Potential for Cannable CMEs, Red Solar Prominences
Multiple Flares, though faint, could Connect as One before reaching Earth.

MULTIPLE CMEs COULD SPARK AURORAS TOMORROW: All week long, active sunspot 4246 has been puffing CMEs toward Earth–at least three of them. Although the CMEs are individually faint and relatively slow, they could combine to cause a G2-class geomagnetic storm when they arrive on Oct. 16th. If such a storm materializes, auroras could descend into a dozen or more northern-tier US states.
Red “Hydrogen Alpha” Light

WHY IS THIS PROMINENCE *SO* RED? In fact, all solar prominences are red. French astronomer Francois Rouviere photographed this magnificent specimen on Oct. 12th.
It’s red because red is the color of hot hydrogen gas. At temperatures typical of the sun’s lower atmosphere, hydrogen atoms transition between their 2nd and 3rd quantum energy states. The process releases photons of wavelength 656.3 nm–pure red to the human eye. It’s called “hydrogen alpha” light.
Prominences are masses of hydrogen held above the surface of the sun by magnetic fields. In this case, the magnetic topology resembles a giant tree. The prominence became unstable and erupted on Oct. 13th, so this red forest has vanished.

“This nice prominence is seething on the western limb of the sun today,” says Wilson, a frequent photographer of the sun. “I’ve just built a new windowsill mount for my hydrogen-alpha scope. No more trailing kit into the garden in midwinter for me – just open the window, set up and observe in warmth!”

SDO RESOURCES UPDATE
The SDO web server has had a hardware failure with its data storage, so some features and data are temporarily unavailable. Due to the lapse in federal government funding, NASA is not updating this website. (The last update was September 13, 2025, with the image of the Butterfly Coronal Hole’s major eruption of Solar Winds.)
Offering thanks and appreciation for worldwide observatories, the European Space Agency (EPA), and the work of amateur astronomers for working in unity to provide alternative sources of Space Weather News.
3I/ATLAS will reach perihelion October 21, 2025, where it will be too close to the Sun for observation. Astronomers are awaiting it’s reappearance near October 29, 2025, when we will have a closest view to see what it is. Let’s hope all eyes will be opened again and the US approves the budget for NASA funding.
MAYAN CALENDAR TIME AND SYNCHRONICITY
IMIX is the First One, the Alpha to the Omega of Sun/AHAU, and Red is the Color of the Day. Red represents the Fire of Spirit. IMIX is the beginning and the First Light of the Dawn of a New Awakening. It could be a coincidence, though IMIX is the Day for receiving the Creator’s Light of Inspiration… as repeating “wild ideas” that come in random order out of the blue.
It’s a Day for “radio silence.” To hold the Power of Divine Inspiration we guided to hold the Light close to our chest. Don’t share your wild ideas. People may be inclined to share their wild ideas. God’s inspiration is personal. No one else will understand. Don’t rain on someone’s parade. Direct thoughts to the Source of Light for Dreams that are meant to come true. God will reveal the Truth that speaks for itself. Don’t depend on another Human Being for validation or as the “ultimate source” for your discernment of the Truth. You and God are the only Ones who know the Truth of Your Time and Place.
5 IMIX holds the Intention of Empowerment from Above and a Day to pray for Good Sense and Reason. Don’t chase the first wild idea you see. The Alpha is the Sign of Truth at the beginning that leads to the Creator’s end. God will provide the Truth if we Ask, then Wait and Look to see.

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural net workers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.
Crocodile/IMIX: Crocodile receives messages of primal creative force; simply the beginning of all things. Crocodiles who follow their hearts are seen as genius. There is no order to the primal messages, so Crocodile persons should direct their energies toward practical and cooperative efforts to bring productive results. Crocodiles have a strong nurturing energy and will work hard to provide security to family and friends. Being extremely territorial, Crocodiles must watch not to be over protective or too dominating. While in these states, Crocodiles are insecure, indecisive and emotionally volatile.
