NOT ALL OF THOSE LIGHTS WERE AURORAS: Last week’s severe geomagnetic storm sparked Northern Lights from Canada to the US Gulf coast. Upon closer inspection, not all of those lights were auroras. “I’ve never seen a streak like this before,” says Ken Wegmuller of Whistler, British Columbia, who photographed the phenomenon using a Sony A7IV:
This is STEVE–short for “Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement.”
Discovered by citizen scientists less than 10 years ago, STEVE looks like an aurora, but it is not. The phenomenon is caused by hot (3000°C) rivers of gas flowing through Earth’s magnetosphere at speeds exceeding 6 km/s (13,000 mph). These rivers, which flow during strong geomagnetic storms, produce a soft purple glow associated with nitrogen in the upper atmosphere.
ISS BUZZES THE MOON IN BROAD DAYLIGHT: On June 3rd, skywatchers in the Canary Islands witnessed a daylight transit of the International Space Station (ISS) across the face of the Moon. Photographer Marina Prol of Maspalomas captured the fleeting moment from the courtyard of her apartment building, where the ISS zipped in front of Mare Imbrium:
“Living on an archipelago, it’s rare to have the right conditions to capture a transit like this,” says Prol. A veil of Saharan dust might have helped. Earth-orbiting satellites captured a plume of dust approaching the Canary islands on the day Prol took her picture. Small amounts of dust can help stabilize the atmosphere and allow sharp single-frame photos like this.

If you are inspired by something today, remember, it’s only the 1st Sign of things to come. When we’re inspired by BIG IDEAS, it may feel like it’s too much to understand. Take it as 1st Sign. At first you may think it’s one thing, then it could turn out to be another that nobody but you has linked together before. You could be a garbage collector that buys Tesla trucks for pennies on the dollar and combines trash pickup and package delivering as one service, run from home by remote control. Anything is possible. (If you use that idea, you don’t have to give me credit. But, if it turns into a billion dollar enterprise, you could send me a little bonus.)
There are a lot of things you can do, better than anyone. You’re the only one with your experience and skillset. God knows how to match all your strengths for the Highest Cause. You hold the power to do something that is easy for you, that looks impossible to everyone else. We’re on the leading edge of Time, about to take off Soaring!

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.
Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.

Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy; magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee.
