THE TRECENA OF DOG/OC: A JOURNEY TO LOVE
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 2 turns our thoughts to Duality. We begin a Divine Communion with the Higher One, as thoughts are turned from Divine Inspiration to the Truth that reigns in the realm of our Human Consciousness. We are created as Beings who discern what we see through a comparison between one thing and another. Even the physical reality seen with Human eyes is a discernment of dark and light.
The 2 symbolizes Human as the 2nd thing, the 2nd in priority, and the 2 that is a Being with a Human Nature and a Divine Nature. The Master Number 222 is the kin number of 1 Wind/IK, the Breath of Life, the Breath of Spirit, and the First Spoken Words that defined The Creation of 2. The 2 is all the Light imagined from the darkness that became an Overflow of Love. The Dream of the Scion was the Force that ignited a Power of Love. A Sacred Breath Created the first Sound of Love as the One Song of the Uni-verse.
Each Day Sign holds the aspect of either Dark or Light. The 1st Day Sign of the trecena defines the Dark or Light of the cycle. Every Day Sign reflects the Dark or Light aspects of the Day. “Light” defines a day or cycle of the Inspiration of Spirit. “Dark” (White/Yellow) means an application of Inspiration for a Human experience.
On Monkey/CHUEN our side of a Divine Communion is shared from our Divine Nature (Blue=Light). CHUEN resides in position 11, side-by-side at the top of the pyramid with Dog/OC. Together they reflect the Divine “I Am” of the Scion, the Personification of the Creator’s Light. The Holy of Holies resides at the top of the pyramid, as far as Human can reach above the canopy by the power of our Human Nature.
The Jaguar resides at the top of the pyramid. Don Alejandro taught that the Jaguar was a symbol of 7 and the Balance defined by the Universal Law of Creation, “As Above, So Below.” The Jaguar is the Ether of Spirit, and Invisible Being that only leaves its footprints behind. The Jaguar loves the Water and saw the pyramids in the Reflection.
The Final Creation of the 4 Balams (the Jaguars) seated the Consciousness of a world Above and Below. The first 4 Balams fell in Love with Mother Earth and saw her as the source of every blessing. It displeased the Former and Shaper. The Balams were recreated and born again with the Consciousness of the Above. They realized that the Living would serve as the Vessel for the Whole, Above and Below, Before and After, the All-in-One from the Alpha to the Omega.
The Maya stand on a Truth that to speak the words, to carry on the traditions, the rituals, the ceremonies… to Remember Love that came before, is to Share a Living Sanctuary with the One and the Whole. The Circle of Life was given a place to always be. I can’t remember the wisdom shared by my Grandma Naomi, without her face and the whole story coming back to life in my consciousness.
Monkey/CHUEN is the nahaul that is Conscious of its Consciousness and Loves it. CHUEN holds the Perception of Beauty to See the Love of all Time, sitting side-by-side in the Holy of Holies with the Dog/OC of Unconditional Love. The Monkey learned from the Dog that to create More Love we only have to GIVE IT. I can always see a monkey jumping up and down… “I HOLD THE POWER OF LOVE!” We Ascended on 13 MULUC with the Consciousness that Love is the Offering of Human’s Highest Dream of Creation. From the “Dark” of Dog we saw the “work” of Love, the “sacrifice” as seen by our Human Nature. Monkey/CHUEN shares the “Light” side of Loving as a Game of Alchemy played by our Divine Nature.
Monkey/CHUEN is the Weaver of Time, illustrated with “time rolled up” on its head. CHUEN LOVES everything about its own Consciousness, the store of experience, and the Gift of Time Travel. CHUEN can inspire us to SEE how Divine it is that we can go back and “experience again.” AND, we can even go forward and “experience” what has yet to be. The nahaul of the Monkey reflects the Highest State of Consciousness in the animal kingdom.
