MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
We are gifted with a power of discernment as Tone 2 asks us to consider alternative points of view. As we cultivate a new dream we are asked to take a deeper look at the pros and cons, the effort required to bring something into being, and how a new plan might benefit ourselves and others. We are asked to consider what our dream might look like in it’s highest manifestation.
The arrival of Monkey/CHUEN trecena hasn’t presented me with a time of fun and games, yet. Though, this is how we are being guided to approach life – both the good and the not-so-fun parts. I find it difficult to not take things seriously when life presents us with such hard truths as we have had to face this week. Yet, these are times when we reveal to one another the depths of our true feelings. “Dreamers who believe in the dream” is the Monkey vision I would hold on to.
THE TRECENA OF MONKEY/CHUEN
2 Road/EB (Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/KANU’GA)
Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.
Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Many become care takers of the poor, sick, or old people, where they may make personal sacrifices. Road is sometimes referred to as the sign of grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger. Holding in of negative emotions and unexpressed resentment can lead to illness, a poisoned opinion of others and a false bravado for this sun sign.
Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/KANU’GA: Symbolized by a rainbow, the delicate display of electromagnetic rays of the SUN. Rattlesnake Tooth is the Natal day sign of Medicine, the Shaman, the Priest, the Healer, and the Sorcerer. Guardian of the Way, Keeper of the Keys of the secret Kingdom.
Crystallization of Spirit Day 2
Road/EB is a Day Sign that is also about the choices we make that lead us to our own destiny. Together, 2 Road/EB signals that we are given a very important choice that has long-range impact. Through a process of our discernment we hold the power of “to be, or not to be” as we are offered a clear vision of what we might bring to the world.
Road/EB is a Day Sign of personal sacrifices, encouraging us to make the best choices for ourselves, and to also look to the needs of others. The Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth is described as “Guardian of the Way, Keeper of the Keys of the secret Kingdom.” Tone 2 leads us to a point of commitment that is motivated by our personal investigation. May we reach for the keys of the secret kingdom!
To all my relations, may we be guided to see what is at stake in the matter of stepping into the power we have been offered through our design. May we clearly see every trial as a game – and nothing personal – that we are able to skip and dodge through artfully like the Monkey, picking up new talents and skills as we go.
