4 Reed / BEN – The Work of Love: Day 4 of 13

THE TRECENA OF DOG/OC: A JOURNEY TO LOVE

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

4 Reed / BEN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 4 is a force of Stability that lays a foundation for Spiritual Growth. Tone 4 builds the Pillars of Faith for the Dream of our Creation. Tone 4 is represented as the Cube, the most stable of all forms. The boundaries and parameters define a body of thought as the “rules of our game.”

The Saints reminded us that Life is worth fighting for to the end. They witnessed the Truth of Life and Death and share the Wisdom of the Experience. In the Remembering, we’re guided to claim the Life that carries on.

Reed/BEN is the Guiding Light of Family and Home with particular interest on the Children of a New Generation. When we create a Family, the Light of New Possibilities inspires us to walk the walk. Reed/BEN is that state of mind Human holds to share a Light of Wisdom with the next generation. Whether they are our own children or not, a Spark within wants to share an easier way we learned by our own experience.

The glyph illustrates an altar with channels to a Light of Divine Communion, shining on the thatched prayer mats below. An altar is the place for an Offering, where we count our blessings in Humility. Reed/BEN holds very high expectations and Faith to believe in our own Truth. Though, Patience is required to see the Light we were intended to share.

Reed/BEN comes with a lesson to lead with a “garden hose” and not with a “steel pipe.” We aren’t intended to share our Own Truth for everyone else to  believe. We are meant to share the “Power of Believing in our own Divine Communion and Answered Prayers.” We pour out the Blessings of Light when we See and Acknowledge the Light of Divine Wisdom held in EVERY heart.

Children can teach us a thing or two. They hold the Wisdom of Innoscence to believe in their Dreams. We teach them “not to believe” in themselves when we use a “steel pipe.”  Children thrive when someone Sees and Acknowledges how “bright” they are.

I was a caretaker when my children were small. It was hard not to jump in and save them when they put a homework project off until the last moment. A smart counselor offered me another perspective. When we jump in to fix something, we are saying, “this is something you can’t do by yourself.” We have to allow children the experiences to learn the Truth of a world below. Humility is the only way. The “lead pipe” is “I told you so.” The “garden hose” is “What would you recommend as a better way?” Humility Feels like Unconditional Love to a child.

El Santuario de Chimayo in Chimayo, N.M. Known as the “Lourdes of America,” hundreds of thousands of people visit the adobe chapel where, some believe, the dirt inside has healing powers. We hold the Power to Create our Own Sanctuary for an altar within. The Dream is Real in the realm of our imagination. What is created in any realm is balanced in all others. To build a foundation for our Faith to Stand we are guided to Create a Sanctuary Within, a place where the Whole Family is Welcomed in Harmony and Equity. We draw the Light of Wisdom from the children when we ask them what they believe about the One Above. Our Human Heart’s Desire is to know it as a Real Reality. All Dreams are Real. The Transformation beyond Human understanding is a tangible experience.

We weren’t meant to tell others what they should believe. The Joy of the Journey is figuring it out. What we CAN do is lead them to an altar. We can be the Leader for a Family by believing in our own prayers on behalf of the Whole.

Reed/BEN resides in the East (Light) offering the Divine Inspiration of the Creator. Holding the Element of Fire, Reed/BEN can manifest a Change of Heart. The Elders say that to Open the Channel to Divine Inspiration, Human has to become the “hollow bone.” The flesh of our Ego must be burned away to see the Whole Picture from Above. By our Human Nature we always have to have physical proof. The Family WILL see the Proof of Love when we make an altar the Central Light of our Home, and when that’s where we go to kneel in Humility. On our knees, a new generation will see the Power of Love that transforms all our human limitations.

4 Reed/BEN guides a way of stability through the Light of Truth we will always Know in Divine Communion. We can Create a Sanctuary there for the One to manifest a Power of Divine Trinity. For every Dream we hold for our Self, we can pray for another Unseen One who holds the same Heart’s Desire. We’re not the only one. The Elders say that what we heal in our Self, we can Heal for the Whole.

To the left of the altar in Santuario Chimayo chapel is the room where visitors gather holy dirt. The adjoining room is filled with portraits of those healed and being prayed for, and disgarded crutches. The Power of this Place is the Center of a Destination of Love, with Faith carried there from many directions.

To all my relations, may we remember the Power of our own Prayers. May we Remember we are all on our own Road in our own Time and Place. Every place WE’VE been led us to where we are today. Others deserve the Blessings of Knowing they hold the Divine Consciousness to figure things out.

May we apply an Intention of Humility to honor the Wisdom shared by others. May we not try to add to it, feel a need to approve or disapprove of it. The Work is just to Listen. We don’t have to agree. We express Love when we See and Acknowledge there is another perspective. At worst/best we can say, “That’s something to think about.” The Elders say that everything wants to be Seen and Acknowledged. (Funny, how the Human ego, sees that as such a sacrifice.)

May we track our own thoughts to SEE our own RESISTANCE to Love, when someone sees things from a Different Time and Place. Are there any times in your life when someone wants your attention/approval, and for some reason, you just don’t want to give it – because, somewhere there’s a point of disagreement? Our Human Ego can impose rules for approval and love. May we build the Pillars of Faith in our Self with a strategy to Live and Let Live, and Acknowledge an Equal Light shining within the Whole. May we Honor everyone’s Time and Place on the Journey, and Remember the places we’ve been that led us here.

May we allow our Self to be Seen in the Truth of our own limitations, and the place we go to Remember the Divine Provision of our Answered Prayers. It’s said that when you follow a path to an altar (Reed), you will always end up in the Light.

in lak’ech, I am another you

4 Reed/BEN (Cherokee, Reed I’hya)

Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.

Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeavor to bring peace, harmony, and order to all of their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a log of appreciation, many have a marriage or business problems because of inflexible views and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson of Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe.

Cherokee Cherokee, Reed I’hya: Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini.  Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind.  A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.
