MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Today we Celebrate an Ascension of new possibility. On Tone 13 we Ascend with a Higher Consciousness of the Light that shines in the darkness. By focusing on the Light, we gain the willingness and courage to face the Darkness of our Unknown.
Eagle/MEN is the Intermediary that lifts us up to see what we couldn’t see from the ground. From a Higher Perspective we can focus on the future as it was planned by a Divine Creator of Unconditional Love. We could see that any obstacle we find in our path was not the Intention of the Creator. Nor are we to see the obstacles in our life as unfair. We are never challenged by anything that we are not capable to overcome.
Eagle/MEN demonstrates its way of fulfilling a dream is to look far off into the distance, instead of being distracted by what we see “up close.” Eagle demonstrates that if we single-mindedly fix our mind on what we hope to grasp, we can rely on the navigation of Divine Spirit to get there. What we see up close is only temporary, appearing as the chaos of change.
The way of conquering our fear is through Faith. “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” The intention of the AKBAL trecena was to offer an experience, a Truth of Spirit we can hang onto. Eagle/MEN calls for our Highest Aspirations with Faith in a Promise that we will be guided there by Divine Intervention.
We were given a Vision Quest to enter a world of darkness for the sole purpose of seeking the Light of the Creator. We were guided to see the Spark of Light that always shines within. The Creator intended an experience of Love. The Creation that was begun by an Almighty Creator will be completed through us. The Blessing was intended as Justice for All. As we gain Higher Consciousness of the Creator’s Power, Intention, and Unconditional Love, we can Believe we are headed for a Divine Outcome of Fairness and Equity.
We were prepared to move forward with new Inner Strength. Holding the Vision of our Intention, we’ve evolved to better stand in our own Truth. We can rise above the unjust demands and expectations of the world when we’re grounded by the Purity of a Divine Intention.
We don’t have to win every race. We don’t have to exceed every accomplishment made by someone else. We can celebrate the Choice to be Ordinary, no greater or lesser than anyone else, no less worthy of every Blessing promised by the Creator. We don’t have to “be the best” or “have the most” when we Claim we were Already Seen as Unique and Special, and created for something More Worthy and Important. Our Intentions of Love are made eternal and as perennial as the grass.
AKBAL wanted us to focus only on the Dream and the Voice of Spirit within. In Sacred Ceremony we lay down our Consciousness of the world and its illusions. We make a choice to rise above the daily struggle, and to live Wholly in Spirit. We ascend to our next evolution of Spiritual Consciousness, by grasping one concept, one truth, one communion with the Creator that we can claim as our own. We were given a glimpse of another realm of living that raises us above the injustice of the world. Everything we do can be completed as part of the Sacred Dance of turning to the Direction of Spirit for a Discernment of the Love that’s needed in the world.
Eagle/MEN shows us that the way to grasp our Dreams is by focusing solely on the Dream. Instead of imagining all the obstacles that stand in the way, we can imagine the joy of claiming the prize. What we claim in the realm of Spirit, will be balanced in every other plane of our existence.
At the end of Sacred Ceremony there is always a feast of celebration. We honor Mother Earth for the sustenance she offers, and acknowledge the Light of Human Effort that brought the bounty to our table. We consider the food was created for the sole intention to Be Here Now to be Honored as a Blessing. Like us, the life sacrificed at our table could have never anticipated such a divine end. So are we created to be seen as a Blessing of Life, Light and Happiness. As we honor the majesty of Mother Earth, we can remember we were created by the very same Hand.
To all my relations, may we turn to Spirit to see beyond the illusion of our “close up” world. May we see that Spirit is eternal, and our troubles only temporary. May we see from a Higher Perspective that Dreams that are Divinely Inspired are offered because they are possible. May we hold our Dreams in the darkness of the void, undefined, so they may be shaped by Divine Intervention. May we remember there are many ways to accomplish the same thing. May we hold an Intention of Faith in a Creator who Loves us, one who would never ask us to settle for anything less than the Dream that was Inspired. May we Believe that “Divine Will” is never the “consolation prize,” but a choice we make so that the Dream can multiplied to abundance. May we carry forward our focus and Higher Vision of the Light to be put into service as a Blessing to the Whole.
The following is a blessing offered by the Elders as a message of farewell at the completion of Sacred Ceremony:
“A Way opens before you.
All obstacles and impediments are Removed.
Only that which is worthy and desirable goes forward with you.” AHO!
in lak’ech, I am another you

A NEW COMMITMENT TO GRATITUDE:
I’m sharing a the “21-Days of Gratitude” as a perpetual Personal Ceremony through the next journey to 8 Monkey/CHUEN Maya New Year. The “21 days” begin and end on Jaguar/IX.
21-Days of Gratitude: Day 2
I’m grateful that the Creator’s Unconditional Love is eternal. I’m grateful that every Human is promised to receive their own Highest Gift of Divine Justice. I’m grateful to believe that the Creator sees only the Beauty we’ve created, and overlooks the weakness of our Human Nature. I’m grateful to a Creator whose only focus is on the Dream of our Divine Becoming.

13 Eagle/MEN (Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI)
Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth. Due to the Eagles superior point of view and keen intelligence, they achieve material abundance and good fortune. A messenger gifted with patience and a deep sense of value, Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit. Eagle persons are very detail oriented and technically inclined. Compassionate service to others sustains prosperity for Eagle personas as the flapping of wings would sustain their bird brothers. If Eagle becomes viciously competitive or possessive, greed and jealousy cause a fall from the heights. Eagles, being blessed with freedom of movement, should be aware of escapism. Eagles may be tempted to just fly away from troubles by using indulgences.
Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI: Eagle’s symbol is Mars the Spirit Warrior. He is a minion of Grandfather Moon. Eagles were the warrior society, the braves the protectors of the nation. Women were included. There was no discrimination which is reflected in the language: third person singular is divided into animate, human and animate, not human instead of he and she. The energy of high hopes and anticipations, dreams and visions, cosmic consciousness and commitment. On earth, a provider of excellence, leader, husbandry, care-taking of others, financial security and inheritance.
