THE TRECENA OF EARTH/CABAN: A MIGRATION OF SPIRIT
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
On Tone 7 we reach the top of the pyramid. Tone 7 holds the Intention of Reflection. From the view Above, we see “all that is” and “all that is not.”
Tone 7 is the Center, the axis mundi that defines the Balance of Creation. Number 7 symbolizes the Great Law of Creation, “As Above, So Below.” On Tone 7 we can see the Truth we learn by a Human experience. We are weighed in the Balance by the Reason we moved. A Divine Creator doesn’t measure us by our human limitations, but by the Dream of our Creation.
Our Dream was to Create a Life of Harmony and Equity for the Whole. For all the effort we invested in turning back to the Light, so will a Divine Agency share in the Balance. Only, the gift of the Sacred Exchange will be carried out by an exponential Power of Love.
Night/AKBAL is the archetype of a Dreamer that Believes the Dream. The glyph illustrates the veil to the realm of Spirit, drawn back to reveal an Eternal Light that shines in the dark. It resembles the face of the Monkey/CHUEN without a nose. The Maya believe the way to tell “reality” from a Dream is to look for your nose. (The absence of the nose was the discernment of a lucid dream.) If you can’t see your whole nose, you’re living in an illusion. Our Dreams are the Truth and the world is the illusion. Masks were used by the Maya to see one’s self as an archetype that could appear in a Dream.
Human was born to create in the Light of Day. It only makes sense that the other half of our life holds a Divine Meaning and Purpose. Human reason isn’t in charge of our Dreams. Anything can happen. We aren’t looking for anything to happen. Our mind is open to all possibility.
In our Dreams we reside in Divine Communion with the Creator. AKBAL holds Communion for a Divine Inspiration, a Voice that speaks in our Dreams.
AKBAL guides us to willingly enter the darkness of the Unknown as the place of ALL possibilty. AKBAL resides in the West, the direction of our Unknown Future and all things Unseen. AKBAL turns on the Light. Mystical experiences are possible on Night/AKBAL. All our faculties of Consciousness are connected so we can see the inner workings of our own mind. AKBAL shares the Consciousness of Unconscious thoughts. Through our Human Intellect we can SEE the faculties of our Imagination. On AKBAL we See the Light.
Holding the Element of Water, AKBAL relates to our Emotions that stir our Spirit. On AKBAL the Waters of our Emotions are stirred up to see the Truth of the Dream we Love. Divine Truth will restore our equilibrium.
Days marked by AKBAL are like a dream. This is an important day to pay attention to our Dreams. We can wake up with the memory of a beautiful dream that we can’t quite remember. We want to remember. We try to grasp the details, but they are left on our pillow. What we WILL see clearly is all our unconscious doubts and fears. We need to be sedated to FEEL this truth in our Self that will change us.
AKBAL can be the “dark night of the soul,” the Breakdown that leads to a Breakthrough. Our tears and our feelings ARE a Divine Communion with the Creator that express the Truth of something we Love. We know just how much we Love, when all hope of the dream is gone. We will be blessed by the Holy Water. AKBAL is the Divine Voice that can break through to share the Divine Truth.
A Divine Creator encouraged our wildest dreams. Lost in our unconscious thoughts are all our reasons of “impossibility.” We see “all that is” and “all that is not” possible by our Human limitations. You might find yourself distracted by a “body of thoughts.” When AKBAL turns on the Light, you might see all your Human limitations. An illusion is broken down as we Feel our limitations. We might see all the foolish choices we’ve made in the past, and all the times the failure was “our fault.”
The Voice that breaks through can reach our Heart and Mind. AKBAL is a day of important breakdowns. A Divine Creator wants to share the Truth of Love with our Heart. Feeling Truth is the highest way to Remember. We have to be willing to enter the darkness to hear the Voice in our Dreams. We have to go where our Feelings lead us. We are guided to turn away from dark thoughts. Though, AKBAL guides us to always turn to our Feelings that convey the True condition of our Heart.
Pay attention to your Dreams, whether you are asleep or awake. A Truth of Light lies within. AKBAL can share an audible Voice with words beyond “a feeling.” We can hear them spoken at an altar when our side of the Divine Communion is the Truth of a broken heart. GOD WILL ANSWER.
