MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 5 offers an Empowerment of Spirit. Tone 5 is an organizing force that gathers what is needed to manifest our Intention. 5 consolidates the resources of communication, materials, and knowledge for application.
Night/AKBAL guides us to the resource of Spirit. The glyph illustrates the darkness with curtains drawn back to reveal a source of Light. AKBAL is the Light that shines the way in the Dark.
Each climb of Spiritual Growth is a walk into the Unknown. Residing in the West, AKBAL relates to new and unknown experiences. Holding the Element of Water, AKBAL touches our emotions.
The power we need for Renewal and Regeneration will be drawn through a Communion of Spirit. AKBAL can resolve the insecurities and doubt of our subconscious fears and reminds us that the darkness is the place of unlimited possibility.
Night/AKBAL is the Voice that speaks to us in our Dreams. An Inner Voice of Spirit can dispel our fear of the darkness by speaking to us in language of the heart.
The Cherokee Day Sign, the Hearth, represents the sacred fires that burn through the night. This is the gathering place of the Divine Spirits who fan the flames of our dreams. AKBAL helps us gather the inner strength we need to believe our dream is possible.
Tone 5 is positioned as the Center of the Cube, a source of Power that comes from within. 5 AKBAL empowers the Center we call Home. “The Hearth is the Torchbearer who holds the light and warmth throughout the night. Belief is so strong that the surrounding elements become entrained to their rhythm and all resistance falls away. With respect and honor of intuition combined with knowledge this energy creates the magic of the center in this dimension.”
Night/AKBAL reminds us that our darkest hour lies just before the dawn. AKBAL is often a day when all our fears rise to the surface. AKBAL brings the dawn, but first we must willingly enter the darkness. We might face our own “dark night of the soul.” AKBAL knows the words we need to hear to rise above it. AKBAL can be the breakdown that leads to a breakthrough.
Night/AKBAL can remind us of Truth we already Know, but are unable to see in the dark. In the darkness, we can forget the promise of Divine Justice. Our Inner Growth will be built on following a Light we can only see in Spirit.
Our willingness to face the unknown is a Leap of Faith that is Sacred to the Creator. Through this Leap we expand the possibilities for Transformation. The Faith we hold can become the Truth that we Believe.
The House Finch have taken over the smaller species that visit the balcony. The red feathers on the head of the male are brilliant in the sunshine. I love the beauty of their tiny size and persistent song. A pair has chosen the corner nook of an upper beam as a place to start a family. I have a front row seat to a Divine Collaboration.
A shrine to the old one is a favorite perch. It’s branches were full and green last summer, but it didn’t make it through the winter. It began as a houseplant, but once it was introduced to the natural world, it refused to come back inside, dropping its leaves. It sustained itself through a couple of mild winters, but died within 10 days of being brought indoors for building power-wash in early Spring.
This plant was so loved by the birds, it’s been offered another season to live as a memorial. This is the little corner haven arranged to offer protective cover. The smaller birds enjoy saucers of seed tucked in between the potted plants. The bird bath is a new feature that’s yet to see much action. It’s certainly not a show-stopping creation on my part, but the life that exists there is. This place is the Center of my Spiritual “Home.” I see Love every time I look there. The meaning and purpose of the creation was to build a living altar Below to manifest a living altar Above.
The female Finch flies back and forth from the nest with wads of different material in its beak. The male stands guard in the tallest branch below, singing its song and chasing off any unwanted intruders.
It’s a thing of beauty to see such tiny creatures engaged in a shared intention. The Earth is God’s Gift to Humanity. It’s even more Divine to Know the birds were designed this way for Human to see. And, Mother Earth brought this for me to see.
The CAUAC trecena Renews our Comfort of Home. The Finch will manifest a Home for a new generation by sharing their strengths with one another. We were designed for a Spiritual Collaboration, just as they are. We were born into Duality to know the Joy of a Return to Unity.
My darkness takes the form of doubt about the Spiritual Condition of Humanity. It’s one thing to Forgive unconscious injustice. It takes more Inner Strength to forgive harm inflicted by intention. It feels like a darkness that refuses to yield to Light.
There IS a Light that shines in the distance. It may take a moment for our eyes to adjust, but we’ll have enough Light to move in the right direction. The Creator holds the power to unite the two sides of Humanity. The Divine Justice we believe for our Self, is a Covenant for the WHOLE. Our Salvation won’t be a “win” for either side, but a failure by All that is Divinely Forgiven. Kneeling together in Humility we see one another in our most vulnerable position, yet holding the Greatest Light of Divinity.
Night/AKBAL holds potential for a mystical experience. We can hover somewhere between the Conscious and Unconscious state of mind. AKBAL allows us to be Conscious of our Unconscious thoughts. From the realm of our own Divine Consciousness the Truth we need to see is offered for guidance. As we learn to Acknowledge a Voice of Divine Communion, we will amplify its sound and vibration.
AKBAL reminds us of the Miracles that lie in the darkness. We can start our journey in darkness, knowing we will end up in the Light.
To all my relations, may we lose our fear of darkness. May we give thanks for the experience that will be given that Divinely Heals our Fear. May we hold Faith in the Spiritual Transformation of Humanity, as we Believe in our own Transformation by Forgiveness. May we bring our own Light to others, so they might see the Light of Humanity through us. May we make the Leap of Faith on behalf of the Whole. May we open our heart, and listen for the Voice that speaks in our dreams. May we imagine a life where we work in harmony by Divine instinct.

5 Night/AKBAL (Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA)
Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.
Night/Akbal: Bringers of the Dawn. Dreamers who bring the new sun to clarify and illuminate the road of life. Thus the insecurities and doubts born of darkness of the sub-conscious mind are dispelled. These persons travel the Void… a place where nothing yet exists but all potential dwells, the womb of creation. From this void, Night persons bring forth new solutions and artistic inspiration. Night’s voyages of dreams build confidence and happiness with a sense of well being. If night does not bravely journey into the void they may find themselves wandering the darkness of self doubt and insecurity.
Cherokee, Hearth/O’YA: Hearth’s symbol is the fire pit in the Center, velvet black as the night. The triangle in Orion. The M42 nebula (home of the Central race from the WingMakers) in the center of the triangle of Orion is the fire in the Hearth, also matching the Mayan. The Hearth is the Torchbearer who holds the light and warmth throughout the night. Belief is so strong that the surrounding elements become entrained to their rhythm and all resistance falls away. With respect and honor of intuition combined with knowledge this energy creates the magic of the center in this dimension. AKBAL-Night-Totem-OWL: Guardian of the Night Sun. Energies for the opening of mystic secrets, seeing through the masks of deception, trickery. High ability of discernment. Portals open to other worlds and dimensions for your learning and spiritual growth. Magical abilities are possible.
