The Full Sturgeon Moon occurs Aug 27-28, 2026. The cycle represents a time of Abundance when the fish were plentiful. Shadow has been expressing his grief at the loss of his mate, Jackie. Kadee, a young female eagle has been trying to earn his affection, but he’s not ready. The web cam finds him returning to the nest and resting on the branch where Jackie always sat. We might observe him for any effects of the Lunar Eclipse. He was fiercely loyal to Jackie. Kadee has been thoughtful to keep her distance, when he rejects her attempts to be close.
SHADOW’S QUIET TIME AT BIG BEAR LAKE
Shadow is still grieving a lost that changed the landscape of his life. Kaydee tries to make friends and is thoughtful to keep her distance. He comes and goes, searching the skies for a sign of Jackie’s return. We are all mourning a loss of a life we cherished before.
