BLUE AVALANCHE LIGHTS IN CHINA: This might be something new. On the night of Oct. 27th, Chinese astrophotographer Shengyu Li set up his camera to record star trails over Mount Xiannairi in Sichuan, China. The long exposure had just begun when an icy serac broke free from a hanging glacier. Note the blue flashes within the ensuing avalanche:

 

“We have not found any previously documented cases of such an event, making this discovery both thrilling and intriguing for us,” says Li. “Our initial hypothesis is that the luminescence may result from friction-induced lighting during the fragmentation of ice.”

The phenomenon is called “triboluminescence.” Legendary physicist Richard Feynman explains it best: “When you take a lump of sugar and crush it with a pair of pliers in the dark, you can see a bluish flash. Some other crystals do that too. Nobody knows why.” You can create triboluminescent flashes yourself by smashing Lifesavers.

The avalanche Li witnessed was rich in ice. “It started with a blocky serac, which randomly calved from a glacier near the mountain’s peak,” says Carson Reid, a mountaineer who analyzed Li’s movie. “The serac would have fragmented as it tumbled down and smashed into natural obstacles.” The most significant “smash points” seem to have produced the most blue light.

Li shared his movie with other astrophographers in China. One of them found a similar blue flash in footage of a completely different mountain in Xinjiang, China three weeks earlier: (See video of Mount Muztagh Ata with Blue Avalanche Light by Earth to Sky Calculus at Spaceweather.com)

SOMETHING FLARE-Y THIS WAY COMES: Yesterday, a sunspot hidden behind the sun’s northeastern limb produced an M9-(almost-X)-class solar flare. Today, the same sunspot is revealing itself, (below). It is clearly capable of strong explosions, which may become geoeffective as the sunspot turns toward Earth later this week.

7 Flint “Beams the Stellar Ray of Truth to Earth as a crystal sword cast down along the path of a lightning flash.Flint is the transformer that brings things to a head and wipes the slate clean.” On Tone 7 “all that is” and “all that is not” the Truth is brought to light like a thunderbolt. The Truth changes a static thought of discernment into the dynamic Truth for change. In the trecena of Road/EB, the higher intention is the Truth that sheds light on the Road to Human’s destiny.

Galactic Tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of Divine Will. With a keen sense of ethics, Seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.

Flint/ETZNAB: Mirror of reality. As a struck flint, these persons are the divine sparks of intelligence. Flint’s innate abilities are utilized to discriminate emotions from fact. Flint persons stand tireless to protect, defend, or cure others by personal sacrifice. By courageously wielding the sword of truth, falsehoods are cut away. Flints, it was said, can receive information on inter-personal troubles or evil plots of others by reflecting in an obsidian mirror. Their valiant service as warriors of the truth must be impeccable or they will experience sufferings of accidents, misunderstandings and gossip.

A GOOD TO: Spend time in reflection and introspection.

Cherokee, Flint/DAWI’SGALA: Opener of the Way, a creator, innovator, stretches the mind to outside limits of capabilities. Changes the static to the dynamic.  Brings about change, often through separation and destruction.  Beams the Stellar Ray of Truth to Earth as a crystal sword cast down along the path of a lightning flash. Flint is the transformer that brings things to a head and wipes the slate clean.
