SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: August 12, 2024 (Updated)
STRONG GEOMAGNETIC STORMS: Strong G3-class geomagnetic storms are underway on Aug. 12th in response to multiple CME impacts. Auroras have been spotted in more than 30 US states as as far south as Texas, Colorado and California. At the moment the storm shows no sign pf abating, so it could continue into the night of Aug. 12-13.

“Last night, pulsating auroras hung over our heads for more than an hour,” reports Elżbieta Haftek, who sends this picture froom Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
“The pillars of colors were easily seen from my backyard,” says Haftek. “I took these pictures using only my iPhone 14. It was so bright that even videos came out really vivid.”

Tonight here in New Zealand we had a front row seat for what promised to be an exciting display of the southern lights. I headed off to my usual observing perch, but found it too crowded. So drove to a remote area of the Otago Peninsula and was delighted to see a wonderful display of the Aurora Australis, which was topped off by one of the best displays of STEVE i have ever seen. I also got to enjoy seeing an SAR arc crossing the moon!

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural networkers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.
Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Many become care takers of the poor, sick, or old people, where they may make personal sacrifices. Road is sometimes referred to as the sign of grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger.
