X-CLASS SOLAR FLARE (PERHAPS THE FIRST OF MANY): We were expecting an X-flare today, but this one surprised us anyway. At 0249 UTC, new sunspot 4295 produced an X2-class solar flare, shown here in an extreme ultraviolet image from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory:
The surprise? The flare did not come from giant sunspot group 4294-96 now emerging in the sun’s southern hemisphere. The actual source, northern sunspot 4295, appeared to be small and harmless until it exploded.
The flare ionized Earth’s upper atmosphere and caused a shortwave radio blackout directly above Australia. A coronal mass ejection (CME) is in the offing as well. Details await fresh data from SOHO and NOAA coronagraphs.
With multiple sunspots posing a threat, more X-flares are very likely this week.
Emerging Active Region: One of the biggest sunspot groups in 10 years
GIANT SUNSPOT ALERT: Sunspot complex 4294-96 is so big, it won’t fit in a single photo. “I had to combine two panels to capture the massive complex,” says Amrit Seecharan, who sends this mosaic from Chaguanas, Trinidad.
This is one of the biggest sunspot groups of the past 10 years. From end to end, it measures ~180,000 km, and at least five of the dark cores are individually larger than Earth. These dimensions make it an easy target for safely-filtered backyard telescopes. If you don’t have a solar filter, try this simple projection technique. Either way, it is spectacular.

The Creator is the Source of every Good thing. Our Faith is restored through a Direct One on One experience. 13 is the symbol of the Answer to a Prayer at the end of every climb toward the Light of the Holy Spirit.
Dwell in the Light. Turn away from doubts and fears and “let it go.” The Creator completes the Dream of Divine Trinity.

Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Star/LAMAT: Star energy is multiplication of all things to abundance. Star has been associated with the fertility of rabbits for its ability to multiply. As each sun in the sky, Star persons shine equally in all directions. This natural tendency of harmony and balance can become compulsion, motivating Star to be too agreeable and too generous, rejected gifts cause fear and resentment. When a Star believes it has been given too much, they are weakened or may even collapse.
