AURORAS IN THE USA: As predicted, a CME hit Earth on Aug. 10th. The impact was weak, and at first it did not cause a geomagnetic storm. However, as Earth moved deeper into the CME’s magnetized wake, a G1-class storm began, and auroras spread into the United States as far south as Oregon.
