Kōlam: Feeding a Thousand Souls
Kōlam is a daily women’s ritualistic art form created by Tamil Hindu women throughout Tamil Nadu in southeastern India. Each day before dawn, during the Brahma muhurtam (believed to be the time when Brahma and all other deities descend to the earth) and sometimes before dusk, millions of women in the town, villages and the cities of Tamil Nadu (and Pondicherry) draw kōlam on the thresholds and floors of houses, temples and businesses. In Tamil culture, the threshold is of great significance as the meeting point of the internal and the external and kōlam is one of the many manifestations of that significance. Source: Sahapedia
Greetings Beloved Kin,
Number 13, as the symbol of Answered Prayers, relates to the gift of theurgy – a power offered to Human through ritual and sacred ceremony to call upon Divine Agency to intervene in Human affairs. Rituals and ceremony are prayers that create Sound and Vibration. There’s an unlimited number of ways to carry it out.
Rituals bring our Communion with a Divine Creator to Life and can connect us to Love in the Universe. I love the tradition of the Kolam for the idea of “feeding a thousand souls.” Divine rituals are simply a practice of moving for the higher intention of Love.
To change our subconscious mind requires an experience made “real.” All the ceremonies and rituals shared by the Elders can be carried out in a tangible way, or can be carried out in Spirit. If all the blessings of a Divine Creator were intended to be offered in Harmony and Equity, then it has to be the Truth. Those who are affirmed or had no means to carry it out, are the ones who most need for an experience of Divine Communion that’s “real.” Surely, a Divine Father of Creation made a way through Spirit for that.
The Elders said that their ways were “proven and worthy tools,” for us to use until we created our own ways. The Highest Ways are personal ways – you know exactly what every step means to you. It’s always the matter of Intention, the Reasons, that create an experience that can elevate your thoughts and draw you into closer relationship with the Creator. It’s one thing for me to make my offering to the birds in the morning, and another to Remember the Reason is Love while I carry it out.
Pilgrimages are important sacred ceremonies. We all can’t afford to go to the sacred sites in the world, but we can all take a pilgrimage of Spirit. A pilgrimage is a journey for the Intention of Spirit and Divine Communion that has a beginning and an end. You could take a pilgrimage anywhere. It’s a matter of being conscious of a Beginning, and looking for all the signs and symbols as you go. You can carry a question of Spirit along with the Dream of knowing the Creator’s answer at the end. It’s the Reason you go.

We can create a ritual and sacred ceremony of any meal. You could express your gratitude for your life, well-being, and gift of a human body as a ritual. Create one meal by intention when you choose what you would serve yourself. Bless the kitchen where it will be prepared. Bless the food that you prepare, remembering the life that is sacrificed, and all the hands that brought it to your table. Serve yourself as an offering, and offer the first perfect bite by Intention to the Spirits of the Whole.
Every experience of Love heals us. There are an unlimited number of ways to Create a Divine Sound in the Universe that reaches the Creator’s ears. It’s only a matter of “remembering an experience” that tells our subconscious mind it is a real experience of the Truth. It’s a Gift and a Blessing that is one step we can easily take to create a Divine Future.
We create a Sacred Ceremony with every candle we burn for a Divine Intention. Ritual and Ceremony draws us in to a Sanctuary within. It’s all a mattering of remembering the Intention and defining a reason at the beginning and the dream for the end.

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold, 12 Sun/AHAU, MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.
Dog/OC: Courageous, loyal and warm-hearted, very alert and valiant, people born of Dog are respected for their sense of justice and their protection. People born of the sun sign Dog are very sensual and know how to enjoy life. Playfulness and a good understanding of the basic human nature lead to prosperity for Dog. Dogs are good team players who love to travel and have a keen sense of their position in society. Dogs are ambitious and will take opportunities when they offer themselves, including infidelities. Dog persons share the nature of coyotes, spies, wolves and lawyers.
A GOOD DAY TO: ENJOY FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI: Wolf is symbolized by Sirius (Dog star) and Antares, one or the other always visible but never at the same time. Wolf is our brother, shares our very roots. All dogs are domesticated wolves, companionship and guidance. Wolves are a connecting link between the worlds; ones who inspire loyalty, diplomacy and sense of humor with unlimited potential. Wolf is the Day Sign of teachers, healers, pathfinders and transformers; sharp as obsidian, gentle as a lamb.
