First Witness of Lunar Meteors and Solar Eclipse from the Farside

Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin was the first human in space, making a historic 108-minute orbital flight on April 12, 1961. Alan Shepard was the first American in space on May 5, 1961. Within the span of 23 Days Human’s Highest Aspirations were seen within our grasp. Twice was the proof it will happen again.

A METEOR SHOWER ON THE MOON (UPDATED): The crew of Artemis II were giddy (their words!) on the evening of April 6th when they witnessed explosions on the lunar surface. Meteoroids were hitting the Moon. “We saw at least five,” reported mission commander Reid Wiseman. In mission control, scientists were overheard shouting in delight.

The lunar meteors appeared in middle of a solar eclipse. About 90 minutes after the crew made their closest approach to the farside of the Moon, the sun disappeared behind the lunar disk. They witnessed the first solar eclipse ever seen by humans from behind the Moon.

During the hour-long eclipse, the sun’s corona was visible “at least 10 solar diameters [beyond the lunar limb],” according to Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen. This allowed mission specialist Christina Koch to photograph mountains and other topography silhouetted by the sun’s atmosphere along a wide arc of the Moon’s edge.

The meteors were a complete surprise. “We’re seeing them near the Moon’s equator,” reported Wiseman during the live webcast. Later, his crewmate Victor Glover spotted one near the Moon’s South Pole. All of them appeared as bright flashes of light on the lunar surface.

Lunar meteors are different than Earth meteors. Here on Earth, meteoroids burn up in the atmosphere. On the airless Moon, they slam directly into the surface. NASA has been monitoring these impacts since 2006, logging about 20 per year on average. The crew of Artemis II saw 5 or 6 in about 30 minutes.

The Moon was mostly but not completely dark during the meteor shower. The soft blue-tinged glow of Earth itself was cast across the lunar terrain. “The Earthshine is unreal,” reported Glover. “Humans have not evolved to see what we are seeing. It’s hard to describe”

The crew downloaded their photos to Earth overnight, and some of them were discussed during NASA’s April 7th press conference. No photos of meteor strikes were shared, possibly because there is none. Sometimes the human eye is the best detector. The science team is still sorting through 50 GB of images. Stay tuned!

JUST RELEASED: ARTEMIS II LUNAR FLY-BY GALLERY

The first flyby images of the Moon captured by NASA’s Artemis II astronauts during their historic test flight reveal regions no human has ever seen before—including a rare in-space solar eclipse. Released Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the photos were taken on April 6 during the crew’s seven‑hour pass over the lunar far side, marking humanity’s return to the Moon’s vicinity.

Experiences we share as One leave a mark, especially when there is blood to pay. We all have to see the same thing at the same time, to agree as One. Only God’s Word could fulfill that end.

“The Earthshine is unreal,” reported Glover. “Humans have not evolved to see what we are seeing. It’s hard to describe”

Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.

Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth. Due to the Eagles superior point of view and keen intelligence, they achieve material abundance and good fortune. A messenger gifted with patience and a deep sense of value, Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit. Eagle persons are very detail oriented and technically inclined. Compassionate service to others sustains prosperity for Eagle personas as the flapping of wings would sustain their bird brothers. If Eagle becomes viciously competitive or possessive, greed and jealousy cause a fall from the heights. Eagles, being blessed with freedom of movement, should be aware of escapism. Eagles may be tempted to just fly away from troubles by using indulgences.

A GOOD DAY TO: Ascend to a Higher Perspective

Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI: Eagle’s symbol is Mars the Spirit Warrior. He is a minion of Grandfather Moon. Eagles were the warrior society, the braves the protectors of the nation. Women were included. There was no discrimination which is reflected in the language: third person singular is divided into animate, human and animate, not human instead of he and she. The energy of high hopes and anticipations, dreams and visions, cosmic consciousness and commitment. On earth, a provider of excellence, leader, husbandry, care-taking of others, financial security and inheritance.
