MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
The Maya consider the 8th and 9th Tones as Holy Days with 8 being the Sacred Number of Pure Spirit. Tone 8 is an energy that shifts us through the engagement of a Divine Reciprocity. What we have invested of ourselves will be given back through a Sacred Exchange.
On Eagle’s wings we’re raised to close proximity of the Creator. On our upward climb 6 Reed/BEN offered an altar for communion that required us to Reach Up. Through an exchange of Divine Reciprocity on 8 Eagle/MEN, an Agent of the Creator Reaches Down to Lift us Up.
Every 13 days we are offered this Sacred Exchange that gives back whatever we have given. A Vision Quest required an investment of our Highest Consciousness. On this Holy Day the Dreams we Dared to Dream will be returned to us as a Vision seen through the Eyes of the Creator.
Our Vision Quest trecena led by Star/LAMAT multiplies to abundance our most important Intention… to know the Truth of who we are. We are walking in alignment with the Creator’s Highest Aspiration.
Tone 8 brings the Intention of Divine Justice to maintain the Harmony and Balance for All. Our Blessing will be measured by the effort we’ve invested. An application of Divine Justice insures our efforts are measured in fairness.
We are all born with different talents, capabilities, limitations, and circumstances. What is an extraordinary effort for one, might be easy for another. The Divine Measure by the Creator is an assessment of our Spiritual effort. This is Divine Justice.
Sometimes the smallest challenges require a monumental effort. I remember when making a call to arrange a late payment seemed like an overwhelming task. Under 8 Eagle/MEN’s guidance, the Faith and Courage to make the call was the Spiritual measure, not the effort to pick up a phone.
Eagle/MEN raises us to a place where we see ourselves in a new way. Through the Eyes of the Creator we begin to realize our Principle Identity.
Eagle serves in the role of Intermediary. We are guided to be bringers of Divine Justice. We are asked to see one another without the judgement of superiority. Instead, where we recognize our strength, may we know this is the gift we were meant to offer.
To all my relations, may we Know that our Hearts hold the True Measure of who we are. May we remain anchored in our Gratitude and Appreciation for the Beauty of Mother Earth where we are open to the Magic of Jaguar/IX. May the Vision of Ourselves as we Really Are be a Blessing multiplied to abundance.
In lak’ech, I am another You

THE TRECENA OF STAR/LAMAT
Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weighs all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement ‘as above, so below,’ from simplicity to infinity, the energy of eight organizes all levels of creation, some eights are ‘neat freaks.’
Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth. Due to the Eagles superior point of view and keen intelligence, they achieve material abundance and good fortune. A messenger gifted with patience and a deep sense of value, Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit. Eagle persons are very detail oriented and technically inclined. Compassionate service to others sustains prosperity for Eagle personas as the flapping of wings would sustain their bird brothers. If Eagle becomes viciously competitive or possessive, greed and jealousy cause a fall from the heights. Eagles, being blessed with freedom of movement, should be aware of escapism. Eagles may be tempted to just fly away from troubles by using indulgences.
Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI: Symbol is Mars the Spirit Warrior. He is a minion of Grandfather Moon. Eagles were the warrior society, the braves the protectors of the nation.Women were included. There was no discrimination which is reflected in the language: third person singular is divided into animate, human and animate, not human instead of he and she. The energy of high hopes and anticipations, dreams and visions, cosmic consciousness and commitment. On earth a provider of excellence, leader, husbandry, care-taking of others, financial security and inheritance. Totem-Eagle. Powerful energy for success in worldly affairs, due to far seeing vision. Ability to create masses of money and abundance through an intellectual type of profession. Eagle asks for what he desires and manifests it. Professor, lawyer, teacher, leader.
