THE TRECENA OF MONKEY/CHUEN
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 5 are the Inherent thoughts that hold the Intention of Empowerment. Associated with the center of the cube, Tone 5 is a central organizing Force that manages resources for application.
It’s an Inherently Human gift to take stock of our tools and assemble them for an intended purpose. It’s Divine Common Sense that empowers Believing that we have everything we need to manifest our creation.
God reflected a Divine Purpose for everything from the micro to the macro. Thoughts are Divine Tools in the realm of Consciousness. Monkey Consciously employs its Intellect and Imagination to manifest the Beauty of Love.
Eagle/MEN is an Intermediary that shares its Gift of long-range Vision, designed perfectly in balance with its reach. An Eagle knows that everything it sees lies within its grasp.
The Eagle employs the Truth to navigate by Intuition. The Eagle sees what it wants in the future, focusing on the moment when its talons grasp the prize. With vigilant focus, it takes off and Leans into the Wind.
Eagle/MEN resides in the West, the direction of our Unknown Future. We CAN see the future. We know what we create today will manifest the material truth of tomorrow. The Eagle gives us the vision to see farther. Knowing he steps and the means isn’t as important as Seeing the destination.
Leaning into the Wind means going with the experience of Love offered in the moment. Leaning into the Wind means believing that every step of the way is directed toward a Divine Ending. If we don’t know our direction, the “next thing” is God’s way. God has a provision for our Dream of Happiness, only multiplied to abundance.
The Eagle’s only shadow is a choice to fly away. An Eagle won’t compete for a prize. It would rather give up and accept what is free and close at hand. The Light that dispels Eagle’s shadow is that our Dreams are already “signed by our heart.” God is the final Authority of Creation. The Dreams intended as our own possibilities are ours to have and to hold. We are lost in an illusion when we fear ANY obstacles to our Dream.
Eagle lifts us up for a heavenly view so we can see for our Self the direct path from Point A to Point B. Our thoughts Above hold Faith in the Unseen Promise. We are never “too late” or “too early.” No one else can duplicate our Dream. Two artists can be inspired by the same source and conceive a different masterpiece.
Eagle/MEN is the Day Sign of High Hopes and High Aspirations. To look into the future we can see how far we come from the past. The Elders advised us to look across the Medicine Wheel near the turning of the seasons. What were you dreaming 6 months ago? What were the dreams you carried into the last harvest? We have entered the season of budding that will manifest the fruit of our Spirit.
To all my relations, may we claim the Truth of Divine Intermediaries. May we reach beyond our limits and lean in to God’s Way and God’s Time. May we Feel the Truth that a Divine Cause WILL have a Divine Effect. May we hold gratitude for the future and the Divine Dream with our Name on it.
in lak’ech, i am another you

5 Eagle/MEN (Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI)
Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.
Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth. Due to the Eagles superior point of view and keen intelligence, they achieve material abundance and good fortune. A messenger gifted with patience and a deep sense of value, Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit. Eagle persons are very detail oriented and technically inclined. Compassionate service to others sustains prosperity for Eagle personas as the flapping of wings would sustain their bird brothers. If Eagle becomes viciously competitive or possessive, greed and jealousy cause a fall from the heights. Eagles, being blessed with freedom of movement, should be aware of escapism. Eagles may be tempted to just fly away from troubles by using indulgences.
Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI: Eagle’s symbol is Mars the Spirit Warrior. He is a minion of Grandfather Moon. Eagles were the warrior society, the braves the protectors of the nation. Women were included. There was no discrimination which is reflected in the language: third person singular is divided into animate, human and animate, not human instead of he and she. The energy of high hopes and anticipations, dreams and visions, cosmic consciousness and commitment. On earth, a provider of excellence, leader, husbandry, care-taking of others, financial security and inheritance.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