The Monkey is the Master of all Arts, motivated by its latest inspiration of Beauty. The Monkey doesn’t play by Human rules. It rarely finishes what it starts, before it sees something even MORE beautiful. CHUEN reminds us to start small and follow Beauty where it goes. Creation begets creation. One small Act of Love can change our Heart, and Human can create a Cause to Multiply the Creation of Love to Abundance. If we are doing ANYTHING we Love, the Power of Love can lead us from a “mud pie” to the Highest Mission of our Life.
The Cherokee Day Sign is the Raccoon, another “trickster” that knows “beauty beyond the surface.” The Raccoon steals the discarded treasures, knowing the application of a little Water will shine them up as good as new. Both the Monkey and the Raccoon see the paradox of Truth that when we face our Fear of Darkness is the very moment when we’re prepared to See the Light. When we finally Remember a Divine Agency, our state of mind is changed from “what is Not” to “what CAN BE.”
Under the guidance of the Monkey and the Raccoon, we’re likely to see the foolishness of our old ways. The Divine Tricksters encourage us to have a laugh. It would be too depressing to face the Whole Truth of our Human limitations any other way. The fact that we don’t like it is the proof of our Higher Intentions.
On Tone 2 we are conceiving a way we could complete our Highest Work of Love. How can we trick our own Consciousness to follow thoughts of Faith to reach the a Truth of Love that is shared by the Whole?
To create a New Life our “life stories” have to change. The Monkey shares the Light that we CAN go back to the Beginning. We can come up with “way better” stories than the ones we’ve been telling for years. You would have thought I lived the most horrible childhood, and I did (LOL). Though on subsequent inspection, I remembered my Mother passed down a gift of music, making sure I learned to play the piano. I never mentioned that in the old stories. No matter how bad our childhood, the experience shared the Wisdom of Love. If we go back and can’t find a thing, we can still claim that we learned what “Love was NOT.”
The Elders say the way to Higher Consciousness is through the Vigilance to “track the mind.” We can see things more than one way, regardless of which way we believe as Our Truth. We were given the Consciousness to see a Higher and Lower Way for every Choice we make. We ALWAYS have a Divine Angel on our shoulder. We KNOW “right from wrong.” If we only chose what we already know as the Higher Way, our path through Life would be strewn with the Beauty of Love. It’s curious why we don’t, though it’s what our Human Nature is inclined to do when we’re not paying attention to our own thoughts. The Monkey helps us see how cool it is that we can DIRECT them to manifest a Creation of Beauty as a State of Mind.
We can look to the ways of a Supreme Being of the Highest Consciousness who existed quietly in the Darkness, taking in a Light of ALL Possibility. When all the possibilities of Love became endless, the Overflow demanded a 2nd thing in Relationship to share a Sacred Exchange to Balance by Light. We have the Consciousness of Choice to see things from both sides. Monkey/CHUEN holds the curiosity to know a Different Truth in another Time and Place.
One Tone 2 we feel our Separation from the One. Not One Human Being likes the separation between us. This was never a Dream. We can still remember a time we Loved. The memories of Love Lasts on both sides. When human’s think Love is “impossible” we’re prepared to see a Miracle of Love we never imagined.
We don’t have to know how. We are being guided by a Divine Agency and Miracles happen at the threshold of Human limitations.
To all my relations, may we leave the ways and means to a Divine Creator and choose to believe in the Power of Love. May we Hold to the Fundamental Truth that Love was Created for the Balance. If the Love we can see doesn’t balance all the Darkness we remember, there’s Still More Love to be Seen. May we at least have some curiosity to imagine how Beautiful this Light Must Be that would lead us to claim we Love our Whole Life.
May we not take Life so seriously. Happiness doesn’t depend on being “right.” It’s the Answer to a Prayer. We don’t have to be perfect, when we reach the Wisdom of Unconditional Love. May we Remember the Dream Above, when 2 are born again as 1 through a Power of Divine Trinity.

2 Monkey Chuen (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI )
Galactic Tone 2: Duality; Mysterious as the question “to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.
Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the May as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. It is also considered to be one of the most fortunate and lucky day signs.
Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: The Racoon Symbol is Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy. Magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart.
