MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S BLOG
Tone 13 is the Day of Ascension. 13 is the number of theurgy, a Promise of Divine Intervention when we reach out to the Creator through our Sacred Rituals and Ceremony. 13 is the number of our Divine Communion and the Promise of Answered Prayer.
Star/LAMAT guides an Ascension as a Personification of Light. As the last day in the Sacred Cycle of Creation, 13 Star/LAMAT served as the Guardian of the trecena. The Creator who manifested the Whole of Creation, planned the Ending from the Beginning. The Ascension planned for us is the Wisdom to Know our Self as a Personification of the Creator’s Light, a Star that shines unto itself.
Our Spirits are Illustrated on Earth as the children of the Brightest Star in Heaven. Human’s brightest Star is the Sun. LAMAT is a symbol of Venus, the brightest heavenly body that shines its own Light, second only to the Sun. Venus appears as the Morning and Evening Star in cycles that relate to the 260 days of the Tzolk’in. Human’s Light as a Star, shines close to the Sun and also shines in the Darkness.
The Creator imagined Human as a Star from our Beginning to our End. Given a Spark of the Creator, we each hold the Light of our own Consciousness. The Balance that was intended is that the Light of the One Brightest Star would be Balanced Below by the Transformation of all our Lights shining together. The Light Below would be Created through the Justice of Harmony and Equity. No one Human Light was meant to shine brighter than another, though we all shine in our own way.
All the stars above shine their own Special Kind of Light. They shine the colors of the Tzolk’in, some red, blue, yellow, and white. Together, shining through the One Light of the Creator, we appear as a display of all the colors of the rainbow.
Lamat’s totem is the Rabbit, the same as the Cherokee Day Sign. Rabbit is a symbol of Love that Overflows, and the very cauldron of creation teaming with Life, Sexuality, and Reproduction. Rabbit holds the Passion to Create. Through our own Passion and Love, the Fruit of our Spirit is Multiplied to Abundance. The Rabbit marks a day of “pure luck.” Whatever we are passionate about, enough to focus on in our imagination, the Rabbit will Multiply to Abundance.
LAMAT reminds us that we were created from Passion and Love. As we become Conscious of the Creator who Created us down to the last detail, we can Know the Blessing of Unconditional Love. We were never forgotten. Our happiness was equally important. We were included in the Divine Plan. Without any conditions we were promised to be drawn to the Above where we would spend eternity Knowing the Creator’s Love.
Human is Sacred to the Creator. In order for us to experience our own Transformation from Darkness to Light, we were placed on Mother Earth. Her movement creating Time allows Human to See the Transformation from the Beginning to the End. We were Created for this Relationship with the Creator, the Omega, the all-in-one that was everything that could ever be or ever was. Through this Relationship, the Creator could Know itself in all its potential ways of Being as a Dynamic Experience.
Conscious of the Creator’s importance of Relationship, we might consider our own Experience of Relationships. Human is defined through our Intentions of Movement. Through our Divine Nature, our Spirit leans toward Relationships of Love. Our Spirit was designed to hold an Intention of Love. Yet, this is only half of who we are. We define our Divinity, when we make a Choice from our Human Nature to move in alignment with our own Spirit.
We can have the Highest Ideals yet fail to carry them out in our Human experience. We can only See our own Truth through our Relationships with one another. Our Human challenge is to employ the Love we imagine when we walk out the door. From our Divine Consciousness it’s possible to imagine the Love and Oneness. We can imagine how special we were all created to be. The challenge is carrying these Divine thoughts over to our Human experience. In the reality of our physical journey, these “Divine Beings” are the very Humans that cause us so much suffering. It was a Human of Divine Being that cut us off on the road. A Human of Divine Being took advantage. And Humans of Divine Being created war on Earth. It’s hard to see the Divinity through Human eyes, when we define one another by our Human Nature.
The challenge for Human to Live in accordance with our own Divine Nature is all overcome by the Intention of Forgiveness. Wisdom/CIB offered the tools for Spiritual Wisdom, the Wisdom that can be accomplished through Vigilant Consciousness. CIB taught us to look Deeper and Higher at everything all around. CIB taught us to see the world through the Eyes of Spirit.
Through the Eyes of Love, we can see the Truth of the Divine Nature of the Whole. Through Wisdom, we can Know that the Spirit within Human longs for the Highest Experience of Love. Our failure to carry it out in a material world below is a matter of Human Suffering from the fear of never manifesting the Love we long to know. All our Human Nature knows by instinct is to fight for our survival. Until our Divine Eyes are opened, we are unable to see that every war Human wages is a Fight for Love. We fail in a Human Intention to grasp it without giving in return.
