SPACEWEATHER: Incoming CMEs and Full Wolf Moon Light

The Effect of the Full Moon’s Light

SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 01/03/2026

NIGHT OF THE FULL WOLF MOON: This photo looks like it was taken in broad daylight. In fact, it’s 100% Wolf moonlight:

“I did not need my headlamp,” says Dr. Tony Phillips, a space weather forecaster who moonlights as a backcountry dogsledder. After sunset on Jan. 2nd, he took a team of three Alaskan huskies into the mountains near Lake Sabrina, California. The nearly full Moon flooded the landscape with so much light, a 2-second cell phone exposure turned night into day.

According to folklore, this weekend’s full Moon is the Wolf Moon. It is brighter than normal for three reasons:

1. The Moon is near perigee (closest approach to Earth), making it appear up to ~7% larger and ~15% brighter than average.

2. The Earth-Moon system is near perihelion (closest approach to the sun), brightening the Moon another 3%.

3. Fresh snow reflects as much as 90% of incoming moonlight, making the night feel more like twilight.

“We’re going out again on Jan. 3rd,” says Phillips. Why? “Because the Moon and Jupiter will be in conjunction,” he explains. We saw them converging on Jan. 2nd, and the view tonight will be even better.”

GEOMAGNETIC STORM FORECAST: Geomagnetic storms are possible on Jan. 3-4 when a pair of CMEs might hit Earth’s magnetic field. CME #1 was launched by a powerful M7-flare on Dec. 31st. CME #2 followed on Jan. 1st, propelled by a weaker but better aimed C6-flare. Their combined impact could cause G2-class geomagnetic storms. The only bad news: Aurora visibility will be reduced by glare from the full Wolf Moon

NOTE: Same bad news for the Quadrantid meteor shower directly overhead. They are best seen after the Moon moves out of the zenith position. Though, fireballs may be seen in the Full Moon Light.

Sunspot 4324 is in position for an Earth-directed geoeffective hit. The ultraviolet image of the emerging coronal hole means Solar Winds in the forecast, not to mention the brighter fires burning in the danger-zone, below Sunspot 4324.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity

7 Crocodile/IMIX is the threshold of a New Conception of Reality. The Divine Justice for Faith is Knowing. What we held to by Faith, God makes visible. The Winds of Change are aimed at Earth by the Light and Heat of the Truth. IMIX is the Alpha and simply the beginning of all things and the Day is the Dawn of a New Awakening.

Earth will be in its closest position to the Sun for about 3 Days. Every “about 3” is a Sign of Divine Trinity. Jesus died at about 3:00 pm. We have about 3 minutes to live when we’ve taken our final breath. Christ was resurrected in 3 Days.

The Wind on the Way tomorrow, 8 Wind/IK arrive as the Zenith Light of the Truth that God is the Word.

For about 3 Days we are held in the Balance between the Sun and the Supermoon. Our Spirit is in the perfect position to receive the Maximum Light of the Moon and the Sun in Perihelion.

Galactic Tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of Divine Will. With a keen sense of ethics, Seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.

Crocodile/IMIX: Crocodile receives messages of primal creative force; simply the beginning of all things. Crocodiles who follow their hearts are seen as genius. There is no order to the primal messages, so Crocodile persons should direct their energies toward practical and cooperative efforts to bring productive results. Crocodiles have a strong nurturing energy and will work hard to provide security to family and friends. Being extremely territorial, Crocodiles must watch not to be over protective or too dominating. While in these states, Crocodiles are insecure, indecisive and emotionally volatile.

A GOOD DAY TO: Open to new beginnings.

Cherokee Turtle/ DAK’SI  I’SB:  Symbol, Turtle Island. Direction East. The Turtle Constellation Orion, one of three stars in the Cosmic Egg. In Mayan this is the Cosmic Hearth.  Energy of Creative force at the one-on-one, personal level; dawn, awakening, birth. The beginning of each new era, this star in Orion appears with the rising Sun, heralding the creation of a new World cycle. TOTEM Imix/Dragon – Energy to understand all things sacred. Creation energy, connection for visions to learn the mysteries of the Universal knowledge. The dragon carries the source energy of life, revered in ancient cultures for power and wisdom.
