The Retrograde Planets: A Divine Resource for Retrospection

NASA’s best images of all the planets in the solar system

Seed/KAN offers the vision to see clearly the conditions that are right to carry our Dreams to Higher Ground

Sometimes we need to step back to get a clearer vision of the Wisdom of our own Experience. The planets in retrograde motion offer the Time to see again, where we’ve been, and who we’ve been, to know where what we’re aiming for in the future. By our Human Nature, we hate to wait when we’re held back from “full steam ahead.” No Time is ever lost. There’s a Divine Meaning for every purpose. We’ll more than make up the Time when we know we’re headed to the place where we were intended to be. The retrograde energies reflect a time to Re-think, Re-evaluate, and Re-store our Faith in the future, so we can be the Dreamer that believes in the Dream. The darkness of the Unknown is just the Truth we’ve failed to look to see.

We were born to a Time and Place.

Seed/KAN offers a gift of retrospection. It’s a  perfect time to revisit the meaning of the retrograde planets to see what we’re learning, and the changes we’ve already made that will change the future. Below are the list of planets that have been, and are still in retrograde motion. While you’re taking a thorough look at who you are and what you’re intended to be, consider what you’ve been learning from the experience at hand, and what you know you’ve already changed to see where they will lead you in the future. In case you’ve felt “stuck” lately, there’s a good reason why. Retrogrades ask us to stop moving long enough to see where we’re going and where we’ve been. Pluto Retrograde: May 1 – October 11, 2023 Disassembling our pieces and parts to “know thyself” and putting our whole-self back together again. It’s time to embrace the dark and the light within our self, to know how we can maintain the balance. (An old-self will be put to bed by the Annular Solar Eclipse.) Neptune Retrograde: June 30 – December 6, 2023 Separating fact from fiction to rid our self of illusions, self-defeating beliefs, and distractions for a clearer perspective of the truth. We’re getting a better picture of where we’ve been deceived by the world, and how we’ve been deceiving ourself. (This is a source of shadow work, facing Truth we haven’t wanted to see. When we are willing to see the truth and nothing but the truth, we’re set free of all those lingering questions on our mind.) Saturn Retrograde: June 17 – November 4, 2023 A rest and retreat that allows time for change to occur for the work that is to come. Stationed in Pisces for the first time in 27 years, it’s stabilizing a transition of our Faith and what we believe. Is your Faith growing stronger? Consider how that will pay off in the long run. Venus Retrograde: July 22 – September 3, 2023 A review of what matters to us, choosing what we love and all we see that is beautiful in our life. Do you have a clearer picture of what you want, and what you don’t want? Have you been naturally prone to let go of what no longer serves? (I’ve clearly seen what I don’t want. Have you?) Venus (not Jupiter as previously posted below) embarked on it’s new 8 year cycle that completes its orbital pattern of Beauty.

This illustration shows what’s called the 5 petals of Venus. It shows a simplified geocentric – Earth-centered – plot of the orbit of Venus over 8 years, from 2016 to 2023.