Through Divine Consciousness we learn the simple Truth that all the Love we could ever want is created when we volunteer to be the one to Give Love First. A Divine War for Love is an Intention to walk out the door and Give our Love Unconditionally, to see every opportunity to Give our Love. Through our Higher Consciousness of Love, the Truth will become easy to see that Love will overcome every Darkness of Human’s unconscious suffering for Love. When we are positioned to directly offer our Forgiveness to another Human, we will see the Power of our Divinity. Forgiveness is the Divine Act that Sees and Acknowledges the Divinity in another. When we are Forgiven, we Know another Human saw something Divine in us that exceeded a Human failure.
When we Forgive, our own Light grows Brighter. When we make a Choice to Forgive, we can’t help but see the Light in our Self. Our Light is Believing in the Power greater than any darkness, greater than any Human offense. We only hold resentment because we feel that another Human stands in the way of our Happiness. When we know the Power of the Creator, there is never a reason to fear any Human, or any experience that may be part of living. We can believe in a future that is held in the Hands of the Creator. Knowing we are Unconditionally Loved, we will long for others to Know the Blessing. We will Know it as the Answer to the Happiness of the Whole. Every Human longs to be seen for their own Light. We suffer when we can’t see it for our Self.
Star/LAMAT reminds us that we are made of stars, and like stars, our Light was meant to shine equally all around. The glyph marks the 4 directions. Like a star, when all our Light is directed inward we collapse. Our Light will shine eternally, when we turn it around. Instead for grasping desperately for the Love we long to receive, an ever-multiplying abundance of Love is Guaranteed when we give it away, expecting nothing in return.
This “pure love” is different than “romantic love,” that holds expectations and dependency. Unconditional Love are those Divine Occasions, when we give from the heart wanting nothing back. Unconditional Love fully sees and acknowledges another as a fellow Human Being. We are all worthy of Forgiveness.
The world Below is an equal and opposite reflection of the realm of Spirit Above. Below, we grab for what we want. Above, we Give what we want. The Creation of our own Happiness is simple, but it isn’t easy until we Forgive.
Through Forgiveness we can see things clearly. We can see that the darkness of our resentment is our own offense. Through the eyes of Spirit we can see the Humanity on both sides, going through the motions of life and suffering for Love. As the Hand of God, volunteering to go first, Divine Love can create a Chain Reaction of Love. Through Forgiveness we bring the Gift of Acknowledging the Light in each other. It only takes a little Light to overcome the darkness. Once we see even a little bit of our own Light, we will be drawn to see the rest of the Growing Light in our Self.
My challenge is Forgiving those who have not Forgiven me. My different way of Being is uncomfortable for someone I love, at least for now. I can still believe in the Love that’s there. I have to keep on Living and Dreaming for my own Happiness. I have to be willing to Receive Love from some place else. I imposed limitations on my options for happiness, worrying what others think. Our own Truth will always set us Free. We are All Free to Be Happy doing something we choose for our Self.
Through the Sacred Right of Choice we were each given the Freedom and Responsibility of our own path. Humans are occasionally wrong. The positions we defend as truth could all be changed from a Perspective of Higher Consciousness. We maintain Right Relationship assuming there’s a 50/50 chance it’s US that’s wrong. Seriously – a 50/50 chance in every difference of opinion. (It’s better to avoid opinions all together, and just stand on the One Truth of the Creator’s Love.)
The story the Creator tells us through Mother Earth is about the Divine Nature of all living things, our Perfection, and the Consciousness that draws us together. All living things are naturally drawn to the Light. When we Forgive, a Revelation of the Creator’s Love is the Light that shines through us. Forgiveness is Love that can only be Given From our Divine Nature. Our Choice to Live in the Light is a Commitment to be a Forgiver.
Today is 1 Sak’ on the Haab calendar. The 20-day month of Sak’ is observed by the Maya as a time to ask for Forgiveness for killing the animals. The 365-day Haab “vague year” reflects a planetary cycle of Transformation. CIMI was the Sign of a Major Life Change, as we are going through the Major Changes of this Tzolk’in round, so is the world going through a Major Life Change. The Human and Planetary cycles of Transformation are synchronized in an Intention of Forgiveness. By Divine Design, CIB was here now to prepare us for a Planetary Experience of Forgiveness.
