Invincible Power: The Day of Pentecost (5 Wind/IK)

The Hour and the Day of the Lord

The Sunday of Pentecost marks the fulfillment of a prophecy. Time is ordered for a Vigil of Light.

Joel 3:1-5 – The Day of the Lord

1 It shall come to pass. I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.

2 Even upon your male and female servants, in those days, I will pour out my spirit.

3 I will set signs in the heavens and on the earth, blood, fire, and columns of smoke;

4 The sun will darken, the moon turn blood-red,
before the day of the LORD arrives, that great and terrible day.

5 Then everyone who calls upon the name of the LORD will escape harm.
For on Mount Zion there will be a remnant, as the LORD has said,
And in Jerusalem survivors whom the LORD will summon.

The Sunday of Pentecost Sunday marks the fulfillment of a a prophecy of the Word. The Time is ordered for a Vigil of Light. The Lectionary of the Christian Calendar recounts the verses that repeat the promise, so we can turn to the Word through the hours of the Day.

The Maya compared the Word to the Power of a Hurricane. Wind/IK holds the Power of an Act of God.

Christian Calendar: Word of the Day [Excerpts from the First Reading]

Pentecost Sunday – Vigil Mass, Lectionary: 62

1st Reading (2), Ezekiel 37:1-14

The hand of the LORD came upon me,
and he led me out in the spirit of the LORD
and set me in the center of the plain,
which was now filled with bones.
He made me walk among the bones in every direction
so that I saw how many they were on the surface of the plain.
How dry they were!

He asked me:
Son of man, can these bones come to life?
I answered, “Lord GOD, you alone know that.”

Then he said to me:
Prophesy over these bones, and say to them:
Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!

Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones:
See! I will bring spirit into you, that you may come to life.
I will put sinews upon you, make flesh grow over you,
cover you with skin, and put spirit in you
so that you may come to life and know that I am the LORD.
I, Ezekiel, prophesied as I had been told,
and even as I was prophesying I heard a noise;
it was a rattling as the bones came together, bone joining bone.
I saw the sinews and the flesh come upon them,
and the skin cover them, but there was no spirit in them.

Then the LORD said to me:
Prophesy to the spirit, prophesy, son of man,
and say to the spirit: Thus says the Lord GOD:
From the four winds come, O spirit,
and breathe into these slain that they may come to life.
I prophesied as he told me, and the spirit came into them;
they came alive and stood upright, a vast army.

Then he said to me:
Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel.
They have been saying,
“Our bones are dried up,
our hope is lost, and we are cut off.”

Therefore, prophesy and say to them: Thus says the Lord GOD:
O my people, I will open your graves
and have you rise from them,
and bring you back to the land of Israel.
Then you shall know that I am the LORD,
when I open your graves and have you rise from them,
O my people!
I will put my spirit in you that you may live,
and I will settle you upon your land;
thus you shall know that I am the LORD.
I have promised, and I will do it, says the LORD.

Joel 3:1-5

Thus says the LORD:
I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh.
Your sons and daughters shall prophesy,
your old men shall dream dreams,
your young men shall see visions;
even upon the servants and the handmaids,
in those days, I will pour out my spirit.
And I will work wonders in the heavens and on the earth,
blood, fire, and columns of smoke;
the sun will be turned to darkness,
and the moon to blood,
at the coming of the day of the LORD,
the great and terrible day.

Then everyone shall be rescued
who calls on the name of the LORD;
for on Mount Zion there shall be a remnant,
as the LORD has said,
and in Jerusalem survivors
whom the LORD shall call.

Responsorial Psalm, Psalm 104:1-2, 24, 35, 27-28, 29, 30

R. Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.
Bless the LORD, O my soul!
O LORD, my God, you are great indeed!
You are clothed with majesty and glory,
robed in light as with a cloak.
R. Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.
How manifold are your works, O LORD!
In wisdom you have wrought them all —
the earth is full of your creatures;
bless the LORD, O my soul! Alleluia.
R. Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.
Creatures all look to you
to give them food in due time.
When you give it to them, they gather it;
when you open your hand, they are filled with good things.
R. Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.
If you take away their breath, they perish
and return to their dust.
When you send forth your spirit, they are created,
and you renew the face of the earth.
R. Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.

THE TRECENA OF FLINT/ETZNAB: TRUTH AND LOVE THAT SETS US FREE
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

Greetings Beloved Kin,

Wind/IK represents the Power of the Word to complete the end. The 5th Hour hold the Intention of Empowerment. 5 represents the Center of the cube, as a central and organizing force that maintains resources of Power to be applied to their highest end. 5 is the value of One Hand  of the Master of All.

Psalm 104:28 NIV
28 When you give it to them, they gather it up;
when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things.

In the 5th Hour of Light the Maya saw that they all gathered the tools and materials before they began “the work” of the Creation. When we gather the ingredients for a recipe first, we know we can complete the task.

We don’t have to follow the Divine Inspiration. Though, when we are making a birthday cake for someone we love, we follow. The Higher Purpose of the Intention is to “know we can”.

Algiz – The Tree of Life

In the Haab Year of 2 Deer/MANIK the creation is to become a leader, dedicated to a daily practice of Vigilance on behalf of the whole. MANIK is the destiny of the Mayan priest.

In the ancient language of the ruins, Aljiz represents the one who reaches for the Power Above. The Truth unseen CAN be seen between the lines. All the angles point directly to the heart.

On the Day of Pentecost we are called to a Vigil to read between the lines of the Word, to the prophecy of the Word that is repeated from the beginning to the end.

