MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S BLOG
Tone 12 holds the Intention of Understanding. We were given the Sign of a Major Life Change. The strangeness we feel is the chaos of letting go of ways that were familiar. Though a gift of Higher Discernment, CIMI helped us to see beyond the chaos and Look to our Future.
The Wisdom/CIB trecena intended for us to create our own Wisdom of the Experience of Creation. We were given the Keys to the Kingdom through Higher Consciousness and Forgiveness. We were born to Create a world of Harmony and Equity Below as the Instrument of the Up Above.
Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan Priest. This is the Meaning and Purpose of our Journey by the Tzolk’in calendar, to be the Hand of God in the world. MANIK is also Known as Hand. The glyph illustrates a hand with forefinger and thumb grasping a thread of Ether that completes a circuit to Divine Power. The circle on the hand represents an eye to remind us that the Deer’s primary means of protection is Vigilant Consciousness and observation in all 4 directions.
Deer/MANIK completes the Experience of Understanding who we were Divinely Created to Be. Living as a Dreamer who believes in the Dream, MANIK helps us comprehend the Power that makes it possible.
MANIK is capable to push away negative influences. As we are leaving our past behind and moving toward a Major Life Change in our future. MANIK applies its clarity of vision and resolve to pay very close attention to everything all around.
The Inner Strength of the Deer is its Power to Stand Silently in its Truth. Deer/MANIK offers an example for others to follow through the Strength of its Integrity. MANIK as the priest is the Observer over Sacred Ceremony, building the Sacred Fires that draw the community together into Right Relationship. MANIK holds the Power of Attraction. Through a Gift of Harmonic Resonance, others are naturally drawn into sympathy with the Deer’s Vibration of Truth and Love.
Deer/MANIK is the bringer of Spiritual Tools, and is said to keep every Spiritual Tool it has ever used. The Deer promises a Spiritual Gift for every Human limitation. Residing in the West, the direction of our unknown experiences of life, the Deer reaches our heart. Our limitation will be raised to our Consciousness to be presented with the Spiritual Tool to overcome it.
MANIK comes with a caution about using ALL our Spiritual Tools. There can be confusion in too many ways. There is Power in finding the Spiritual Tools that we find Proven and Worthy and using them again and again. It’s better to advance our Spiritual Gifts one at a time so we can invest ourselves deeply into our own Understanding.
Deer/MANIK lives a life dedicated to a Communion with the Creator. The service of Deer is a living example. Deer’s Mission is to make a Divine Discernment for itself, so others can share in the Wisdom of the experience. Deer doesn’t force its Truth, but allows others to seek the Truth for themselves. Deer/MANIK is an example of Believing in the Truth of its own Higher Ground.
Today is the dawning of a new Truth that moves from the head to the heart. Understanding is the final step toward a new Ascension of Consciousness. Truth by truth we are transformed by a continuing correspondence that raises our Faith to a Belief.
Wisdom/CIB has given us the Truth of our Spiritual Gifts. They were given to perform a Divine Service. Our Consciousness has been drawn to our Gifts, our Sixth Sense of “Knowing.” All of Humanity shares these gifts. We are all creating our Every Day. We could be drawn into the Intentions of Creation around us, or we can Choose a Conscious Intention for our Self. We THINK about what we want and push away from negative thoughts that we don’t want. When we Choose to Create for Divine Purpose, we grasp the thread of Ether that completes the circuit to a Divine Source of Power. When we Create for Love, we engage an Almighty Force that holds the Authority over ALL Creation.
The most Divine Love that Human can give is Forgiveness. Understanding and Tolerance are the elements of Love that Human most longs for. We know we fail. We fear that the failures we haven’t overcome stand in the way of our Knowing Love. We want to be wholly accepted as we are and live in the Harmony of Right Relationship.
To all my relations, may we consider our own Gifts of Wisdom and Discernment. May we claim the Spirit in us that is Moved by the Vibration of Love. As we take the inventory of our own Divine Gifts, may we Comprehend the only reason they would have been Given to fulfill a Meaning and Purpose. We can Know we were designed to be Divine Creators, created to Dream, and Created to Manifest our own Creation. May we raise our feelings of limitation to the Creator and Receive the Power that overcomes every Human weakness.

THE JAGUAR’S MAGIC OF GRATITUDE: I’m grateful for the Spiritual Gift of creating our own experiences, instead of waiting and hoping for something good to happen to us.

12 Deer (Hand)/MANIK, (Cherokee Deer Ahwu’sdi)
Galactic Tone 12: Twelve is a gift of great capacity of retrospection. It is this ability that allows Twelve to connect disassociated parts into a (new) functioning whole. The energy of Twelve is that which presents a new piece of understood information or accumulated experience to be applied.
Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.
Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions. Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer: A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician. Ability to create harmonic resonance.

UPDATE ON A LIFE DREAM: OCTOBER IS HERE
The reality of the journey has set in with the arrival of October. The jaguar has already begun my journey into the unknown. I’ve already imagined myself before the stairs of El Castillo pyramid making my offering of Sacred Ceremony and the prayers I will share for all of us.
I hadn’t thought much about the possibility of seeing or hearing a Quetzal bird or a Yucatan Spider Monkey. The timing close to November should offer a slight drop from the highest temperatures, and a little more potential for rain.
I’ve already followed a jaguar’s path to Ek’ Balam, imaging a place that might present itself to leave an offering for Ian Lungold. I’ve imagined the connection that could be made there.
I’ve climbed a few steps, resting near the bottom to see how I am capable to accomplish the task if I take it a few steps at a time.
I’ve already looked back from the future, from a dream I once thought could never come true for me.
I can see that a Miracle still lies beyond the Dream. I still can’t imagine what it could be. My Intention is to honor every moment and surprise in the experience as a path that was laid before me as the Divine Justice for a Deeply Held Dream of Consciousness. You have been a part of making my dream come true. much love, in lak’ech, Debra https://www.gofundme.com/life-dream-a-pilgrimage-of-spirit
