The 13 Moon Dreamer Journey to Bring Forward the New Dawn of Spring

by Minisa Crumbo Halsey, 1 Wind/IK

The 13 Moon Dreamer Journey to Bring Forward the New Dawn of Spring … and to welcome a spiritual Mayan calendar community led by Debra Malmos, as our circles radiate in love and light for our beautiful and sacred beingness … AHO!

Dear Jaguar Woman and the larger Circle(s) of the Bodewadmin Longhouse,
Bozho, my relations:

Altar construction is SO valuable a teaching to initiate and incorporate into the personal but essentially, collective main stream intuitive consciousness pool. Kiche Migwech … that we begin this mailing with reading and the context of this companion Mayan Calendar, daily inspirational teaching – Go to: jaguarspirit.com, by Debra Malmos, a long time ceremonial member of the sacred two legged community who has done many things with us, here on the land at the Spirit Horse Ranch. She now lives and works in the NW.

You, your larger circle and the beyond Dreamers, were remembered and spoken of last evening as we gathered to conclude a 7 day quiet time, to initiate a Journey into the 13 Moons forward and construct a personal, inner Medicine Wheel altar by which to positively support ours and all life.

Eve of the Eagle/MEN Trecena: Ceremony of Initiation

Initiating Ourselves into the Eagle/MEN Trecena

Sacred Ritual allows us to create a physical representation of something in Spirit. Through ritual we are able to establish a relationship with Spirit that can be experienced in the physical world.

My first offering for the new Ceremonial Arts page is a Ceremony of Initiation. The Ritual offers a traditional way to initiate ourselves into a new beginning. This is ritual that can be used at the beginning of each trecena, or at the beginning of every new day.

Visit the Ceremonial Arts Page
Details of the Ceremony are offered on the Ceremonial Arts page, linked on the Main Menu under Medicine Path.

SUMMER — the 21 Days before Autumn Begins

SUMMER — the 21 Days before Autumn Begins

by Minisa Crumbo Halsey

July, 14, 2014

The night after the Capricorn Full Moon is velvety black and silent. The moon casts the weakest of shadows and illuminates nothing beneath the trees and the following morning is still and quiet.

The Summer Suns begins to move us into the edges of all twilight. The Summer Sun leads us forward into the Autumn by softening the fiery mental resolves and physical intentions, by sponsoring the moist marriage hearts urge to seed and all the while, the Sun Spirit slowly continues winding the cyclical fibers of being upon the spool of spiral time, drawing us forward, binding the drying stalks and fruits into sheaves of harvest.

Personal Ceremony

monkey-altarGreetings Kin,

During times of significant transitional energy we may find comfort through a practice of sacred ceremony. Minisa shares tradition from the Medicine Wheel path on holding a personal 4-day sacred ceremony.

A Medicine Teaching on Personal Ceremony

by Minisa Crumb Halsey

Optional: partial fast suggestion for four days of A Good Red Road Ceremony of offering our minds, hearts, and bodies upon the Staff of the Good Red Road of the summer-winter axis. Consider placing the spine upon the Mother Earth, floor or bed and surrendering our spinal beingness to the Creator for initiating Unity movements WHILE INTENTIONALLY RECALLING THE ABOVE OBSERVATIONS. This activity, when activated in a sacred manner opens the potential of reunification and the re-membering of ancient, lost and disparate aspects of the self, the causes of which are not our fault. Ceremony Update: Eve of Serpent/CHICCHAN

Adjusting to the Direction of South

The Fine Points and Broad Encompassing Curves of the Medicine Wheel

A Message for the Trecena of Serpent/CHICCHAN
by Minisa Crumbo Halsey

trees5xBy the calendar of the natural world we completed the first quarter of summer sometime within the elastic middle of May, three weeks from the energetic ingress of summer.

Often, the last three weeks of a season and the first three weeks (21 days), will display classic transitional patterns so look for the unusual in everything. The unusual may be connected with completing , seating or initiating both the 21 days marking the ending and beginning of seasonal transitions. There may be a push-pull dynamic which can result in a kind of stasis or stop action so listen to the mind, heart, body and spirit message that may be distracted or feelings of overwhelm… set intention to honor and take mindful care of the whole system. These fine points do require the attention of time, rest and thought. Take refuge in silence and solitude when possible. There may also be concurrent rapid change and growth which can stretch and near exhaust resources and reserves and when the two follow closely upon one another, overlap or stack, it is time to call TIME OUT!  No one can really do this to or for us as well as we can ourselves and often, carefully planned timeouts will not even be noticed. Repair, nourishment of all kind, and restoration are a wise (and enjoyable) course to integrate into the busiest and most demanding season of the year.

