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/ KVH’LI)

Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.

Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.

Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy; magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart. Totem Monkey: The energy of humor, the artisan and craftsmen of the Universal energy. Helps us to lighten up in all situations, was the glyph of the 4th world creation in conjunction with OC so that we would have humor in all of our endeavors. The humor, when added to a serious situation will allow you to have a less destructive pattern of resolution. This is the “Cosmic joke” energy to help us transcend the duality. A life path of comedian, actor, artist, artisan writer, satirist, any path is enhanced with this humor in conjunction with the creative energies.

    • FYI – The SHRINES we buried included a special rock we were given to take. The place it was buried was blessed with water, an offering of cornmeal and tobacco, and our prayers. Then it was covered up as buried. I thought I should complete the answer with what a “shrine” can be. I first thought it meant an altar, which it could be too. love, Debra

  2. Thanks for clarifying. I had wondered if you meant shrines but still couldn’t figure out why they would be buried. Raised a Catholic, shrines were above ground and visible and even in other spiritual traditions, I never heard of burying shrines as a ritual act. I would think the only reason they would be buried was because of some dominizer religion coming in to wipe away the “pagans” and “erect” shrines and statues to their own gods. It might be good if you clarify in another post.

As for Mercury Retrograde, we can look forward to it coming to an end! I am usually not so influenced or affected by it, but this one was a doozy! Just re-member, it’s a time for anything beginning with re-: repeat, review, relish, renew, reflect, regroup, reassess….etc.

  3. Well, that’s appropriate. It is a black moon you know, today. 2nd new moon in the month. The skies are extra dark this month. You’re in good company. 🌚 ✨ Just look up a let the star beings shine the light in the darkness. And yay! Mercury is going direct!!
