Solar winds blowing faster than 700 km/s (1.6 million mph)
SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 09/16/2025
THE SUN IS BLOWING A GALE: Earth is inside a stream of solar wind blowing faster than 700 km/s (1.6 million mph). The gale is blowing from a large butterfly-shaped hole in the sun’s atmosphere–and it’s potent. First contact with the stream on Sept. 14th sparked auroras in more than a dozen US states from Alaska to Arizona. (Here’s a nice video from Colorado.)
“Let’s talk about last night,” says Ray Majoran of London, Ontario. “I certainly wasn’t expecting that!” Here is what he saw in the countryside 20 minutes north of London:
“My friend Ken and I traipsed through dirt and ditches to find some interesting foregrounds,” he says. “I only face-planted in the dark twice — once in a field, and another when I underestimated the depth of a ditch. All worth it though!”
Normally, a solar wind stream like this might cause no more than a minor G1-class storm. In this case, the storm was amplified to category G3 by the “Russell-McPherron effect,” which links the magnetic field of the sun to the magnetic field of Earth during weeks around equinoxes. We can expect more of these “equinox storms” from now through mid-October.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity
The trecena of Monkey/CHUEN is a cycle of Incoming Light of Divine Inspiration. The Maya refer to this trecena as our own recreation of the world. The Truth of our Reality can change overnight. Tone 2 poses the question, “to be or not to be.” 2 Road/EB marks a crossroad, the Day a Healing begins from an experience of Collective Consciousness. This is a Day to look for the Signs of Transformation. We could have witnessed the Truth before, yet it’s as if we are seeing it for the first time.
It could be headline news on the world stage. Or, it could be a Sign from Above. Whatever the news may be, we’ll remember the day as a turning point. Road/EB is called Grass by the Aztec Calendar. It symbolizes the perennial nature of the Human Spirit. This is a good day for the oppressed and a bad day for the oppressor.
The Cherokee Day sign for Road/EB is the Rattlesnake Tooth/KANU’GA, an implement of Spiritual Medicine. Rattlesnake Tooth is Symbolized by a rainbow, the delicate display of electromagnetic rays of the SUN.

TRECENA OF MONKEY/CHUEN: THE DAWN OF OUR CREATION
The “Tzolk’in Field Guide” is my gift to download that includes the Count of Days with the aspects for each Destiny Kin and highlights for a personal practice with each trecena. It’s designed as a companion for daily practice.
It only takes 13 days to see how Faith is always raised to Knowing the Truth of Answered Prayers. You only have to track your thoughts. Record the matters on your mind in a journal to see how your perspective is changed by a Divine Order of Thoughts.
Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide. to download a free copy. Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in, and Volume 2 covers the 3rd and 4th to the end of the Tzolk’in round.
Monkey/CHUEN is the first trecena in the 3rd Season of the Tzolk’in round, found in Volume 2.
NOTE: Tone 1 reflects the 1st Light of Divine Inspiration as the “legend” of this chapter of Time. If you forget where you are, return to Tone 1 to see the “First Light” of Divine Inspiration. You can use the Tzolk’in calculator to gain insight on any date in the future or the past.
2 Road/EB (Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/KANU’GA) – Day 2 of 13, the 1 Monkey/CHUEN trecena of Creation
CORE DAYS: The 7th Uinal of the Tzolk’in represent the center column of 20-days, which carry the Intention of Balancing. In the Center we are returned to Unity. Our discernment of duality comes into balance. The Maya believed this to be the axis mundi – the center of the world that connects Heaven and Earth, where the four directions meet; where communication from lower realms may ascend to higher ones and blessings from higher realms may descend to the lower realm and disseminated to all. The Core Days may be experienced as a time of personal mystery where the crystalline structure is formed with the wings to fly.
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), who’s wisdom and Tzolk’in date calculator is preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.
Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Many become care takers of the poor, sick, or old people, where they may make personal sacrifices. Road is sometimes referred to as the sign of grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger. Holding in of negative emotions and unexpressed resentment can lead to illness, a poisoned opinion of others and a false bravado for this sun sign.
A GOOD DAY TO: Do some community service.
Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/KANU’GA: Symbolized by a rainbow, the delicate display of electromagnetic rays of the SUN. Rattlesnake Tooth is the Natal day sign of Medicine, the Shaman, the Priest, the Healer, and the Sorcerer. Guardian of the Way, Keeper of the Keys of the secret Kingdom.
