The Chosen: A “Real Life” Story of Christ and his Disciples

An Offering to See Clearly

“The Chosen” is a series that presents the story of Christ and his disciples from a real-life perspective. Based on scripture, it offers a look at what it was like to be a follower and shares the stories of how each one was chosen. The Truth was they didn’t understand the end at the beginning. From the prophecies of the Old Testament, they thought that taking over the Roman Empire would be a Holy War. They didn’t know that the path would lead to the Crucifixion. Only Jesus knew the end.

The series has become a global phenomenon by means of it’s production funded by viewers, outside of the realm of a typical production company, free for everyone to see. Each disciple has a story. It’s been such a blessing to me, I wanted to share it with you as it begins it’s 5th season. Season 6 is already in production.

I recommend watching it from the beginning episode of the 1st Season. I want to see every episode again before I watch Season 5, though I will watch the first episode that is being released today.

Youtube offers a few episodes and lots of the commentary editions that explain the choices that were made in telling the stories. To see all the episodes you can download “The Chosen” App for free. Some episodes are also offered on Amazon Prime, though the wealth of resources, related scriptures for study are all contained on the App.

Today the 1st Episode of Season 5 is offered on YouTube.

7 Reed/BEN (Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA) – Day 6 of 13 of the  1 Deer/MANIK trecena

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in FREE CALCULATOR preserved on MayanMajix.com

Galactic Tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of Divine Will. With a keen sense of ethics, Seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.

Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeavor to bring peace, harmony and order to all of their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a lot of appreciation, may have marriage or business problems because of inflexible vies and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson for Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe.

A GOOD DAY TO: Bless or repair your house.

Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA: REED- Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini.  Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind.  A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.

    • Thank you for sharing the video link. We’ve been programmed for guilt and shame. The longing to be enough and have enough to belong was turned to a commercial enterprise. Thank you for sharing the link. It’s TIME for a Divine Mission. love, Debra

    • I didn’t know Matthew was a tax collector. He was the “IRS agent” that tracks every penny to impose the harshest penalties, despised by everyone. His transformation is one of the best stories for me too. Roumie gives such an epic portrayal of Jesus I’m not sure I’d want to see him in any other role. I love that they reveal religious icons as the real human beings they were, and what it meant for them to give their life for a Mission of Love. I’m grateful for the quality of the production and the intention behind it. It leads me back to the Bible to read the stories again, knowing what it meant to follow. Thanks for sharing your comment and link. love, Debra

      • True. I love how this show takes us back to our Bibles. I also love that Dallas runs his scripts by several clergy and biblical scholars of different faiths. He wants to be as clear and inclusive as possible without leading any astray from the core teachings.

  1. Absolutely love The Chosen…. Dallas and the team have truly brought the Gospels to life in such a powerful way. I’ve been deeply moved by every season and I can’t wait for Season 5 and beyond. What a gift this series has been 🙌🎬✨

    • The Chosen has brought the characters to life. They draw me back to the Bible to read again. Every episode has been a comfort to watch again. It is an anointed offering in all aspects of its production. I’m glad to hear you are enjoying it too. It’s a blessing to know a tribe of millions are viewing it. Thanks so much for the comment.
