MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 5 is a day of Empowerment. Tone 5 helps us draw together the Resources of Spirit that make it possible to Love Unconditionally. Tone 5 represents the center of the cube, the force within that manages the resources of our Spiritual Tools for the application of our Creation.
Jaguar/IX is the most Spiritual of Day Signs and offers an Empowerment of “Earth Magic,” a vibration of Love generated by Gratitude for Mother Earth. IX is a symbol of the Divine Feminine, holding the Gift of Divine Discernment and Compassionate Love. Jaguar is the shape-shifter and the shaman, capable to see beyond the physical world to the dimension of Spirit. Jaguar offers the Vision to see beyond our Human differences to the sameness of our Divinity.
Human bears the scars in our Divine Intention to Love. No matter how hard we apply our Self to an Intention to Love, we will always come up short. Our salvation is found within our Divine Nature. From a Divine Perspective we can see one another clearly. Our Divinity isn’t earned by “good works” but manifested by Intention. Instead of comparing our selves to one another, Jaguar/IX leads us to be Grateful for the Divinity that lies in every Human.
Our Intention of Love is empowered by our Gratitude for One Another. We can choose to see one another in all our Human failings, or we can offer the Magic of Gratitude. Everything wants to be Seen and Acknowledged in its best light. When we invest our Self in seeking to see the Good, we hold the Healing Power of the shaman. We shape-shift from Human to our Divine Identity, capable of Compassionate Love.
The Dog/OC trecena guides an Intention of Unconditional Love. Our climb of Spiritual Growth calls on our Divine Nature to be Faithful and Loyal to an Intention to share our Love Unconditionally. We are impassioned to look beyond our Human failings, to the Divinity of the Spirit that lies within each of us.
Jaguar/IX is the nahaul that walks in stealth, taking on a cloak of invisibility. IX guards the temples and sacred sites where Human brings its Offerings of Love. Jaguar is witness to the Divine Nature of Human, and sees the best we have to give. Through Gratitude, we hold the magic to elevate the Light we hold within.
Among Human’s greatest suffering is our own limitation and failure. When we are unconscious of our Divine Nature, our failure is the easiest thing for Human to see. Through an effort to see others and acknowledge their Light, we hold the Magic to Empower one another.
Our Gratitude reflects an Intention to see Light in one another. The magic of Gratitude is that when we shine the Light of Love on one another, the Light of our Spirit becomes visible to our Self.
Jaguar raises our Consciousness to the Love of Mother Earth, how she gives even when she is not seen or acknowledged. Being seen isn’t a condition for her Love. Her beauty isn’t diminished by a lack of acknowledgement. She is the Mother that believes in our Divine Nature, and encourages our potential.
Jaguar/IX resides in the North, the direction of Wisdom and the Element of Air. North is the place of our Collective Wisdom. Air relates to the inner workings of the Mind, our capability to Rise to a Higher State of Love, through the Gift of Consciousness. IX offers the gift of a Change of Mind. Air is also the Breath of Life, and the Breath of Spirit, capable to disseminate our Intention through our Communion.
Reed/BEN guided us to focus on our Highest Aspirations for our Self. Called to live in our Highest Integrity, we are guided to be an example. We do the most good through a demonstration of Love, forgiving others for their failures. Others will know our Wisdom by an example that allows others to manifest their own Sacred Path. Each Path is Sacred.
Through Consciousness we can see that while we are excelling in the direction of our Intention, we are also still failing in the limitations we’ve yet to discover. Every Human experience is different. Each one of us shares a different perspective of the journey. In the Ego’s attempt to be seen, we measure our Light by the Darkness we discern in others. In a Divine Attempt of Compassionate Love we Look for the Intention of Love in one another. We will always find what we’re looking for.
What we see is the measure of our Own State of Mind. The Darkness we see is the Darkness within our Self. The Light we see in others helps us to See and Acknowledge our own Light.
This upward climb I’ve been wearing my heart on my sleeve. In my Virgo house, all my issues of identity are being raised for a healing. I’m giving my Intention a whole-hearted effort to be the person I want to be in the face of the unconsciousness around me. I have two extremes at the moment. Politics and religion have driven a wedge between some family members. I’m hanging on to accept some detachments, standing in the Truth of my Love. My insides are screaming lonely.
On the other hand, I’ve never felt so supported by all of you who read the blog. You’ve become a part of my Greatest Dream. The Journey is already in progress and I get to take you with me to the Yucatan.
Tonight, I was reminded at dinner about how in my 20’s I was all into pyramid power. I’d forgotten I had a 5′ square frame pyramid that we would sit in. I forgot how long my dreams about pyramids have been going on. I think it was meant to be that I go alone, open to whatever the Jaguar might lead me to.
