Spaceweather – X-Class Solar Flare

SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 03/30/2023

ANOTHER X-CLASS SOLAR FLARE: This is becoming routine. The sun just produced another X-class solar flare, the 7th of 2023. The X1.2-category explosion came from sunspot AR3256 near the sun’s southwestern limb.

Radiation from the flare ionized the top of Earth’s atmosphere, causing a strong shortwave radio blackout over southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Ham radio operators may have noticed loss of signal and other propagation effects below 30 MHz for as much as an hour after the peak of the flare (March 29th @ 0233 UT).

A faint CME left the sun after the explosion. NOAA analysts have determined that it will miss Earth–no impact.

The real significance of this flare may be the number “7.” That’s the total number of X-flares in all of 2022. With today’s flare, the sun has already matched that total in 2023–and it’s only March.

Aurora Seen in Southern Oklahoma

Details:

A rare sight in Oklahoma. I knew the slim possibility existed for aurora this far south on the night of March 23rd but when it happened I was completely in awe. First I saw a stable auroral red (SAR) arc ( diffuse red band high in the sky) in long exposure test shots then right as it got very dark, the northern horizon erupted in pillars I could see with my naked eyes. I was shaking, it had been so long since I had seen the beautiful aurora in person, it almost felt like a dream. Being set up with my foreground for red sprites and storms to my south and east, I only had grass and trees to the north. Still, I think this shot captured the essence of the moment. I was completely engulfed in the sky scene. Maybe excitedly cursing a little, maybe overwhelmed with the technical aspect of catching this all on camera, but I definitely had a lump in my throat as emotions welled inside. Nature is always so giving.

11 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI)

Definitions written by Ian Xel Lungold

Galactic Tone 11: Resolution; 11 assists every new thing to find its place in the universe in the process of ‘fitting in.’ some modifications must occur. Eleven is the energy of dynamic actions facilitating change, simplification and improvement.

Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.

Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoon is full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy. Magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart.

The Raccoon is a trickster like the Monkey. They are not above stealing treasures that Humans threw in the trash. They shine them up like new, using the Gift of Living water.
