Full Sturgeon Moon and What Makes It Special
The August 2025 Full Sturgeon Moon in Aquarius peaks August 9, at 2:55 AM CDT (5:55PM AEST (Australia). This is a special Full Moon for at least two reasons – esoterically, three:

In a rare skywatching treat, you can see August’s full Sturgeon Moon rise soon after sunset on both Saturday, Aug. 9 and Sunday, Aug. 10. (Source: LiveScience.org) - A Planetary Parade
The August Full Moon comes with a stunning lineup of 6 planets: Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Saturn will be glowing near the Moon in Pisces. On August 12, Saturn will get even closer to the Moon, at a distance of 3°33′. - Signs of Fluidity and Change
Both the Sturgeon Moon and its position in Aquarius are Water symbols of fluidity and change, though the Water Bearer, Aquarius, is actually an Air Sign pouring it’s blessings from Above. Symbols are doubled if you consider the peak time (55 minutes – 25 minutes in New Dehli (5×5). Symbol 55 is the Master Number of Empowerment for Change); and, Saturn stationed retrograde in Aries, diminishes the power of the “taskmaster planet” that strictly enforces the old rules. By Mayan calendar Time the Full Moon occurs in the 5th uinal of the Tzolk’in Human calendar, a cycle that empowers change. The change lean in favor of the Good, even if it take a while to see the effects.

The Full Sturgeon Moon was once a sign of plenty of fish. Now it’s a cautionary tale of diminishing supply due to over-fishing for Sturgeon caviar. That theme is doubled by the observance of the “Month of the Hungry Ghosts” in China. The Hungry Ghosts relate to greedy animalistic spirits, driven by excess that can never get enough of a good thing, at the expense of the whole. (Saturn may allow it for a time, though the consequences of greed or blessings of harmony will still come, after. Saturn retrograde enters Pisces, the Sign of Faith and Belief, Monday, Sep 01 2025 03:06, GMT-0500 (CDT) and will station direct Nov 27, 2025.

Meanwhile, on the eastern horizon, Venus and Jupiter will shine brightly together in Gemini. On August 12 they will reach a conjunction, separated by only 0°51′. Closer to the horizon, you can spot Mercury, positioned in Cancer.
On August 12, Venus and Jupiter, two brightest planets in the sky, will shine side by side. (Some call the conjunction a “marriage” of heart and mind.) These planets will appear extremely close — just 0°51′ apart — creating the best planetary pairing of the year. You’ll see them shining side by side in the morning sky, just before sunrise, and even from light-polluted areas, the sight will be impossible to miss. (Source: StarWalk)
The Perseid Meteor Shower

In the Northern Hemisphere, the Perseid meteors can appear anywhere in the sky, but their path will be traced back to the constellation Perseus. The point from which the meteors originate is called the radiant. The higher the radiant rises, the more meteors you see. To catch as many “shooting stars” as possible, target your observations around the time when the radiant is high in the sky. The Perseid meteor shower is active from July 17 to August 24 and reaches its maximum on August 12. This weekend they will be competing with the light of the Full Moon. What does a Perseids meteor sound like?

WHAT DOES A PERSEID METEOR SOUND LIKE? The Perseid meteor shower is underway and, although the peak is not until next week, already dozens of meteors may be seen gliding silently across the night sky. Emphasis on silently. However, Heiko Ulbricht of Freital, Germany, has found a way to hear them. Click to download and listen:
“This is an echo from the GRAVES space surveillance radar in France,” explains Ulbricht. “I recorded on Aug. 8th when a Perseid meteor passed over Europe.”
GRAVES is a radar France uses to monitor the space around Earth for satellites and space debris. While GRAVES is monitoring the heavens, Ulbricht is monitoring GRAVES. He uses a 143 MHz Yagi antenna and receiver to listen in to “pings” as objects pass over the radar site in neighboring France.
“The Perseids are already active,” he says, “and I plan to continue listening throughout the shower’s peak on August 12-13.” Stay tuned for more echoes.

GEOMAGNETIC STORMS TO CONTINUE TODAY: Geomagnetic storming is expected to continue on Aug. 9th as Earth’s magnetic field reverberates from a CME strike on Aug. 8th. It was just a glancing blow, so all of the storm activity so far has been minor (G1-class). High-latitude observers should be alert for auroras, although they may be hard to see in the full moonlight.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity
This is a Season of Signs related to the Harvest. Earth’s Lion’s Gate alignment is when the light of the Sun shines most directly upon Earth between the poles. Earth’s straightest alignment with her North/South poles, also expands a portal through which Earth receives the greatest Light of the Universe. All the Lights Above are calling us to look to the heavens. So are Humans putting on their show of over-indulgence as a “stellar experiment of unknown effect” as 500 satellites are descending into Earth’s atmosphere (ie. “Try it and see what happens.”).
What you make of it depends on what you look to see. The man-made lights above look like this. (Impressive, though it’s destroying Earth’s ozone and contaminating the sky.) Ghosts are hungry to conquer global communication with their mega-constellation of satellites, ultimately 40,000 planned from both SpaceX Starlink initiatives and 40,000 from China’s “Thousand Sails” project. Right now, the clutter emanates from about 7,500 existing satellites. China’s “sails” design disrupts Earth’s dark skies with a brighter light.

Seems like a battle between the Darkness and the Light. We’re called to keep our eyes trained on God’s heavenly Light that descends upon the Earth. Yesterday, 08/08, 2 Reed/BEN on the Tzolk’in calendar was a call for Humility and to lean not unto our own understanding. Reed/BEN represents and open channel for Spiritual Communion, and the Day sign in 13th Position, a symbol of Ascension and Answered Prayers. Today, 08/09, 3 Jaguar/IX is the Sign that Spirit holds the Power and Authority to Move us. The way is invisible, but we can see the footprints where God’s Spirit has been. To stand straight, like Earth, it’s Time for Forgiveness and a Reconciliation of Unconditional Love; and, it’s Time to be vigilant in the integrity of the Truth.
The invisible Spirit of God rules the Universe. But, be prepared for anything that may “appear” to contradict the Truth. It’s Time to pray, meditate on the Word, and offer Gratitude to the Lord of all Creation. Follow the Light of the Sun reflected by the Moon, like the planets on parade.

Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Jaguar/IX: Born with a deep love of the Mother Earth, Jaguar or shaman is directly tied to the source of all Earth magic. They possess great power of intellect and strength or character through integrity. Jaguar energy is feminine in nature and is the ruling spirit of jungles, plains, and mountains. The spirit of Jaguar inhabits the Mayan temples and is called on to assist in spiritual as well as in material ways. Jaguar is also the god/goddess of gratefulness.

Cherokee, Panther/SAHO’NI: Panther is symbolized by comets, meteors, shooting stars, fireballs, and magicians. Meteors appearing around the middle of November are Heralds of the Coming of the Light, the Cherokee New Year. Panther is the Shadow of the Sphinx, Herald of the Dawn, guardian of the night when the sun is traveling through the underworld. Panthers have unlimited imaginations, visualizations, and are spellbinding speakers. The Totem Jaguar is the guardian of the portals to other dimensions; shamanic abilities will open; multi-dimensional magic; healer, leader, way shower energy when used for spiritual growth. Abuse would be for using this power for control or negative purposes; must find a powerful balance.