The Jaguar became my totem at my first Sun/Moon Dance in 2002. Dancers exist within the arbor/dance circle throughout the 4 days of ceremony. The Elders said the circle existed in the realm of Spirit, hovering above the earthly plane. If we needed to go to the facilities or release something at the Sacred Fire, we kept covered in sheets to carry our realm along with us and were smudged as we returned into the circle. In the middle of the first night, a panther entered the circle from the Southeast. The Fire Keepers saw the Panther circle the center pole and walk out through the Northwest. It exited near the feet of a dancer who was awake and laying very still. I didn’t see it, though it crossed my path in the Southwest. That was the my beginning with the Black Jaguar, and the Dream that draws me to Ek’ Balam, the Black Jaguar ruins.
There is so much to be grateful for. I’m grateful that I have you to take along. My Dog/OC climb of Spiritual Growth is a choice between suffering and Joy. Sometimes Dog/OC feels like, “Can you even love this?” I’m Loving for my Future. It’s no longer a Leap of Faith to Believe that Light Always Overcomes the Darkness. I can be Grateful for all the Suffering I’ve been spared in my life. That Truth is so much more an Honest Accounting. I can allow myself to feel the temporary pain in Humility and in Communion with the One Divine Consciousness. Only through our own suffering can we Know Compassionate Love.
We’re building a Wave of Spiritual Momentum. Jaguar can help us see from the Realm of Spirit, that the Spark of Love in every Heart will always be ignited by Unconditional Love. Dog/OC is guiding us to leave our Love behind, in tact for the next Opportunity to Love. We can leave our footprints behind to be seen in the future.
Jaguar/IX hangs around in the shadows where Human shines its greatest Light On our Knees in Humility in the Divine Offering of our Self, we can Believe in the Divinity of our Intention. With the courage to see our own limitation, we can be the “Hollow Bone” that places no expectation on another to see things from the same Mind that we do.
The Beauty of our Path is that we were given the Choice of our direction. Jaguar leads a Soul Journey, living alone in Communion with Mother Earth. Through the Gift of Consciousness, every Human is gifted to Discern their own Truth. As the shape-shifter we disappear into the shadows to be the witness of the Light that shines in others.
To all my relations, may we seek to see the Beauty of Every Living Thing. May we see through Jaguar’s eyes how Beauty exists in each other. May we measure our own Light by the Light we discover in others. May we be silent and invisible like the Jaguar’s stealth, so that every choice to speak, or to be visible is guided by a Divine Intention. May our Light shine from the Inside Out to illuminate the Light in One Another. May we count our blessings for every moment we have to be Healed by the Love of Mother Earth, and See and Acknowledge the Beauty of all her Creations.
in lak’ech, I am another you

5 Jaguar/IX (Cherokee, Panther Saho’ni)
Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural networkers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.
Jaguar/IX: Born with a deep love of the Mother Earth, Jaguar or shaman is directly tied to the source of all Earth magic. They possess great power of intellect and strength of character through integrity. Jaguar energy is feminine in nature and is the ruling spirit of jungles, plains, and mountains. The spirit of Jaguar inhabits the Mayan temples and is called on to assist in spiritual as well as in material ways. Jaguar is also the god/goddess of gratefulness. Patience born of strength and skill can turn to pounce of quick decision and action. Both bold and stealthful, Jaguars do not often attack directly and communications from them usually contain some mystery. In the absence of integrity, Jaguars power corrupts becoming a search for wealth and fame.
Totem-Jaguar: Guardian of the portals to other dimensions, shamanic abilities will open. Multi-dimensional magic. Healer, leader, way shower energy when used for spiritual growth. Abuse would be using this power for control or negative purposes. Must find a powerful balance.
Cherokee, Panther/SAHO’NI: Symbol – comets, meteors, shooting stars, fireballs, magicians. The early-morning Leo constellation Meteors appearing around the middle of November are Heralds of the Coming of the Light, the Cherokee New Year. Shadow of the Sphinx, Herald of the Dawn, guardians of the night when the sun is traveling through the underworld. Shapeshifters, manipulators of manifestations. Unlimited imaginations, visualizations, spellbinding speakers.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. UPDATE ON A LIFE DREAM:
On 4 Sun/AHAU I was able to make the reservations for the trip, arriving on October 28 as I had hoped to be there to celebrate Ian Lungold’s Mayan birthday, 12 Sun/AHAU, on October 31st along with the observance of the Day of the Dead. It felt important to the information I would share in my book. I’m grateful to be part of such a flow of Love, more necessary that money, for the realization of my dream. You are already the blessing of just being here. (But you could help me spread the word.) much love, in lak’ech, Debra https://www.gofundme.com/life-dream-a-pilgrimage-of-spirit
