METEOR ALERT–THREE STREAMS AT ONCE: Don’t be surprised if you see a meteor tonight. Three streams of comet debris are intersecting Earth’s orbit this week, with a peak in activity expected on July 30-31.
Stream #1 is the most interesting. It’s the Alpha Capricornid stream. Parent comet: 169P/NEAT. Above is a typical “alpha Cap” observed by Brad Goldpaint in the Sierra backcountry near Independence, CA:
“The meteor explosion was so bright it briefly illuminated the entire landscape,” says Goldpaint. “You can see the persistent train in this time-lapse.”
The Alpha Capricornids are famously rich in fireballs. But that’s not why they’re so interesting. This meteor shower is going to turn into a storm.
Researchers Peter Jenniskens (SETI Institute) and Jeremie Vaubaillon (Paris Observatory) have studied the alpha Cap debris stream. They believe it resulted from a major fragmentation event ~5000 years ago when as much as half of the original comet disintegrated. Since then, the debris has been drifting toward Earth. When it arrives in ~300 years, the Alpha Caps will transform from a 5-per-hour minor shower to a storm of thousands that return year after year.
Stream #2 is a mystery. No one knows where it comes from, although 96P/Machholz is a leading suspect. The Southern Delta Aquariids (SDAs) produce as many as 20 meteors per hour every July 30th. Most are faint and swift, radiating from the constellation Aquarius.
Stream #3 is the famous one–the Perseids. The best meteor shower of the year doesn’t peak until August 12th, but we are entering the debris stream of parent comet Swift-Tuttle right now. Observers are already seeing a few every night.
The overlap of these three showers means any meteor you spot could belong to a different stream of cosmic debris. There’s a ~98% illuminated moon that’s up all night so fainter SDAs and Perseids will be washed out. This makes the fireball-rich alpha Caps the stars of this year’s 3-stream display.
Observing tips: The hours just before sunrise are best. Find a dark location, let your eyes adapt for 20 minutes, and enjoy the show!

CHANCE OF MAGNETIC STORMS: NOAA analysts say there is a 25% to 30% chance of G1-class geomagnetic storms on July 30-31 in response to glancing blows from CMEs. Auroras may be hard to see because of the full Moon.
Where is the Sun on its Path through the Sky?
The Sun’s Analemma is the path is makes in the sky, marking its Highest Positions through the Solar Year. It is revealed by taking a picture of the Sun at the Zenith Hour from the Same Time and Place through each of the 52 weeks of the Year.
The Sun reaches it’s Highest Extreme at the Summer Solstice. The path crosses itself at the Spring Equinox (March 20, 2026) leading to its peak position, and again at the Fall Equinox (September 22, 2026). At the cross is the One Place it appears twice in the same Time and Place.
The Sun appears in its closest place to Earth during the Winter Solstice. At the same Time the Earth is reaching Perihelion, it’s nearest position to the Sun.
The Sun has been drawing us closer to the Cross since the Summer Solstice. We’ll reach the cross again in the Season of a Harvest of Light.
In 2026 the Harvest Moon rises September 26, 2026 (16:48 UTC, 12:49 p.m. EDT; 9:49 a.m. PDT). The Harvest Moon is always the Full Moon that occurs nearest to the Fall Equinox.
The Harvest Moon is the Time when the Abundance of the Seed is revealed. If we planted the incorruptible Seed of Christ’s Compassionate Love, “as we Sowed, so shall we reap” a Divine Harvest.
The Jewish Month of Elul
In 2026 (Hebrew year 5786), the month of Elul begins at sundown on Wednesday, August 12, and runs through sunset on Friday, September 11.
Elul is the 12th and final month in the Jewish calendar (the sixth month counting from Nisan). Leading up to the High Holidays, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, it is a month that connects the past year with the coming year—a time when we reflect on where we stand and where we should be going.
Elul is called the month when “The King is in the Field”. The Lord is always with us. When the King is in the Field, the Son is Seen and Acknowledged. The Truth is revealed that the Lord of our Salvation is Source of every Blessing.
The King enters our field of vision on August 12, 2026. God “blows the Shofar horn” at the closing of the Lion’s Gate. The choice we make to Forgive will reveal its Sacred Exchange in the future. On August 12, 2026, 6 Planets are Aligned with Earth (the 7th); a Solar Eclipse brings an End and New Beginning of Solar Light, and the colored Lights of 3 Meteor Showers converge as One Storm of Light.
We’re still waiting on the T CrB Nova that’s been forecast to explode “any day now” for nearly 2 years. When it does, Star T CrB will complete the Lights in the Northern Crown (Corona Borealis). Once in about every 80 years when T CRB novas, it becomes as bright as the Northern Star.
Only God knows the Time. Faith is the offering of Love that is promised in Sacred Exchange for All Time.

The Lord reveals himself through every Synchronicity of Time. The Milky Way is the Sacred Road “where the dog ran” to carry our Souls to Heaven. At the Heliacal Rising of Sirius above Earth’s horizon the Dog Star appears to lead us home.

Galactic tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of divine will. With a keen sense of ethics, seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.
Offering/MULUC: Also known as the sign of water. Ceremonially, Maya use water as an offering in baptisms and purifications. These ceremonies are done to bring about a collective strength, adaptability and harmony. In sincere appreciation, Offering people gladly give more than they ask for themselves. Offering persons are dynamic communicators with great intelligence making them excellent employers. Like a shaken vessel of water, Offering people regain equilibrium quickly. Also like a body of water, there may be deep undercurrents of emotion and hidden dangers. Others perceive these as hidden agendas in offering people and so extend them little trust and may even slap blame on them.
A GOOD DAY TO: Offer appreciation for all of creation.
Cherokee, The River/YUN’WI GUNNAHI’TA: The River is symbolized by The Milky Way, the Gihli’Utsun’stanun’yi “Where the Dog Ran” to gather the souls for Heaven. The River is the minion for Grandfather Moon. Long Man is the personification of the River stretching from the mountains to the lowlands, speaking to those who can understand. People of this sign find “sermons in the stones” and good in everything. These souls march to a different drummer, driven by inner volcanic forces. The River is the “Fountain of Life” and represents the fluid of the cosmos to fluids in the body, with the energy to clear all karmic debts, personally and on a mass level with fluidity and grace. The Moon controls our fluid cycle, to clear and understand emotional issues. When you take this step to clear the emotional body, then you are ready for transformational energies at the next level. As humans, our actions are ruled by our emotions, the key is to understand the connection and honor the emotions.
