THE TRECENA OF REED/BEN: CONNECTING THE CIRCLE OF LIFE
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
5 Earth/CABAN (ka ‘bahn), Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI, Destiny Kin 57
March 20, 2026, 03/20/2026; Times Before: 07/03/2025, 10/16/2024, 01/30/2024, 05/15/2023
Greetings Beloved Kin,
This Time, 5 Earth/CABAN, representing Unseen Forces of Nature occurs on the Day of Earth’s point of Highest Attraction to the Sun. Our internal GPS is recalibrated to True North.
CABAN is the “Clarion Call” that begins every Great Migration on Earth. By the Order of Creation on the Human calendar, we’re still the caterpillar that can’t imagine it’s a butterfly. We do what caterpillars do,
Caterpillars prepare for the chrysalis by eating excessively to store energy, then finding a secure location to hang upside down. Google
We’re taking in the Light of Revelation through an Intention to take Sanctuary at an altar within. We’ll be wrapped in our cocoon of Divine Protection. In the meantime, we’re taking in the Light of Truth in perfect position to receive it.
5 is the Intention of Empowerment, the value of a Hand. The Equinox connects the electromagnet poles to Empower Human’s Hand for the Journey to Realize what we Dreamed to be.
2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
One thing we can rely on, a Divine Provision for every Human limitation. I over-baked the Irish Soda Bread, and my Colcannon flopped. Suddenly I had a new appetite for humus antipasto. God can change a leaning overnight.
The symbols on the glyph represent 3 angles of Divine Discernment: 1) Linear reason, the objective thought of reason “what it is”; 2) We turn a thought of Reason around in circles when we try to figure out “what it means”; 3) The rising circles are thoughts outside of our realm of understanding that attract us to the Source of an Unseen Power Above.
CABAN is a Clarion Call that awakens cellular memories. It can be something we always wanted to do, or a place we wanted to go. We were created just “to be” following Divine Orders cover our Watch of the Day.
The Aztec Ollin, known as CABAN in Maya) is an auspicious day for movement. All our preconceived notions can be shattered like an earthquake – just to find, an illusion was shattered, and reality is way better.
It’s a peak Time to be physically grounded on Earth. The Body remembers a pure vibration. The Aztec call it the Day of the Purified Heart, and the Sign that it’s Time to Live with all our Heart. The Season is here to feast on the Beauty of the Signs of Life, and the first harvests of Spring.
Easter is the First Sunday to follow the First Full Moon, after the Vernal Equinox. Both hemisphere’s are aligned with the Time defined by the Resurrection of Spirit. Reed/BEN burns the flesh away to open the channel of the “hollow bone” an open line for the Communion of Spirit.
Isaiah 43:19 KJV
19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
We’re likely to be called to prepare for something we know is just around the corner. Migration begins from a Clarion Call to green pastures. The Equinox is a peak Time to be physically grounded between Heaven and Earth.
Time by the Christian Calendar – A Test of Faith
March 20, 2026, Friday of the Fourth Week of Lent, Lectionary: 248
Reading 1, Wisdom 2:1a, 12-22
The wicked said among themselves,
thinking not aright:
“Let us beset the just one, because he is obnoxious to us;
he sets himself against our doings,
Reproaches us for transgressions of the law
and charges us with violations of our training.
He professes to have knowledge of God
and styles himself a child of the LORD.
To us he is the censure of our thoughts;
merely to see him is a hardship for us,
Because his life is not like that of others,
and different are his ways.
He judges us debased;
he holds aloof from our paths as from things impure.
He calls blest the destiny of the just
and boasts that God is his Father.
Let us see whether his words be true;
let us find out what will happen to him.
For if the just one be the son of God, he will defend him
and deliver him from the hand of his foes.
With revilement and torture let us put him to the test
that we may have proof of his gentleness
and try his patience.
Let us condemn him to a shameful death;
for according to his own words, God will take care of him.”
These were their thoughts, but they erred;
for their wickedness blinded them,
and they knew not the hidden counsels of God;
neither did they count on a recompense of holiness
nor discern the innocent souls’ reward.
Responsorial Psalm, Psalm 34:17-18, 19-20, 21 and 23
R. (19a) The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.
The LORD confronts the evildoers,
to destroy remembrance of them from the earth.
When the just cry out, the LORD hears them,
and from all their distress he rescues them.
R. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted;
and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.
Many are the troubles of the just man,
but out of them all the LORD delivers him.
R. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.
He watches over all his bones;
not one of them shall be broken.
The LORD redeems the lives of his servants;
no one incurs guilt who takes refuge in him.
R. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.

PRAYERS FROM THE FIRST WATCH – PRAYERS OF FOUNDATIONAL TRUTH
The next time you’re drawn to Pray, refer to the 8 Watches by the Time of Day. The Bible refers to Watchers from Above (‘iyr in Hebrew) in Daniel 4:13, 17, 23. We’re called to our prayers by high-ranking angelic beings sent from heaven to observe and execute divine decrees. The Time of the Watch reveals the reason you were called to pray.
Matthew 26:53 KJV
53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
THE EIGHT WATCHES
Night Watch
- First Watch: 6 pm – 9 pm – Contemplation and laying foundations in prayer.
- Second Watch: 9 pm – 12 am – Intercessory prayer for protection of ourselves and those around us
- Third Watch: 12 am – 3 am – Spiritual warfare (We are covered by the blood of Jesus.)
- Fourth Watch: 3 am – 6 am – Prophetic prayer because you are commanding your morning with prophetic decrees and declaring God’s word
Day Watch
- Fifth Watch: 6 am – 9 am – Petitions. Ask for strength and surrender. Ask for the Holy Spirit to help you before you start your day
- Sixth Watch: 9 am – 12 pm – Thanksgiving prayer
- Seventh Watch : 12 pm – 3 pm – This is the seventh watch of rest. 7 Biblically represents that. This is a time to seek God in the secret place
- Eighth Watch: 3 pm – 6 pm – This is the eight and final watch of the night and a time for prayer for revival and renewal. Symbolically, Christ died at 3 pm.

5 Earth/CABAN (Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI) – Day 5 of 13 of the 1 Reed/BEN trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in FREE CALCULATOR preserved on MayanMajix.com.
Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.
Earth/Caban: Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.
In a Sanctuary within, we can Express how we really feel. Reed/BEN is teaching us to turn to a Sanctuary for everything.

Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement, of perpetual motion, recycling, regeneration; environmentalists fighting for the underdog. Heron is mentally alert, rational, yet opinionated; has a great faith in people and in the divine plan, holding the magic of ministry, medicine, marketing and matchmaking; healing abilities, especially with crystals; negotiation and mediation energy. Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way. “The Northern Cross is the Tree of Life, Beside the Milky Way River & Perched atop is Guwi’ sguwi, the Cherokee Heron Spirit Bird, comparable to the Egyptian Phoenix. One Myth has it that a Beautiful Young Maiden (the Heron Spirit Bird) fell from the Tree of Life in the Sky Vault, & Found no Place to Land on the Primordial Sea. Turtle came to the Surface of the Water & gave her a Place to Land. She nested & Laid her Cosmic Egg, From which came all Life on Earth.” (Cherokee Astrology: Animal, Medicine in the Stars, Raven Hall)
