13 Crocodile / IMIX – Ascension: Day 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

13 Crocodile / IMIX

Greetings Kin,

On Tone 13 we Ascend to a Higher Consciousness of Being. 13 is the number of theurgy, our ability to call on the Intervention of Divine Agency through our Sacred Rituals and Ceremonies.

Through Answered Prayer, we see our Self on Higher Ground. We’re ready to start over, or try again to reach an even Higher Consciousness of the Power of Love.

With the Understanding of Light from 12 Sun/AHAU, the Omega, we Ascend to Alpha, 13 Crocodile/IMIX.

IMIX is the primordial Mother, witness from the Beginning of Creation. As the symbol of the Divine Feminine, IMIX serves to Receive the Light of Inspiration from AHAU, then apply her Gift of Discernment to inspire the Highest Manifestation of the Dream.

The trip to the Yucatan started as a place I always wanted to see for myself. Then it was elevated by the meaning and purpose of Ian Lungold’s Mayan birthday. Then it was elevated once again as a Pilgrimage for the Sake of Love and Forgiveness of the Whole. With each challenge, I needed a Higher Reason to Believe. I was drawn Higher by the Climb of a Divine Intention. Ian’s dream started with jewelry. Creating the Day Signs in silver, inspired by their beauty, he realized there was no way for anyone to know which one was their own. It became a life pilgrimage to understand the Time of the Calendar.

IMIX is the Mother of Innovation, said to inspire our most genius thoughts. Those who follow their IMIX wild ideas are said to remembered for their genius. On IMIX our Consciousness receives random thoughts and ideas. Like a Muse, we are given the Spark that will engage our own Vision and Expression. IMIX can present a “download” of wild ideas that all seem like disassociated to one another.

Love and Creation are the Inherent Gifts that Define Human as Divine. Miracles happen when we engage Love for Creation, or Creation for Love. Human’s story is the Art of Living and our most beautiful Creation when the ending is a Manifestation of something we Love. Love holds the Power to Lead Creation on an ever-upward spiral. The Tzolk’in helps us See the Truth that we are Ascending.

The First 8 Monkey/CHUEN of this Journal: October 18, 2015

Greetings Kin,

8 Monkey/CHUEN (8 B’aatz) – First 8 B’aatz I painted.

I wanted to share the journal from October 18, 2015, the day I made a commitment to Count the Days. I had been calling myself a daykeeper since 2002 without a Dedicated Practice. I looked at the Tzolk’in every day for some synchronicity. That was as far as I looked.

I had written a few posts from the calendar on the blog, and thought it would be a tool for organization. Then one day, I mentioned the 21-day Gratitude Ceremony in a post. I thought, why talk about it, if you aren’t going to do it. I committed to 21 days. “What had I done? What would I even have to write tomorrow?”

Don’t hold me to any Wisdom about the Maya from 2015. I guess it was good I picked a narrow topic. I couldn’t even Sign my Name.

On that 8 B’aatz I realized I never made a real commitment. I Initiated myself. As my Offering, I made a commitment to 260 journals and 260 glyphs, one for every day.

Material changes have followed and I’m still following that path to another Dream. I could never measure the value of a worldly return to the Consciousness to see all the Blessings that were Always there and are Eternal.

I couldn’t have done it without YOU. I’m grateful to Celebrate the Day it began with you.
The Sun is shining, the Mother Finch is singing her song to it, and I placed my Love there. The Signs and Symbols will rise with tomorrow’s Sun, the beginning of our New Life on Earth.

Galactic Tone 8: Justice – Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weigh ll evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in statement, “as above, so below”. The energy of 8 organizes all levels of creation.

Monkey/Chuen/B’atz’: Known to the maya as the weaver of time – Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality.

HAPPY MAYA NEW YEAR! (Waqxaqui (8) B’atz)

Wajxaqib’, 8 B’atz’/Chuen/Monkey

The K’iche’ Maya of highland Guatemala honor this day, 8 B’atz’ (Chuen/Monkey) as the beginning of the 260-day cycle of the Tzolk’in calendar. This is a special day when the Maya community joins to celebrate with Fire Ceremonies of gratitude and is the day of initiation for Shaman and Mayan Daykeepers.

When Maya people celebrate the Tzolkin new year, they are celebrating that the creation of the world has been fulfilled and that a new cycle of 260 days begins. The ceremony includes calling all of the 260 days of the Tzolkin/Cholq’ij calendar. Monkey is the first one called in during the Count of Days in Guatemalan Mayan fire ceremonies because he signifies the beginning of time.

These ancient sacred ceremonies are a time of purification, blessing and celebration now recognized and honored by Daykeepers throughout the world as well as the traditional Maya. Among the practices of a Daykeeper is to welcome the inspiration of a new Sun, and to send a message of love forward on the Sun in lak’ech to the next Daykeepers waiting for the dawn.

To all my relations, I am grateful for honored traditions brought forward from our ancestors that bring meaning and connection to our lives. I am grateful for every new beginning and for the opportunity it brings to be made new once again and to clear a way for a fresh path forward.

Most of all, I am grateful to hold a sacred space with those that share the path of beauty that we may all move forward in harmony and in the spirit of lak’ech – “I am another yourself.”

Today brings an opportunity join in a celebration in harmony with all that is. As this new day dawns, I send my love around to you on the Sun.

