12 Dog / OC – Revival of Spirit: Day 12 of 13

THE TRECENA OF STORM/CAUAC: GRASPED BY THE LIGHT

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

12 Dog / OC

Greetings Kin,

Tone 12 is the day of Understanding. Offering/MULUC helped us a Divine Reason to Love, Paying Back and Paying Forward. On Tone 12 we take the Truth to heart.

We claim a Debt to the Creator we are Willing to repay as our Offering of Sacred Exchange. We were given the Keys to the Kingdom. Today our Heart Believes our own Truth, that we are standing at the threshold of our Divine Destiny.

Dog/OC sees theWell-being of the Whole central to its own Happiness. 12 Dog/OC holds the Wisdom of Love in the North to guide the way. Through the Element of Air, Dog/OC can share a Divine thought to change our mind. Tone 12 holds the Ah-ha moment of Truth that we Remember.

The trecena of Transformer/CIMI prepared us for a Major Life Change with the Gifts to Create Love.  Storm/CAUAC shared a Revival of Spirit to carry it out. We saw the Divine Light we could be. Nothing has to hold us down. We’re Free to Rise as we are Drawn by the Unseen Hand of Divinity.

The Dog sees Life as an Opportunity. The Dog doesn’t waste any time to Love. It knows the treasure is everywhere and it only takes a little push. If Love isn’t returned now, it will find us later. The Dog knows that Love takes Time.

The Cherokee Day Sign is the Wolf. Wolves are known to be keen at following a scent. When a Wolf brings something back to the pack, another Wolf often picks up the scent and follows it all the way back to the place it was found. For all the Love we Look for and Find, we leave a trail of Light for someone else to follow. Every Human Dream holds the same Intention for Happiness.

On a day marked by Wisdom, we can Give Thanks for all the Wisdom made possible by Love. The North holds the Element of Air, related to the faculties of Consciousness. The Dog follows Unseen Trails divined through all its Senses. Dog reminds us that the Gift of our 5 Human senses are just as Divine as our Supernatural senses.

Human was Sacred to Creator for making the journey through Time. Dog guides us to be faithful and loyal to one another. A Dog identifies with its family and will defend and protect its own. The Dog is said to be faithful beyond death, leading us back to the stars across the Milky Way – “the place where the Dogs ran.”

To all my relations, may count our blessings for a “dog’s life.” We were given the Power and Freedom to find our Treasure.

May we Gift Thanks for all the Beauty and Happiness in our Life – and a Way of Love that was given. May we give thanks for the Treasure that can never be forgotten.

May give thanks for a Divine Reason To Be and the Sense to Feel the Truth.

in lak’ech, i am another you

12 Dog/OC (Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI)

Galactic Tone 12: Understanding. This number’s energy is a gift of great capability of retrospection. It is this ability that allows Twelve to connect disassociated parts into a (new) functioning whole. The energy of Twelve is that which presents a new piece of understood information or accumulated experience to be applied.

Dog/OC: Courageous, loyal and warm-hearted, very alert and valiant, people born of Dog are respected for their sense of justice and their protection. People born of the sun sign Dog are very sensual and know how to enjoy life. Playfulness and a good understanding of the basic human nature lead to prosperity for Dog. Dogs are good team players who love to travel and have a keen sense of their position in society. Dogs are ambitious and will take opportunities when they offer themselves, including infidelities. Dog persons share the nature of coyotes, spies, wolves and lawyers.

Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI: Wolf is symbolized by Sirius (Dog star) and Antares, one or the other always visible but never at the same time.  Wolf is our brother, shares our very roots.  All dogs are domesticated wolves, companionship and guidance.  Wolves are a connecting link between the worlds; ones who inspire loyalty, diplomacy and sense of humor with unlimited potential.  Wolf is the Day Sign of teachers, healers, pathfinders and transformers; sharp as obsidian, gentle as a lamb.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. Links to sources and other resources of study are offered on the Daykeeper Resources Page. ~Debra]
