“Establishing contact with the ancestors activates innate psychic abilities, gifts to be used as tools to assist others.”
These words from the description of CIMI jumped out at me yesterday, when I realized our 13 Tone of Ascension was guided by the Day Sign of Spirit Tools, Deer/MANIK. As we are ascending the Eagle/MEN trecena of Spiritual Evolution, WE have become the Spirit Tools in God’s own Hands.
We were created for a Divine purpose to be used in the world, and only through the blessing of our Spirit’s evolution are we able to carry that out. Our Creator WANTS to show his presence and bring forth every Spiritual Gift we might hope for.
THE TRECENA OF EAGLE/MEN
13 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Twins/ TAKATO’KA)
Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.
If you look at the purpose of each trecena from the beginning of the Maya New Year, each one has guided us progressively toward this time of spiritual illumination. The final trecena of the 260-day round is just ahead where we will be completed to bring our gifts to the world.
Deer/MANIK is not a delicate fawn, but a powerful stag that embodies the energy of the priest or shaman. The Deer transforms us so we are able to stand steadfast in our own power. Deer/MANIK encourages us to test out our own Spirit Tools. CIMI has taught us that our Spiritual Gifts are realized through contact with our ancestors. Symbolized by the element of water, Deer connects us to our emotions, knowing we’ll make our closest connection through the feeling in our hearts.
To all my relations, may we feel our own gratitude for every spiritual blessing we have been given. May we remember both we and our ancestors are Divine Sparks of the Creator and step fully into the power of our spiritual evolution.
