SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 11/14/2024
A SOLAR WIND STREAM IS AFFECTING EARTH: Today, a stream of solar wind is grazing Earth’s magnetic field. It’s not a fast-moving stream, but it is affecting our planet. Note the red-boxed region in this graph of solar wind data from NASA’s ACE spacecraft:
The red box highlights south-pointing magnetic fields in the solar wind stream. These south-pointing fields are partially canceling our planet’s north-pointing magnetic field. Resulting weak points (sometimes called “magnetic cracks”) allow solar wind to enter Earth’s magnetosphere, fueling geomagnetic unrest and Arctic auroras.
20% CHANCE OF X-FLARES: Remember, Groundhog Day? Today’s forecast feels a little like that movie. Once again, AR3889 is threatening to produce an X-class solar flare without actually producing one. The sunspot has an unstable ‘beta-gamma-delta’ magnetic field that could explode at any moment. NOAA forecasters estimate a 20% chance of X-flares on Nov. 14th.
Rush Hour Satellite Traffic

RUSH HOUR SATELLITE TRAFFIC: There are now more than 10,000 active satellites in Earth orbit. Dan Bush of Albany, Missouri, photographed dozens of them during “satellite rush hour” on Nov. 12th.
“I’ve posted several videos on YouTube recently showing the crowded skies full of satellites as filmed by the Missouri Skies automated meteor cameras,” says Bush. “This is a star trail image shot with a DSLR showing the busy traffic along my predawn eastern horizon.”
In this long exposure, the stars are trailing from lower left to upper right. Almost everything else is a satellite. “A group of recently launched Starlink satellites can be seen forming the multiple (20+) parallel lines at center,” notes Bush.
No wonder the International Astronomical Union has set up a center for the protection of dark skies from satellites. It’s a real problem–and it’s going to get worse.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT UPDATE: SPACEX AND CHINA SATELLITE INITIATIVES
The number of earth-orbiting satellites has been updated from 7,000 to 10,000 since the previous tally reported on my last post on Spaceweather Food for Thought. (So much for clear dark skies for watching the stars.)
The Above image is a worthy reference for comparison of what Satellite Rush Hour could look like when SpaceX has 42,000 satellites and China launches 40,000 satellites in accordance to their initiatives for “mega-constellations” of satellites in the near future. (Imagine 8 times the traffic.)
The new administration has indicated interest in cancelling NOAA, a fundamental USA resource for weather and spaceweather forecasts. Satellite launches require government approval, likely based in part on NOAA forecasts. We would also be at a loss for long-term weather predictions.
See NOAA 2024-2025 Winter Weather Predictions:
- Northwest and Central Northeast – Colder and Wetter than usual
- South – Warmer and Dryer than usual
(This is among the NOAA services we could just cancel. Who needs information that forecasts our climates anymore?)

TRECENA OF STORM/CAUAC: THE RENEWAL AND REGENERATION OF OUR SPIRIT
It only takes 13 days to see how Faith is always raised to Knowing the Truth of Answered Prayers. You only have to track your thoughts. Record the matters on your mind in a journal to see how your perspective is changed by a Divine Order of Thoughts.

8 Transformer/CIMI (Cherokee, Twins/ TAKATO’KA) – Day 8 of 13 of the 1 Storm/CAUAC Trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and FREE Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eights carefully weighs all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement ‘as above, so below,’ from simplicity to infinity, the energy of eight organizes all levels of creation, some eights are ‘neat freaks.’
Transformer/CIMI: Cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Transformer persons achieve goals and emotional wealth. Transformer people can become highly respected business persons. They have the ability to help others through any and all transitions with tranquility due to their spiritual strength and guidance. Communities often benefit from Transformers discipline and organization skills. They strengthen the life of pregnant women and guide them through the transitions of maternity. Establishing contact with the ancestors activates innate psychic abilities, gifts to be used as tools to assist others. Transformers can have the ability to send evil intentions telepathically, this is their undoing. From these acts they lose power, easily fall into a victim role and begin to manipulate with a vengeance.
A GOOD DAY TO: Tie all loose ends.
Cherokee, Twins/ TAKATO’KA: Twins symbolize the Female Sun and Male Moon, whose union keeps the world going round. Cherokee myth has the Morning Star heralding the Sun, Venus, also being the Evening Star as representing the TWINS. The energy brings major changes all throughout life, riding the tsunamis of earthquake and upheaval, making their own waves wherever they go. They undergo powerful transformations, alternating like a flashing neon sign. The challenge is to master Balance while experiencing Chaos leading to re-birth and abundance through infinity.
