12 Deer / MANIK – A Divine Inheritance: Day 12 of 13

THE TRECENA OF WISDOM/CIB: FOLLOWING THE LIGHT WITHIN

12 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

Tone 12 raises our Consciousness to Understanding. Disassociated pieces and parts of an experience are drawn together into a new meaningful Whole. On Tone 12 Truth is taken to heart to make Sense. 12 is a symbol of Humanity, a Being of Duality in the lower place, side-by-side with the One Above.

Comprehension is a Divine Gift. Our Gifts of Intellect and Imagination are Divine for the Power of Discernment. The 12 holds the Power to Ascend to 13 when  2, our Human Nature and our Divine Nature, are aligned for a Divine Cause. A Dream of Divinity was made possible through the Sacred Right of Choice. Through our Intellect and Imagination, Human was given the Power to Dream, to manifest a Reason Why.

Deer/MANIK is the nahaul of Vigilant Consciousness. MANIK is a symbol of Spiritual Stability, with one foot firmly planted in each of the 4 directions. The Deer is always looking for the Highest Ground. To protect its Time and Place, the Deer stands silently in the Truth.

MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan priest, one who is dedicated to a personal path of Spirit. The Mayan priest silently counts the days and carries out the rituals and ceremonies on behalf of the Whole. MANIK is a symbol of the Highest way of Integrity, to walk the walk. We don’t have to defend who we are and the choices we make when we know we are carrying out a Divine Mission on behalf of the whole. It’s okay if we are misunderstood, and we weren’t intended to prove Our Way. The Deer guides us to claim Our Way.

MANIK symbolizes a Divine Power of Harmonic Resonance. The Vibration of Pure Love draws lower frequencies into sympathy. When we have the Freedom to Choose and we see another one kneeling in the Light of Love, we Remember to turn to our own prayers. MANIK holds Faith for the Whole as its way to Express the Offering of Unconditional Love.

MANIK holds the Element of Water and resides in the West. On days guided by MANIK our heart is turned to the Unknown journey of our Life and the Hopes and Dreams that lie ahead. Through Vigilant Consciousness – to choose the direction of our thoughts, with Time we wear a path from going back and forth. Deer/MANIK guides us to apply the Truth of Cause and Effect to a Divine Mission. When we are lost in the darkness, we will carry on like our Mother. We will know the way to a Divine Future when we create the path to an altar. Water holds the Ether of Spirit used by the Mayan priest for blessings, baptisms, initiations, and purifications.

The Seed of a New Life is consecrated and Blessed. A Higher Understanding of the Meaning and Purpose of a New Life is waiting for us to Understand at an altar.

All the Day Signs are archetypes of a Divine Creator. They were given as personalities so we can conceive a comprehensive Truth that we couldn’t explain without sharing all the experiences of a Time and Place of Truth. They are aspects of the Creator’s character and Divine aspects of our Self when we make the Choice to align our self with the Cause of the 19 that make up the all-in-one.

A Divine Creator comes to an altar every day when the Sun rises and we are Seen in the Light. A Divine Creator waits there at the threshold of Spirit, to lead the path into our Dreams. A Divine Creator is perfect at Vigilant Consciousness. A Divine Creator knows that all we have to do is choose a path for the Intention of Love, and we will be Guided by a Promise of Love, the most Divine Wisdom, when we Know it’s True.

MANIK guides us to take up our Staff and follow. My teacher Joseph Rael, “Beautiful Painted Arrow” is a mystic and shaman of the Tewa/Hopi tradition who shared many visions and dreams. When asked how it was possible, he said, “I just obey.” We are called to an altar. When we obey, we will Remember to Ask and God WILL Answer.

The glyph illustrates a Human hand. “Hand” is another name for MANIK. Our Divine Meaning and Purpose is to be God’s Hand in the world through a Mission of Light. The forefinger and thumb are shown grasping a thread of ether that completes a Circuit of Divine Power. Faith is as good as Believing, when we bring our Prayers to an altar for a Divine Cause. We KNOW when we’ve made the Sacred Choice. We have the Sense and Wisdom to know the only way to ever Create Harmony is by making Choices guided by the Light of Unconditional Love. When we ask a Divine Creator to guide a Way, we can have Faith in all the experiences that lead us to the Divine Truth.

Don Alejandro Cirilo Perez Oxlaj
Is a 13th Generation Quiche Mayan High Priest. Early in life Don Alejandro was recognized by members of his Mayan people as a messenger to carry the traditions. He is president of the Mayan Council of Elders, a body of 440 male and female elders of wisdom in Guatemala, representing 23 different ethnic groups and has the authority to speak on its behalf. Don Alejandro is also the head of the Indigenous Council of the Americas, which has member tribes from Tierra de Fuego, to Alaska and serves as a gathering point for shamans and elders of many peoples.

To all my relations, may we give thanks for the Mayan priest that has carried prayers for us to an altar. May we send our Love to Tata, Don Alejandro, the 13th generation Mayan priest who was given the Meaning and Purpose to share the calendars with the world in the time of the 13th Baktun. We are walking into a new era of Humanity. We Know it’s True. May we dedicate the path we’re on to the One Above who can guide us through the chaos by the Light of a New Way.

May we Give thanks for the Divine Inheritance of Wisdom passed down for a Meaning and Purpose of Love, shared with Life that will find a Higher Way.

In lak’ech, I am another you

12 Deer (Hand)/MANIK, (Cherokee Deer Ahwu’sdi)

Galactic Tone 12: Twelve is a gift of great capacity of retrospection. It is this ability that allows Twelve to connect disassociated parts into a (new) functioning whole. The energy of Twelve is that which presents a new piece of understood information or accumulated experience to be applied.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
