Nova Vela 0572 Taken by Eliot Herman on June 27, 2025 @ Rio Hurtado Valley, Chile – MPC X07
More to See
SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 06/28/2025 UPDATED
ANOTHER NAKED-EYE NOVA: A star exploded June 25th in the southern constellation Vela, and it is already visible to the unaided eye (magnitude +4.8). Eliot Herman photographed V572 Velorum using a robotic telescope in the Rio Hurtado Valley of Chile:
“After a long drought, this is the second bright nova discovered this month,” says Herman.
This appears to be a “classical nova.” First documented by Chinese astronomers some 2000 years ago, these explosions occur in binary star systems. White dwarf stars steal gas from a bloated partner until the stolen fuel ignites in a sudden thermonuclear blast.
Novas that you can see with your unaided eye magnitude are uncommon. Typically, they appear no more than about once a year. However, in June 2025 there have been two such novas in quick succession : First V462 Lupi and now V572 Velorum.
NOTE: We’ve been waiting for a Nova in Corona Borealis “any day now” since the end of last Summer. We were put on high alert for it the end of March 2025. Now it’s forecast for November 2025, but forecasting nova’s is harder than the local weather report.
Time and Synchronicity
The Nova in Corona Borealis will add a jewel to the Northern Crown as bright as the North Star. Only God knows when. Maybe it will bear the Sign as Number 3. T CrB is a binary star that nova’s about every 80 years. Every 80 years an old story comes to Light in the myth of woman who chose a crown of jewels and sailed away from her true love with a pirate-marauder.
The first nova, V462 Lupi, occurred as an Offering of the Dog of Unconditional Love (Constellation Lupus). The second in Constellation Vela.

The Myth Behind the Constellation Vela
Vela, “The Sails”, was part of a much larger constellation known as Argo Navis, the ship Argo. Argo was the vessel that Jason and the Argonauts sailed on during their quest for the Golden Fleece (see Aries.) In the mid-eighteenth century French astronomer Nicolas-Louis de La Caille divided this super constellation into three parts; Carina, Puppis and Vela. He also created a fourth constellation, Pyxis, using stars from part of this vast group.
The Thunder Full Moon Supermoon is a Higher Tide, and a good time to set sail to a distant horizon. The Golden Fleece was a symbol of authority and kingship that was stolen. Returning what was stolen is God’s Promise of Divine Justice. Time will tell what it means.

13 Road/EB (Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/KANU’GA) – Day 13, Ascension of the 1 Sun/AHAU trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in FREE CALCULATOR preserved on MayanMajix.com.
Galactic Tone 13: Ascension. Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Many become care takers of the poor, sick, or old people, where they may make personal sacrifices. Road is sometimes referred to as the sign of grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger. Holding in of negative emotions and unexpressed resentment can lead to illness, a poisoned opinion of others and a false bravado for this sun sign.
THIS IS A GOOD DAY TO: Do some Community Service
Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/KANU’GA: Symbolized by a rainbow, the delicate display of electromagnetic rays of the SUN. Rattlesnake Tooth is the Natal day sign of Medicine, the Shaman, the Priest, the Healer, and the Sorcerer. Guardian of the Way, Keeper of the Keys of the secret Kingdom.