13 Crocodile / IMIX

Greetings Kin,

On Tone 13 we Ascend to a Higher Consciousness of Being. 13 is the number of our Magic Connection with the Creator, and the Promise by the Creator to Intervene in Human affairs when we call from the Consciousness of our Sacred Rituals, Ceremonies, and Prayers. The number 13 is a Divine Covenant of Answered Prayer.

This is an End that Represents a Brand New Beginning, and the Dawn of a New Awakening.

Crocodile/IMIX resides in Position #1 of the Tzolk’in as the Alpha to the Omega of the Position #0 (20) of Sun/AHAU. Together they are with us from the Beginning to the End, and part of the all-in-one of everything in between.

IMIX is the primordial Mother who Knew us in the Womb of our Creation. She is the Divine Feminine that was the witness to our first thoughts. IMIX talks to us, like a voice somewhere outside the womb, through wild ideas and imaginings – thoughts we could identify are not our own. At the Dawn of our First Awakening, we heard our Mother’s Voice outside the womb. We recognized the presence of another Consciousness. IMIX’s Divine Voice was the Inspiration to think, “Then, who Am I?”

Trusting Your Ability to Ride Change: A Message from Ian Lungold

Trusting Your Ability to Ride Change

JIan Xel Lungold, January 26, 1949 – November 16, 2005, 12 Sun (Ahau, Ajpu)

A Message from Ian, April 1, 2004, 3 Jaguar (IX)

Okay, by now you have realized that you are sitting here as a spiritual being, a center of unseen consciousness, in the 3rd dimension a place restricted to a matrix of physical frequencies that are made up of dualities. This hologram of Is-ness and Not-is-ness is the field of creation. So far, we as beings here on earth have been the spectators of Creation for the most part with aspirations of someday taking the field and playing the game as the stars we dream we are. In any game there are 3 things, freedoms, barriers and goals.

Our whole existence in this 3rd dimension has those 3 elements shining in all directions.

I am of the opinion that I, and the most of you, have joined this game for a very special purpose.  And I am not talking about just this life-time either. We have been at this game for a very “long time”. We, those reading these words, came here at this point in Creation for one reason, to play to win. We came to challenge the whole game of physical Matter, Energy, Space and Time and walk away with the “trophy,” Our Spiritual Wholeness restored to full consciousness once again. Once again to BE Conscious Co-Creators of our experience, knowing the oneness and walking in oneness as your self, radiant.

We came to play hard and we came to play smart.

We came to tear Karma and Spirit apart.

We are on a quest to conquer duality

Stage by stage through our evolution

From within, to and through-out all duality

And so through-out all of Creation

The sum total of which is, Unity ()

This means we must confront and master duality.

And practice makes perfect

I-Ching: Blessing of the 7 Dragons

Greetings Kin – The I-Ching is another “spiritual guidance system” that reflects correspondence and synchronicity with the Tzolk’in calendar cycles. I’m sharing an excerpt of Bobby Klein’s weekly I-Ching forecast for the week of October 22, 2018.

The symbol of the 7 Dragons is a powerful energy, and Bobby offers some very encouraging guidance and wisdom on meeting the challenge to manifest these Blessings. The complete forecast is found on Bobby Klein’s website.

The strength and force of Dragons
Inspiration in its primal presence
Portends Great Success

Joyous spirit helpers have delivered you to the gates of change in the form of this Kua. It is a message from Heaven. Rumblings of discontent and a troubled mind are leaving making way for a new cycle of individuation and the creative completion of new ideas that have been in formation. Now is the opportunity to make real the you have wished to be and to create a strong and good pathway that is imbued with virtue and integrity. This is your time to pass through the gates where you have the opportunity to shift into great creativity with passion and inspiration. You are offered the strength of 7 flying dragons. Their wings are your vehicle. Drawing this Kua is good fortune. Confucius said that to be blessed by this force is a blessing indeed, it is of great strength with a clarity of primal knowing . Persistence is necessary as you begin this new and fresh cycle of manifestation and transformation.

GLOBAL BURNER: Sacred Fire Ceremonies

The Element of Fire

Fire holds the power of transmutation, able to change the form and structure of other Elements. Honoring Fire as a Sacred Element through which we can purify and release those things that no longer serve. On the traditional Medicine Wheel path we bring our prayers of tobacco to send up the smoke of our prayers. We offer blessings to honor and feed it. Traditional gifts are chocolate or raw liver. What we bring to the fire is released into the Hands of the Creator. We feed the Fires of Creation.

There are many traditional ways of Sacred Fire Ceremony. The Maya and Native American tradition lay a circle of cornmeal and mark the 4 directions with the cross made of tobacco. The Mayan incorporate candles, sugar, flowers, and consecrate the Earth with tequila. Prayers are offered to the 4 directions, for the Inspiration of the East, the Relationships of the South, the Unknown Journey of the West, and the Wisdom of the North.

As an offering for the Global Burner day, the Fire Ceremony page offers a way to observe a sacred fire ceremony indoors.

New Year Celebration, Highlands of Guatemala

Greetings Kin,

A Mayan Daykeeper who lives in a village near Lake Atitlan, shared a photo from the New Year’s Celebration on WAXAJQIB B’AATZ (8 Monkey/CHUEN). Jen has become “family” connected through the journal. She’s a touchstone to a way of life, and shares insight on the K’iche traditions. She spent the day in the highlands for the celebration in Momostenango. ~Debra