Chiron Retrograde: July 23 – December 26, 2023 Rediscovering the nature of our deepest wounds, when and where you sustained them. (More shadow work.) They can serve as our greatest blessing to the world as the experiences that raise the Gift of Compassion to support the healing of others. Chiron represents a divine purpose for all we’ve suffered. By Christmas, we’ll know the Light that’s ours to share  with the world. Mercury Retrograde: August 23 – September 15, 2023 Revisiting how we communicate and move in the world. Have you seen the ways you’ve been misunderstood by the way you communicate to others, and clearly see what others are saying to you through their words and actions. The benefit of postponing contracts during this time is to clearly see what both sides get from the bargain. (Have you seen where you were getting the short end of the stick? Or, where you’ve left the wrong impression of who you are? Our self-depreciating ways of Love may have needed an adjustment to restore the balance of Right Relationship.) Uranus Retrograde: August 28 – January 27, 2024 Revisiting who we are and where we experience our greatest sense of belonging. The “long-journey” is still underway to the end of knowing the perfect place where we belong. It’s worth the time to know. Jupiter Retrograde: September 4 – December 31, 2023 Jupiter is lucky, even when it’s retrograde. Revisit the work you have already invested that’s about to pay off. Invest more in the work where you want to see a payoff in the future. (The sky is the limit with Jupiter.) Jupiter just began a new 8-year cycle. (It’s acutally VENUS that just began a new 8-year cycle.) Jupiter has a 12-year cycle. On April 22nd, 2023, Jupiter has transitioned from Pisces to Aries, marking a powerful shift in different aspects of our lives. As one of the largest planets in our solar system and the ruler of abundance and growth, Jupiter’s movement can have a significant impact on our goals and values. (Google) We completed the 9th uinal that taught us that Patience is a Virtue for the Time to see the Big Picture of the ends we can reach when we are supported by the Hand of Divine Agency. I don’t profess to be an astrologer, but my Eagle/MEN ways are good for boiling things down to the basics. You can search on any of the planets in retrograde for a deeper dive into the places where they reside as an influence to the whole by their placement in the constellations, and where they may be positioned in your own chart by the houses where they fall. The Truth that matters most is your own discernment of “what it means” that comes directly to you from the Light of Spirit. The more you look to see for yourself, the more you will remember the Truth of the experience. It’s the Year of the Rabbit. When we focus on our Life as an “object of affection” the blessings will be multiplied to abundance in the Instant “we Know.” Venus has already completed a new picture of the Truth of our Heart’s Desire. love, in lak’ech, i am another you Debra, 9 Eagle/MEN
THE TRECENA OF NIGHT/AKBAL: DREAMS MEANT TO BE MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL 2 Seed/KAN (kahn), Cherokee, Dragon/UKTE’NA O’STO, Destiny Kin 184, Position 4 September  19, 2023, 09/19/2023

THE TRECENA OF NIGHT/AKBAL: A Higher Dream we Know is Meant to come True

Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide Page for the “Tzolk’in Field Guide: A Daily Practice for Personal Discernment.” My gift for the Tzolk’in round offers an overview for each 13-day trecena and the aspects of each day of the Tzolk’in round. The page also offers a link to resources for your own practice of counting the days to conceive your own discernment of the Meaning of Time. NEW SEASON – VOLUME 2: Tzolk’in Seasons 3 and 4 (PUBLISHED SEPTEMBER 20, 2020) NOTE: You can also look at dates from a different direction. What is the Destiny Kin number of your day sign’s 3rd tone? You may have overlooked a life-changing day. Use the Kin Calculator offered on the Daykeeper’s Resource Page for a date six years before or after. If you are just starting to count the days and don’t have a journal from the last round, when something major happens in your life you can look to see if there was a major event on that same date before. You can also look for Signs in the “distance of time” – the number of days between one day and another, from the Time and Date Calculator linked on the resources page. Example – 33 days is a symbol of a day that you actualize the Truth from the beginning date.

2 Seed/KAN (Cherokee, Dragon/UKTE’NA)  – Day 2 of 13 of the 1 Night/AKBAL trecena.

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number. Seed/KAN: Family, sexual activity and the magic of germination are the characteristics of this sun sign. Natural net workers, Seed people strive to free themselves and others from debt or oppressive patterns of the past. Abundance is gathered by Seeds as if with a cast net. Seed persons are public defenders by discovering hidden traps and secret influences of others. To generate true abundance, Seed must learn to appreciate all gifts and lessons received and conduct profound investigations into its self. In the absence of gratefulness and the courage to face oneself, Seed finds itself in less and less fertile environments. A GOOD DAY TO: Plant, make new contacts and re-new connections with others. Cherokee, Dragon/UKTE’NA  O’STO: Dragon’s symbol is Draco winding between the Little Dipper and Big Dipper. Dragon is the Corn Spirit, symbol of dual personality of Corn Mother and Maiden. Fertility and pro-creation from generation to generation. The word dragon means ” eye, to look at, to see clearly”. Spirit brings energy of Lawgiver, Justice, vigilance and protective, loyal unto death. Ley lines in China are “dragon lines”, energy is sometimes called “orgone energy”, pyramid power or magnetic force. Pyramids and kivas are collector portals for this energy, known as vortexes. Dragon energy beats a path everywhere, stirring things up with a big stick in tune with the beat of the drum, heartbeat of the Earth. Totem-Lizard. You enter carrying a heavy net of karmic debts, this energy helps you make amends to your self and others, dissolve debts, power of growth. The Lizard symbolizes wild sexual passions that you must balance.