13 Seed/KAN – Commanding our Destiny

13 Seed/KAN

13 Seed/KAN

Greetings Kin,

I forgot to mention that Night/AKBAL represents the element of water – and, a day that could engage our emotions. Yesterday took on an unexpected sensitivity for the goodness of you. I can’t help loving everyone of you, just because we all share this hard road of life. Every one of you has been an encouragement to me to pursue my dreams.

Today is our ascension from the trecena of Road/EB, the road of our destiny. I’ve never felt so sure that life is all about the journey. Our Divine Destiny can be found living in every moment. Everything we need to feel joy is always available at our own command.

8 Storm/CAUAC – Commanding our Destiny

8 Storm/CAUAC

8 Storm/CAUAC

Greetings Kin,

The glaring Truth delivered to me by Flint/EZTNAB was a reflection of the reality of darkness in the world. Once in a while, I feel compelled to take a stroll through the news. Storm/CAUAC brings a resolution to our hard realities.

Storm/CAUAC embodies the feeling of warmth and security in the home while the tempest rages in the outside world. There will always be challenges and hard truths. How it affects the Road to our Destiny will depend on our strategy.

8 Earth/Caban – Life Source

8 Earth/Caban (Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI)

8 Earth/CABAN

8 Earth/CABAN

Galactic Tone 8: Harmony and balance are the intent of eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below”. From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “neat freaks”.

Earth/Caban: Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.

Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement, of perpetual motion, recycling, regeneration; environmentalists fighting for the underdog. Heron is mentally alert, rational, yet opinionated; has a great faith in people and in the divine plan, holding the magic of ministry, medicine, marketing and matchmaking; healing abilities, especially with crystals; negotiation and mediation energy. Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way.

“The Northern Cross is the Tree of Life, Beside the Milky Way River & Perched atop is Guwi’ sguwi, the Cherokee Heron Spirit Bird, comparable to the Egyptian Phoenix. One Myth has it that a Beautiful Young Maiden (the Heron Spirit Bird) fell from the Tree of Life in the Sky Vault, & Found no Place to Land on the Primordial Sea. Turtle came to the Surface of the Water & gave her a Place to Land. She nested & Laid her Cosmic Egg, From which came all Life on Earth.” (Cherokee Astrology: Animal, Medicine in the Stars, Raven Hail)

Life Source

Tone 8 brings harmony and balance to our world of Earth/CABAN. Inspired by Wisdom/CIB, we can now draw on ancient wisdom to bring new order to our lives and new balance to our relations. Returned to the source of our beginnings, once again we can draw from the ‘knowing’ that we are all connected. The path of nature carries us through our lives and around again to its beginning to transform us into something new.

Earth’s energy is a source we may draw upon to anchor our Spirit center. In traditional practice this may be done by setting sacred shrines in each of the 4 directions, each the same distance from the Center (your home or a sacred space). A stone or other medicine object is buried in the Earth at each location with the blessing of cornmeal, tobacco, water, and prayers offered to the ancestors and to the 4 directions. All sacred ceremony may be performed in practice, or by intention in Spirit. The most powerful sacred ceremonies are the ones we create for ourselves.

To all my relations, may I be given new eyes to see the blessings of Mother Earth – so that I may honor the beauty that surrounds me in every direction, and the sustenance and source of every living thing.

21 Days of Gratitude, Day 2

Since yesterday’s post suggested 21 Days of Gratitude, I took my own advice and will be sharing these 21 Days with you… this is Day TWO!   Jaguar Woman

6 Offering/Muluc/Moonoffering2

Galactic Tone 6: Six is responsiveness and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.

Offering/Muluc is also known as the sign of water. Ceremonially, Maya use water as an offering in baptisms and purifications. These ceremonies are done to bring about a collective strength, adaptability and harmony. In sincere appreciation, Offering people gladly give more than they ask for themselves. Offering persons are dynamic communicators with great intelligence. Like a shaken vessel of water Offering people regain equilibrium quickly.  Mayan Majix

Mitakuye Oyasin, All my Relations

In the traditional ways of the Medicine Circle a Sacred Offering would be preceded by honoring all that have gone before, the Grandfathers, Grandmothers, as well as the Great Spirit, the Four Directions, the Above and Below. In humility, one would establish the intention that the Offering be given in a most respectful way.

Muluc/Offering can stir the emotions as it relates to water and the Moon. At the core of Offering is another opportunity for gratitude, expressed as humility. We are who we are because of all that is and all that has gone before – every person and every experience was important to our becoming.

Make an offering and give thanks in the name of… all that you are grateful for.
