Lost Treasures
I’ve been searching for details from Friends of Big Bear Valley to confirm the news. Today I found the confirmation of their lost treasure.
A raven breached the nest and eggs on 1/30/26. A crack was spotted in the eggs prior to that. Jackie and Shadow were off and away from the nest for a period of time. Jackie and Shadow have slowly begun to withdraw. (Source: FOBBV Live Recaps and Observations)
Jackie and Shadow need time for healing. They took 3 Days to heal from the loss of an eaglet last season. A few days ago, Jackie was sitting on what looked like a broken egg shell. It took time to accept the loss. May we remember them in our prayers, and watch and wait to see what God’s will shall be. (May we give our self 3 Days when we’re faced with a challenge of Faith.)
Video Description and Update:
Less than ten minutes after the heartbreaking loss of Jackie and Shadow’s two precious eggs two days ago, Jackie returned to the nest to incubate… and that’s where she remained through the night.
Before leaving the nest for a break yesterday morning, she called out to Shadow. When he arrived, he looked around as if something was not quite right.
He rearranged some fluff and laid down. He was there almost an hour when he heard Jackie’s chortles again. He instantly flew off to meet her. Their mating vocals were heard, followed by a somewhat long and spirited conversation.
A few minutes later, Jackie returned to the nest and laid down, staying for three hours. After she left, Shadow landed on the back porch, climbed down, and laid in the nest for forty minutes. He moved a piece of one of the eggshells to the side of the bowl and partially covered it over with nesting material.
In the afternoon, while Jackie was in the nest, she called Shadow to help with a noisy raven. Shadow landed in the basement and with their presence and vocals, they silenced the raven. Soon after, Shadow must have worked up an appetite so he caught himself a fish and had lunch on the nest.
The ravens were vocal again throughout the day but Jackie and Shadow were vigilant to protect the nest. Even though there are no longer any physical eggs to incubate or to roll, they both spent time laying in the nest, since their hormones are still triggering them to do so.
So what’s next? Jackie and Shadow will slowly begin to withdraw from incubation and take extended breaks. When we see this begin to occur, the door may open for them to begin a replacement clutch. Jackie is fertile into April, but since hormones and timing are key, there are still no guarantees.
All we can do now is watch and wait. The days ahead will be very pivotal in determining if and when they are ready to move on and start over. The nest is already prepared for eggs so that’s a plus.
As we continue to learn about wildlife together and see the resilience of Jackie and Shadow once again, we can also look forward with a hope that there may be precious eggs in the nest again soon.
Time will tell…

THE TRECENA OF CROCODILE/IMIX: DAWN OF A NEW AWAKENING

It only takes 13 days to see how Faith is always raised to Knowing the Truth of Answered Prayers. We only have to track your thoughts to See how our perspective is changed by a Divine Order of Thoughts.
The first trecena of the Tzolk’in is the Legend of the Truth we will realize in the end.

Galactic Tone 12: Understanding. This number’s energy is a gift of great capability, of retrospection. It is this ability that allows Twelve to connect disassociated parts into a (new) functioning whole. The energy of Twelve is that which presents a new piece of understood information or accumulated experience to be applied.
Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Many become care takers of the poor, sick, or old people, where they may make personal sacrifices. Road is sometimes referred to as the sign of grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger. Holding in of negative emotions and unexpressed resentment can lead to illness, a poisoned opinion of others and a false bravado for this sun sign.
A GOOD DAY TO: Do some Community Service.
Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/KANU’GA: Symbolized by a rainbow, the delicate display of electromagnetic rays of the SUN. Rattlesnake Tooth is the Natal day sign of Medicine, the Priest, the Healer, the Guardian of the Way, and Keeper of the Keys of the secret Kingdom.