Wisdom/CIB resides in the South the direction of our relationships with one another and the Natural World. In a Divine Balancing of Above and Below, our Ascension lies at the Threshold of an Inspiration of Divine Forgiveness. CIB’s cycle of “Higher Learning” ends with the Experience of Being Forgiven. We will hold the Wisdom of Forgiveness and the Key that will open the Door to a new experience of Harmony and Right Relationship with the Whole of Creation.
Star/LAMAT, the totem rabbit, holds dynamic energy of movement. Rabbit moves from holding very still to jumping into action. The energy of the Rabbit is “all over the place.” Our thoughts can jump from high to low. LAMAT is a day to present the Offering of our Intention to Love in our Morning Prayers, so through a Divine Intervention, we will always end up in the Light.
Our Ascension is a Day to Celebrate. Like a Graduation, today is a milestone that marks a beginning of seeing our Self in a Whole new Light. Celebrations and ceremonies are important. They help us remember. Today will end as a crashing wave of energy, and tomorrow is another climb. The parting message of the Ascended Ones would remind us to crystallize in our memory the Truths we learned to stand on.
To all my relations, may we give thanks that Humanity is One in a Divine Plan. Through our Communion with the Creator, we will Know we are never left alone. One Spark at a time, we will gather the Light of the Creator. May we claim the Divine Authority of the Creator’s plan as our Vision of the Future. May we mark a milestone and crystallize the important Truth we’ve learned. May we Honor the Ancestors for the Inheritance of their Wisdom, Acknowledging the Darkness they must have overcome to shine such a Light. May we use the Key of Forgiveness to Know the Power to Transform the lives of the Whole.

THE JAGUAR’S MAGIC OF GRATITUDE – I’m grateful for the Spark of Light that was shared with Human by the Creator that offers the Choice to Shine in both the Darkness and the Light. I’m grateful for the Love we can share to raise the Light of the Whole. I’m grateful for Forgiveness that allows us all to see the Truth of the Divinity in both our Self and others.

13 Star/LAMAT (Cherokee, Rabbit/NOQUI’SEGWA)
Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Star/LAMAT: Star energy is multiplication of all things to abundance. Star has been associated with the fertility of rabbits for its ability to multiply. As each sun in the sky, Star persons shine equally in all directions. This natural tendency of harmony and balance can become compulsion, motivating Star to be too agreeable and too generous, rejected gifts cause fear and resentment. When a Star believes it has been given too much, they are weakened or may even collapse. In this “Black Hole” state, Stars are prone to verbal jousting and arguing to force their point of view on everyone.
Cherokee, Rabbit/NOQUI’SEGWA: Symbol-Venus, The Morning Star cycle of 260 days and Evening Star cycle of another 260 days, inspired the 13 numbers, 20 Day sign Sacred Calendar. Rabbit is the Trickster of Cherokee culture, matching the Coyote in other nations. The personification of Light and New Life, Sunrise, the scion of the Moon-Father of earth children, the Rabbit is fertility, be fruitful and multiply. Represents softness, gentleness and vulnerability. LAMAT– Totem Rabbit. Energies of re-birth, regeneration, ripening, harvest and abundance. This person is overflowing with love energy in all areas of life. Spiritual growth is natural and with ease due to the unconditional love energy that flows.

UPDATE ON A LIFE DREAM: OCTOBER IS HERE
The reality of the journey has set in with the arrival of October. The jaguar has already begun my journey into the unknown. I’ve already imagined myself before the stairs of El Castillo pyramid making my offering of Sacred Ceremony and the prayers I will share for all of us.
I hadn’t thought much about the possibility of seeing or hearing a Quetzal bird or a Yucatan Spider Monkey. The timing close to November should offer a slight drop from the highest temperatures, and a little more potential for rain.
I’ve already followed a jaguar’s path to Ek’ Balam, imaging a place that might present itself to leave an offering for Ian Lungold. I’ve imagined the connection that could be made there.
I’ve climbed a few steps, resting near the bottom to see how I am capable to accomplish the task if I take it a few steps at a time.
I’ve already looked back from the future, from a dream I once thought could never come true for me.
I can see that a Miracle still lies beyond the Dream. I still can’t imagine what it could be. My Intention is to honor every moment and surprise in the experience as a path that was laid before me as the Divine Justice for a Deeply Held Dream of Consciousness. You have been a part of making my dream come true. much love, in lak’ech, Debra https://www.gofundme.com/life-dream-a-pilgrimage-of-spirit