I still remember 8 Night/AKBAL on my first dedicated round of the Tzolk’in. All hope was lost. I saw all the Time of my life that had been wasted, and how far I might have gone if I’d applied the Sense of Wisdom. I saw dreams that could never come true, because of ME. I heard the Divine Truth of Love as a Voice I will never forget. AKBAL still presents some dark nights, but the Truth I remember as the First Light that shined for me. I’ve never known that same darkness again without Remembering the Truth of Love that I heard as a Voice speaking the very words I needed to hear to Believe in my Dreams.
The Mayan pyramids are dynamic illustrations of Human’s climb to Higher Consciousness. The pyramids were the Highest Creation for Human to reach to the stars. One pyramid was built over another as the Maya grasped “higher possibilities.” The Holy of Holies above the canopy was the threshold between two worlds, a reflection Above in balance with a reflection Below. In the reflection, the stairs leading down continue upward, crossing over into a realm of Spirit. It Feels like a human descent for the Unseen Power like gravity that draws us into the Truth Above. The top of the pyramid was the place for a Leap of Faith.
ALL Time was created for a Divine Meaning and purpose. Our Dreams are more than just Time for the restoration of our body. In our Dreams we let go of Reason, and Anything is possible. When we aren’t Conscious to take care of our Self, we are under the care of a Divine Agency. Our Spirit Ascends in a Dream to Receive the Truth we can’t Imagine when we’re awake. In our Dreams we are One in a Sacred Ceremony of Love. If we try to forget a dream so beautiful it broke our heart, we’ll never hear the Voice or See the Light. We have to “go there” to Hear the Answer.
To all my relations, in the 9th uinal we are guided under the direction of a Divine Agency that Intervenes. On Tone 7 we see the limits of Human’s imagination of “all that could be.” We are prepared for a Transformation on Tone 8, the Holy Day when we Know the Truth of Divine Justice. On AKBAL we KNOW and FEEL what we Love that is “all that is not” so we will be Conscious of a Miracle of Love… and end beyond the limits of our Imagination.
May we kneel at an altar and open our heart to Bare the Dream we ALWAYS Loved, one we pushed into our unconscious thoughts when we were sure it was lost forever. The Dream we Love with all our heart holds the Power that Makes Dreams Come True. May we enter the darkness to know the Truth. A Supreme Lord of Creation waited for us to Know Our Dream with the Wisdom to ASK, so we could BELIEVE in the Truth of a Miracle.
Today is a Breakthrough. May we be blessed by our own Tears. May we Give Thanks 3 Times for the Unlimited Power of the Holy, Holy, Holy.
in lak’ech, i am another you

A SACRED CEREMONY: The Elders shared a Sacred Ceremony for our Dreams. We were instructed to prepare the bedroom by smudging it down with our prayers. Some guided us to wear white pajamas. Once everything was ready, we would carry out a ritual of purification. In the shower we would acknowledge the water as descending Light. “Ta tse clo ee ee eh” were the words that were given. Each step is part of the sacred ceremony, carried out with the mindfulness of a prayer. After a ritual cleansing we were told to go straight to bed.
Through a ritual cleansing we can Acknowledge the Unseen Agency that guides our Dreams of Love. We can ask to Receive a Blessing in our Dreams. The Earth/CABAN trecena is guided by Tlazolteotl, the “Filth Goddess” of Mother Earth. She is associated with the Moon and our emotions, and the Goddess of Ritual Cleansing. Her intention is to eat all the dirt and dead flesh away that doesn’t serve the Dream for our Life. May we Dream Awake of a Divine Mother who intends for our Happiness to be, and allow her to open our Heart to hear a Divine Truth of Love in our Dreams that we’ll never forget. AHO!

7 Night/AKBAL (Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA)
Galactic Tone 7: Reflective; 7 stands as the mirror to divide light and dark and reflect all that is and is not. 7 is associated with the source of creation and the flow of divine will. 7 establishes the purpose to current and future goals.
Night/Akbal: Bringers of the Dawn. Dreamers who bring the new sun to clarify and illuminate the road of life. Thus the insecurities and doubts born of darkness of the sub-conscious mind are dispelled. These persons travel the Void… a place where nothing yet exists but all potential dwells, the womb of creation. From this void, Night persons bring forth new solutions and artistic inspiration. Night’s voyages of dreams build confidence and happiness with a sense of well being. If night does not bravely journey into the void they may find themselves wandering the darkness of self doubt and insecurity.
Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA: Hearth’s symbol is the fire pit in the Center, velvet black as the night. The triangle in Orion. The M42 nebula (home of the Central race from the WingMakers) in the center of the triangle of Orion is the fire in the Hearth, also matching the Mayan. The Hearth is the Torchbearer who holds the light and warmth throughout the night.
