Moving Events in the Night Sky
SATURN IS EXPERIENCING THE OPPOSITION EFFECT: On Oct. 4th, Saturn will be at opposition–directly opposite the sun in the sky. Opposition does something marvelous to Saturn’s rings. It causes them to brighten dramatically.
The phenomenon is called “The Opposition Effect,” and Maximilian-Vlad Teodorescu of Magurele, Romania, caught it in action:
“The animation is made out of two images, one from August 20, the other from September 19,” explains Teodorescu. “The rings are clearly brightening ahead of next week’s opposition.”
Saturn’s rings are made of countless chunks of ice, each casting a shadow on its neighbors. When the sun, Earth, and Saturn line up at opposition, every ice chunk hides its own shadow. Saturn’s cloudy globe doesn’t do this because it has no shadows to hide.
The Opposition Effect surges in the final days before opposition. In 2005, the Hubble Space Telescope found that Saturn’s rings gained as much brightness in the last few days as they had in the previous few months. Much of that last-minute jump comes from sunlight bouncing straight back off the ice.
So get ready for a beautiful view. At opposition, Saturn rises at sunset and stays up all night long. The rings are an easy target for backyard telescopes.
STARSHIP 14 REACHES ORBIT, DEPLOYS GIANT STARLINKS: SpaceX’s Starship has finally orbited Earth. Starship 14 blasted off from Texas this morning, Monday, Sept. 28th, at 7:48 a.m. CDT and reached orbit minutes later. This was a milestone in SpaceX’s plans to travel to the Moon and Mars.
Before the first orbit was complete, the rocket deployed 26 V3 Starlink satellites. These two-ton Starlinks are giants, dwarfing their predecessors. They have roughly three times the mass of the V2 Minis that Falcon 9 rockets have been launching for years, with solar arrays that generate twice as much power.
The flight was not flawless. One of the ship’s engines failed during ascent, and SpaceX decided to bring it home early, splashing down in the northern Pacific about three hours after launch instead of ten.
Only Starship can launch these behemoths. Today’s 26 satellites add about 26 Terrabytes per second to the network–roughly ten times the capacity of a single Falcon 9 Starlink launch. Future Starships could carry as many as 60.
Giant Starlinks are hardly good for astronomy. The little ones were already interfering with deep-sky astrophotography and professional research. The big ones could be much worse.
That said, we should be alert for the trains. These big Starlinks could produce spectacular “string of pearls” displays in the evening sky while they are still in low orbit. It will take weeks for these V3s to fade as they ascend to their working orbits.
Fast-moving Auroras

Here’s a few aurora shots I harvested in the bright moonlight just before 1 am on September 25, 2026, near Delta Junction, Alaska. These lights were so brilliant and fast-moving that I had to dial down the camera exposure to a fraction of a second to freeze the action. Pareidolia is taking shape here and someone mentioned they see a saguaro cactus in the first image, and I keep seeing a cat then a dog in the next two which were photographed only 12 seconds apart. I was racing to keep up because for 20 solid minutes multidimensional auroras were racing across the whole sky and left me breathless! Thank you solar wind stream.

2 Offering/MULUC is a “moving” Day that can trigger our emotions. MULUC represents the Moon, our Emotions, and Water everywhere from the Cosmos to our tears. As the symbol of the Christ Spirit, MULUC represents a healing of our emotions on a mass scale. It’s a Day to honor and express your feelings to the One who understands. Honor the feelings of the whole. Our emotions express what “appears to be the Truth”. The Star/LAMAT trecena is our Highest Ascension that leads to 13 Sun/AHAU and a Revelation of the Truth that’s real.
There is water everywhere, and our emotions are raised with the tides. The Full Moon raises the water table on Earth as well as within the Human body. The Full Harvest Moon magnifies the effect, so close to the Equinox. Surrender your emotions in an Offering of Faith. The tides will turn in the Season of Divine Justice. As we sowed in Spring, so shall we reap. It will be turned to a blessing. We’re waiting on the high tides to turn. We’re moved by Powers Above. It’s time to prepare to set sail to a distant shore. (Are you carrying some extra weight? Are your joints swollen like mine?) Everything will be okay. Trust God through it. All Water is Holy. It will carry away what weighs on our heart and mind.
The Moon controls our fluid cycle, to clear and understand emotional issues. When you take this step to clear the emotional body, then you are ready for transformational energies at the next level.

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.
Offering/MULUC: Also known as the sign of water. Ceremonially, Maya use water as an offering in baptisms and purifications. These ceremonies are done to bring about a collective strength, adaptability and harmony. In sincere appreciation, Offering people gladly give more than they ask for themselves. Offering persons are dynamic communicators with great intelligence making them excellent employers. Like a shaken vessel of water, Offering people regain equilibrium quickly. Also like a body of water, there may be deep undercurrents of emotion and hidden dangers. Others perceive these as hidden agendas in offering people and so extend them little trust and may even slap blame on them.