The glyph that illustrates the “T” represents the Sound of the Creator’s Breath of Creation. The portals carved in stone, direct the eyes to see, and magnify the Sound of the Wind. The Breath of Life and Spirit is still spoken in the Wind of every breath we take.

On the Day of Pentecost, for those who call upon the Lord, eyes will be opened, and ears are open to hear. The Truth of the Word is the Central Resource of Light by which we can accomplish Miracles in the Name of the Lord.

May we reach with open hands to receive the Light. God’s Word shall be fulfilled. May our arms be opened wide to receive the living water that overflows.

Keep watch throughout the hours of the Day. The Truth is at hand. By the Power of the Holy Spirit, we will know that God’s Will Shall Be. May we declare the Word of the Lord in Divine Trinity, calling upon the Lord for living water to bring us all back to life.

Filled with the Light of the Holy Spirit, the Apostles could speak the Word with the Power of an Act of God.

Then the LORD said to me:
Prophesy to the spirit, prophesy, son of man,
and say to the spirit: Thus says the Lord GOD:
From the four winds come, O spirit,
and breathe into these slain that they may come to life.
I prophesied as he told me, and the spirit came into them;
they came alive and stood upright, a vast army. ~ Ezekiel 37:1-14

with all my love, in lak’ech, “i am another you”

Mark 13:33 KJV
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

PRAYERS FROM THE THIRD WATCH – SPIRITUAL WARFARE
(I wondered why I was called to write this early in the evening, instead of late at night.)

The next time you’re drawn to Pray, refer to the 8 Watches by the Time of Day, AFTER. The Bible refers to Watchers from Above (‘iyr in Hebrew) in Daniel 4:13, 17, 23. We’re called to our prayers by high-ranking angelic beings sent from heaven to observe and execute divine decrees. You may find synchronicity in the Time when you look, after your prayers.

THE EIGHT WATCHES

Night Watch

  • First Watch: 6 pm – 9 pm – Contemplation and laying foundations in prayer.
  • Second Watch: 9 pm – 12 am – Intercessory prayer for protection of ourselves and those around us
  • Third Watch: 12 am – 3 am – Spiritual warfare (We are covered by the blood of Jesus.)
  • Fourth Watch: 3 am – 6 am – Prophetic prayer because you are commanding your morning with prophetic decrees and declaring God’s word

Day Watch

  • Fifth Watch: 6 am – 9 am – Petitions. Ask for strength and surrender. Ask for the Holy Spirit to help you before you start your day
  • Sixth Watch: 9 am – 12 pm – Thanksgiving prayer (on behalf of the whole)
  • Seventh Watch : 12 pm – 3 pm – This is the seventh watch of rest. 7 Biblically represents that. This is a time to seek God in the secret place
  • Eighth Watch: 3 pm – 6 pm – This is the eight and final watch of the night and a time for prayer for revival and renewal. Symbolically, Christ died at 3 pm.

THE TRECENA OF FLINT/ETZNAB: TRUTH THAT SETS US FREE

The “Tzolk’in Field Guide” is my gift to download that includes the Count of Days with the aspects for each Destiny Kin and highlights for a personal practice with each trecena. It’s designed as a companion for daily practice.

It only takes 13 days to see how a Divine Intention set at the beginning, always end with the Truth of Answered Prayers. You only have to track your thoughts to stay on course. Often the matters on your mind follow the divine order of Time as the meaning of every Day.

Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide. to download a free copy. Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in, and Volume 2 covers the 3rd and 4th seasons to the end of the Tzolk’in round.

1 Flint/ETZNAB is the 4nd trecena of the 2nd season of the Tzolk’in round, found at the end of Volume 1. The meaning of time is revealed by the thoughts on your mind.

NOTE: Tone 1 reflects the 1st Light of Divine Inspiration for this chapter of Time. If you forget where you are, return to Tone 1 to see the “First Light” of Divine Inspiration.

5 Wind/IK (Cherokee Whirlwind/ DAK’SI I’SB) – Day 5 of 13 in the trecena of 1 Flint/ETZNAB

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), who’s wisdom and Tzolk’in date calculator is preserved on MayanMajix.com

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.

Wind/IK: Breath of Spirit, breath of life. Winds embody the power of dissemination and planting of good seeds or ideas. Dreamers and planners with powerful imaginations, Wind persons make great orators and they spread the word of spiritual inspiration as it is carried by the wind. Wind is the power behind the movement of natural cycles such as weather, erosion, and cultural change. As the wind, these persons are extremely changeable and adaptable. They may appear inconsistent or fickle to others. Wind can be destructive to self and others by putting on airs. When Winds strut and boast, expanding on facts and accomplishments, they are building the dark clouds of trouble that may become hurricanes.

A GOOD DAY TO: Send Communications of all kinds.

Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA: Whirlwind’s symbol is a double spiral helix in rising smoke. Wind brings energy for an Inquiring mind, learning and wisdom. In Cherokee, the constellations are represented by 12 birds (dancers), the 13th bird is the Whirlwind, the lead dancer. This reflects the whirling of life. Wind is the breath of the Universe (matching the Mayan symbol) channel of communication and carries the Sacred Smoke to the Great Spirit (Source- Hunab Ku in Mayan); matches the pulse of the breath of the Cosmos.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. 1. Pentecost is a reminder that God still breathes life where everything feels finished. What looks dry, broken, or empty is not beyond His Spirit.

    And that same breath is still at work today, bringing renewal where it’s needed most.
