SPACEWEATHER: Comet Falling Into the Sun, CME Auroras, and the Sun Today

SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 10/27/2024

A COMET IS FALLING INTO THE SUN: Comet ATLAS (C/2024 S1) is falling into the sun. Look in the lower right corner of this Oct 26th coronagraph movie from the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO):

Not to be confused with Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, Comet ATLAS is a Kreutz sungrazer, a family of comets that are fragments from the breakup of a single giant comet ~1000 years ago. SOHO has discovered thousands of them, almost all disintegrating near the sun.

Comet ATLAS is special because astronomers thought it might be larger than average Kreutz comets, with the potential to put on a magnificent display like Kreutz Comet Ikeya-Seki in 1965. Instead, it looks fairly ordinary. Comet ATLAS will probably disintegrate completely when it comes within 0.008 AU of the sun on Oct. 28th. Stay tuned for updated movies.

‘THE SKY EXPLODED’: A CME gently grazed Earth’s magnetic field on Oct. 26th. At first it seemed like nothing would happen. Then, “the sky exploded,” says Terence Murtagh, who took this picture using his iPhone 16 outside Tromso in Norway:

“In many decades of viewing and photographing auroras, I’ve never seen so many spectacular bright multicoloured coronas bursting over the sky,” he says. “I couldn’t believe my eyes as a small group of us were transfixed by this cosmic kaleidoscope. It was probably caused by the tail of the weak CME.”

Indeed it was–which means a similar CME due to arrive on Oct. 28th could cause a repeat light show. Arctic sky watchers, submit your photos here.

GEOMAGNETIC STORM WATCH (G1): Yesterday’s X1.8-class solar flare hurled an impressive CME into space. Although the bulk of the CME will miss Earth, there is an Earth-directed component. NOAA and NASA models predict that the CME’s flank will strike Earth on Oct. 28th, potentially sparking G1-class geomagnetic storms.

Sunspots 3869 and 3873 have both produced X-class solar flares in the past few days. More X-flares are probably in the offing. Credit: SDO/HMI

Mayan Time

What we focus on as the object of our affection will be multiplied  to Abundance. What’s on your mind? It’s a lucky day if you are focusing on thoughts of Divine Trinity. 3 Star/LAMAT is the first Day of movement in this 13-day cycle. The Intention we hold at the beginning will be sustained to the end. Time is ordered to Pray for what you want and Give Thanks for the Promise of Answered Prayers. LAMAT is represented by Venus, the symbol of the Scion. We can create order from chaos through an Intention to be a personification of the Creator’s Light. CIMI is a cycle that raises our consciousness to the comfort of the Holy Spirit, “God with us.”

TRECENA OF TRANSFORMER/CIMI: Transition from Death to a New Life

The Highlights, Peak Energies, and Times of Synchronicity for this trecena are included on the  13-Day Trecena Guide.

The “Tzolk’in Field Guide” is my gift to download that includes the Count of Days with the aspects for each Destiny Kin and highlights for a personal practice with each trecena. It’s designed as a companion for daily practice.

Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide. to download a free copy. Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in, and Volume 2 covers the 3rd and 4th to the end of the Tzolk’in round.

Transformer/CIMI is the 1st trecena of the 2nd season of the Tzolk’in round, found in Volume 1. There’s something more to see when you discern the Truth for yourself.

Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.

Star/LAMAT: Star energy is multiplication of all things to abundance. Star has been associated with the fertility of rabbits for its ability to multiply. As each sun in the sky, Star persons shine equally in all directions. This natural tendency of harmony and balance can become compulsion, motivating Star to be too agreeable and too generous, rejected gifts cause fear and resentment. When a Star believes it has been given too much, they are weakened or may even collapse. In this “Black Hole” state, Stars are prone to verbal jousting and arguing to force their point of view on everyone.

A GOOD DAY TO: Ask for Abundance in all Relations.

Cherokee, Rabbit/NOQUI’SEGWA: Symbol-Venus, The Morning Star cycle of 260 days and Evening Star cycle of another 260 days, inspired the 13 numbers, 20 Day sign Sacred Calendar. Rabbit is the Trickster of Cherokee culture, matching the Coyote in other nations. The personification of Light and New Life, Sunrise, the scion (a first-generation descendant) of the Moon-Father of earth children, the Rabbit is fertility, be fruitful and multiply. Represents softness, gentleness and vulnerability. LAMAT– Totem Rabbit. Energies of re-birth, regeneration, ripening, harvest and abundance. This person is overflowing with love energy in all areas of life. Spiritual growth is natural and with ease due to the unconditional love energy that flows.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
